I am from Louisiana, retired. Teaching an Adult Bible Study Class where we read the Bible together one chapter at a time. I realized early on that teaching meant I had to do a lot of research so my class would know background, and all the why, when, where, and who of the scripture. They ask a lot of questions! The OT writings really needs a lot of digging, but all the reading and research is so rewarding when my students and I know what is transpiring and read the words we have heard over and over in our lives. The most exciting part is when they discuss the scripture lessons and apply them to our lives and times today. I bought the Isaiah book because I love its poetry.
