  1. Q5. (John 1:33) How does John the Baptist's baptism differ from the baptism that Jesus brings? John the Baptist baptism was by water for the remission of sin. The baptism that Jesus bring is the baptism of the Holy Spirit, that sanctifies, purifies, purges the believer of the old sinful habits. scripture teaches in Acts 5:32 Holy Ghost whom God hath given to them that obey him, John 7:39 The Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive; John 7:17 sanctify them through thy truth thy word is true. "What does a baptism of the Holy Spirit" imply about this event? The baptism of the Holy Spirit is like a stamp of approval, baptism of the Holy spirit is like a seal, a evidence that you belong to God now.
  2. Lesson 1 Q5. (John 1:18) What does it means that Jesus is the "only God" or the "only Begotten God" I fear lest I take anything out of the word, or put anything. the scripture truly teaches that is the 'Only Begotten" of the Father. John i: 14 state that Jesus is the "Only Begotten" of the Father, full of grace and truth; John 1:18 teaches "God" the only begotten son he hath declared. When I read 1 Corinthians 8: 1-6 this state that there is one God. Yes John clearly made a distinction between the Father and the son! Colossians 1:15 also state who is the image of the invisible God the firstborn of every creature. This means that there is three distinct member of the Godhead: there is God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Genesis1:26 states "God said, Let us make man in our image; Gen. 3:22 states " man is become as one of us, to know good and evil, Matthew 3:17 "This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Pertaining to the Holy Spirit Scripture, also states in Luke 3:22 The Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove.
  3. Q4. (John 1:29) the title "Lamb of God" that John speaks of was the perfect sacrifice that was able to atone for the sins of man. Nothing else was pure enough that could cleanse or wash away our sins. Jesus fulfill Isaiah's prophecy (Isaiah 53:4-5 surely he hath borne our grief's, and carried our sorrows: yet we did not esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.) (But he was wounded for our transgression, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement was upon him: and with his stripe we are healed)
  4. Q1(John I:1-3) According to the Apostle John, is Jesus fully God? what does it mean that Jesus is the " word"? what does it say about him and his ministry? without a doubt I believe that John new that Jesus is fully God since his birth also was divinely plan seeing his parent was past childbearing age. Jesus the "word" as John declared to means that Jesus the son exit with the Father, and like the Father in oneness of purpose and will. Jesus' ministry was to do the Fathers' will.
  5. John showed humility by taking the focus off himself; even thought this was fulfillment of scripture, and instead pointed the people to look to Jesus the Lamb of God. Who was in the personage of god the Son. John saw himself just as a messenger sent to echo the coming of the messiah. I also believe That John knowing this even from the womb that he was going to be voice and Jesus helped him keep things in perspective.
