Because they are not spiritually and emotionally mature; trying to fulfill only their own interests instead of Jesus Christ's. Running to fulfill their underlying desire of power and control of church, church leaders have no genuine interest in church members welfare, they are self-absorbed, they have their own hidden agenda. Jesus Christ has to make me spiritually and emotionally mature; to make me strong in dealing the interests of other church members rather than mine. Jesus Christ has to rework me so that I will be a good servant of Him. To make me a genuine and selfless servant of Him. Jesus is at work in me; He has started working.

As Jesus Christ obeyed God and sacrificed Himself even to the death on the cross which honored God; so should our sufferings look like as a " drink offering" poured out before God. When we pass through struggles and obstacles for the faith and the word of God, then we obey Him, this honor God. When the unbelieving people see that when you pass through struggles and obstacles for your faith, and when you pass through sufferings; then these people start believing that after passing these sufferings there is good thing coming and start believing. When more people are converted by believing Jesus Christ and become new born. this brings value.

To sick to the word of God the bible, which is the word of life, no other word which interpreted it by ourselves is word of life. To pray to God to make us hold fast to His words, nothing but His words. So that we do not loose it. When the church hold fast to the word of life, she can call the ones which have not believed. When the true word of life is preached, it will be good news to those who have not believed, faith comes from the good news message and the message is heard through the word of Christ. People will be cleaned from their sins and be born again.

Q2. Shining as Stars
solomon befikadu replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #4. God Is at Work in You (Philippians 2:12-18)
Rigid argument will lead us to disaggrement, so we have to stop complaining and arguing and use free exchange of ideas in love and a spirit of unity. God enlightens all His children with His words as we obey Him with fear and trembling. These ideas we have to exchange them with love and spirit of unity and not with complaining and argument; when we do this the church will shine as stars in a dark sky. To be seen as away to salvation in this sinful and dark world, so that sinful people from this world see the light and return themselves to God. Pray to God, so thatGod gives us the answer to these arguments. Discuss on the points of argument with love and spirit of unity and let the God of our salvation give us the answers. -
To achieve a goal which God requires from us, we have to surrender to God, stop uor resistance to God; so that God will work our salvation. We have to workout our salvation with fear and trembling for it is God who works in us. We have to work out the implications and life style of salvation. No. It is sanctification, becoming like Christians leaving sins behind, is not about individuals becoming like Christ, but the whole church. As is is written to the church as the body of Christ; about the life of the church, the life of the community.

Q4. Exalting the Humble
solomon befikadu replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #3. He Emptied Himself (Philippians 2:1-11)
It is written in the scriptures many places, who ever humbles himself will be exalted. It is God's words that we must believe. Heaven and earth will pass away, but God's words will not pass away. So we believe it will be done to us. It is God's truth that we believe. Because we are in this world, in which pride surpasses humbleness. Our belief is not full and not strong which will affect us exercise Christ like humbleness. It will lead us to go in the wrong direction, our belief will come into question. If we do not humble ourselves, pride will be part of us which will affect our selflessness and humility. Which is not Christ like nature of us and sin will conquer us. When we are proud we depart from God, this will lead us to death spiritually. -
Q3. Jesus the Human Being
solomon befikadu replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #3. He Emptied Himself (Philippians 2:1-11)
Jesus was a human being. Jesus came from heaven from God to save us from our sins, by being like us, to carry our sins and make us clean from uor sins, to teach us how we can be saved and how we can leave with out sin by being as servant. Since sins were cleansed by the blood, previously it was by the lamb which cleaned the sins, and that could not clean sins completely. Due to this reason Jesus has to come as a man and sacrify himself, through His blood our sins are cleaned once and for all. That is why Jesus has to come as human. Who ever believes in Christ Jesus by His blood all sins are forgiven. -
Q2. Equality with God
solomon befikadu replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #3. He Emptied Himself (Philippians 2:1-11)
The preexistent Christ already possessed equality with God, Christ is God; He doesn't need to cling. When it says in a very nature God, it says every aspect of God's nature is Christ. God is Christ. -
Q1. Humility and Unity
solomon befikadu replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #3. He Emptied Himself (Philippians 2:1-11)
Genuine humility will save the congregation from being decided, which goes to the extent of members leaving that church. Members of the church when they see a negative humility , they leave the church to look for a better worship place. When church leaders are considering own self and forgetting others, selfish ambition, then they lack humility, causing a division in the church which is the body Christ. -
Q1. Humility and Unity
solomon befikadu replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #3. He Emptied Himself (Philippians 2:1-11)
Considering others better than you, to look not only to your own interest, but to look also to the interests of others. So that the church can be saved. -
When you are undergoing personal struggle , stress and problems; and you do not mind these, but witness Jesus Christ; this encourage others and you will be good witness and you will be more credible. Even though he is in prison and in chains, he is not thinking of his position or his problems, but instead he is thinking and witnessing the gospel of Christ Not having enough knowledge of the gospel of Christ and struggling to have good knowledge so that I will be a good witness of the gospel of Christ.
-
It teaches us when we die and depart from our body, immediately we will be at home with Christ our Lord. It is far better to leave this world which is full of struggles and stress, and comforted in the presence of Jesus Christ. This energizes us longing for the time to come and waiting to go home to Christ.
-
When we are afraid of death and when we are not quite certain that beyond death is Christ' presence. When we are of death and loss of this material world then our tongues are bind. As Christ has taught us " For whoever want to save his life will loose it, but whoever looses his life for me will find it". So if we are bold witnesses of Christ then we get an abundant life. Not enough abundant faith and not having good knowledge of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Because God is the creator, the owner and the keeper of the universe; this is why when I have faith that God is in control I will rejoice or my ability to rejoice depends. When I believe God is in control. When we are in Christ, that Christ controls our destiny. God who created me will not abandon me, so he is in control. God gave his only son for my sins. Jesus Christ who saved me from my sins controls my destiny.

When you are undergoing personal struggle, stress and problems; and you did not mind your problems, but witness Jesus Christ ; this enchorages others and you will be more credible. Even though he is in prison and in chains, he did not mind his position or his problems, but he is thinking of witnessing the gospel of Christ. My personal struggle is to know more about the gospel of Christ. To have very good knowledge of the gospel of Christ, so that I can be good witness of Christ.
