Salvation is really "selling out" or "being all in" to the King and kingdom life. When we understand the message of the kingdom and totally embrace it, our hearts become the soil in which fruit is produced. If we don't have understanding or have ears to hear and do, then natural and supernatural forces will try to steal, kill, or destroy the work of God in you.

When you are blinded by self-righteousness you see no need for repentance. A "once-and-for-all" baptism would have been far below a pious Pharisee. When you think the direction you're going is the right way why change directions, right? The true humility necessary for a public display of repentance and remorse is seldom found where pride dwells in a brood of vipers.

Repentance is about a change of mind, which in turn leads to a change of heart and direction. The Word says that we shouldn't be conformed to this world but to be transformed by the renewing of our mind. This transformation requires a change of mind, thus repentance is necessary. The only way to be conformed to Kingdom life and living is through faith in the King, Jesus. Following Him will be contrary to the direction of unrepentant lives.
