I believe he is talking about the eternal rest we will receive when we go to be with the Lord. Be on our guard so we are not led into sin.

Christ is our High Priest and we are not to return to world things. So we don't lose our salvation. We will lose out on Christ Priesthood.

Because we are human we can fall away by cares of this world,

The Son is God himself, he chooses to please his Father because Gods will is his will,

Jesus is son and God as they are 2 of the three in one, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. There is no one higher than Jesus.
