Q5. (1 Timothy 6:20-21) How can we guard the faith without becoming narrow, backward-looking people who oppose all change, and complain about what things are coming to? How can guards be at the same time positive, loving, and pleasant to be around? Paul writing to Timothy also apples to us today. Guard what has been entrusted to your care turning away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, which some have professed and in doing so have wandered from the Faith. WE are to guard what has been entrusted to our care. Sacred trust- God's message and teaching that we have received by Pastors and leaders who speak Biblical truth.

Q4. (1 Timothy 6:17-19) What kind of actions are the best antidote for the love of money? Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. ( 1 Timothy 6:17). WE can cultivate generosity by: 1. Hope in God. 2. Do good 3. Be rich in good deeds. 4. Be generous. 5. Be willing to share with love and not expecting anything in return.

Q3. ( 1 Timothy 6:7-10) How does love for money grow? How does it become a trap? How do you escape this deceptive trap? Money grows from selfish desires. The more they have the more they want. Some people that are eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. People have ruin their lives causing destruction. For the love of money is a root to all evil. (1 Timothy 6:10). It's okay to have but it's how you use to spend it. Wisdom! Keeping your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have. ( Hebrews 13:5).

Q2. (1 Timothy 6:6) why should we seek contentment? God promises that he will never leave us nor forsake us. And, we should learn to be content with what ever we have, because there are so many people suffering because they don' even have a glass of water to drink. I have learn to be content with what I have. This is what Paul said in (Philippians 4:11). Paul wasn't against wealth, but he saw it as dangerously seductive as Jesus did. Simple trust and we content in what you have. Matthew 6:32-33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.

Q1. (1 Timothy 6:5) why do you think people are so susceptible to distorted Bible teaching concerning financial gain? Greed! It was because the false teachers had done they were to doctrinally link godliness with wealth. There are some teachers today that proclaim poverty is a sin and a bondage. Wealth is God's blessing on the godly. If we believe the promises of God, we will prosper financially. The difference is there is some truth in these teachings, but some teachers warped and distort the truth. Remember the heart is deceiving even if some teachers had the right heart toward money, their disciples and modern proponents of these doctrines often don't.

Q5. (1 Timothy 6:1-2) In what ways has the Gospel sown the seeds that will eventually, destroy slavery? The Truth will set you Free. "Seed of Freedom" and "Free in Christ." Paul condone slavery because some slaves were captives of war and others had sold themselves into slavery because they could not provide for themselves.

Q4. (1 Timothy 5:22-25) Why does Paul say "Don't be hasty in the laying on of hands"? Paul says that a church should never be in a hurry to choose it leaders, especially a pastor, because major problems or sins might be over looked. The dangers in doing so is when ordaining people whose lives we don't really know deeply we can share in their sins. We can lessened this first the person must be called by God through the Holy Spirit, meet the biblical qualifications, and then be confirmed by the body of believers who are in charge with the approval process.

Q3 (1 Timothy 5:19-21) Why was it necessary to make formal accusations and try the false teachers? There must be two/three witnesses. Any accusation must be well supported or it should not even be considered. "Proof." The temptations to compromise was to keep these instructions without partiality and no nothing our of favoritism. Its difficult to exercise favoritism because many leaders are unaware of the biblical mandate or unsure how to start the process. They don't want to appear judgmental. The church has a wide-open front door. They've had a bad experience with discipline in the past. etc.

Q2 ( 1 Timothy 5:17-18) In what circumstances should elders be compensated financially? Faithful pastors and church leaders should be supported and appreciated. The Scripture (5:17) Elders who do their work well should be respected and paid well especially those who work hard at both preaching and teaching. Preaching is proclaiming the Word of God and confronting listeners with the true Scripture. Teaching is explaining the truth in Scripture helping learners understand difficult passages and helping them apply God's Word to daily life.

Q1 ( 1 Timothy 5:16) What responsibility do we have to help aging family members? According to God's Word if a widow has children/grandchildren, we are to have wisdom, and compassion and put what we have learn from God that we should care for our aging family. Our best way as a Christian is when we do this in live it pleases God..As a Christian it is also our responsibility not the church. The church will be able to help those widows who are really in need. This "repayment" of debt is found in the Ten Commandments. "Honor your Father and your mother." (Exodus 20:12) Paul compares this with people who have denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. Failing to do is to deny the very faith you claim to believe.

Q4. (1 Timothy 4:12) Rigid, unsmiling, orthodoxy can teach right doctrine, but cannot produce godliness. Why not? Paul teaches that if we are examples of the believers of Jesus Christ, we can help bring salvation to ourselves and others. We are to set an example of love, faith, be devoted to reading scripture. A strong example of godliness is to let no one despise you no matter your age as Timothy was young. As a believer set an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

Q3 (1 Timothy 4:7-8) How would you define "godliness"? The reverent awareness of God's sovereignty over every aspect of life, and the attendant determination to honor him in all one's conduct. Love for God, pleasing God. When we fall short of the glory of God, we repent, ask forgiveness, and get up to follow our Lord again, wash in the forgiveness of God produces godliness in a person. It is the spiritual fruit that comes form a pattern of yielding again and again to the Holy Spirit. Godliness comes from seeking to please God; from submitting as a way of life to the gentle leading of the Holy Spirit as well as to his occasional rebuke.

Q2. (1 Timothy 4:3-5) Why is performance of legalistic requirements so attractive to people? These teachers should have known the truth but they chose to deny it. Based on the viewpoint that in order for a ruler to maintain order in society, people must obey a set of strict laws and those in authority. God created everything and it was good, and nothing is to be rejected, if its is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer. This fruit produces deception in a person life. The emphasis so different from the true gospel because it distorts the truth of the gospel.

Q1. (1 Timothy 4:1-2) Why does Paul remind Timothy (and church) of predictions concerning wide spread apostasy? Jesus had foretold what would happened. Paul reminds Timothy not to be surprised or overwhelmed by the chaos he sees in the church at Ephesus. False teachers were and still are a threat to the church. Jesus and the apostles repeatedly warned against them. A teacher, speaker, or writer may appear to be knowledgeable, disciplined, and moral, and may claim to be speaking for God. But, if that person's words contradict the Bible, their teachings proves false. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose conscience have been seared as with a hot iron( meaning their conscience are dead. Like Timothy, we must guard against any teaching that causes believers to dilute or reject any aspect of faith.

Q4. ( 1 Timothy 3) According to our text, do you see differences in qualifications between overseers/elders and deacons? What are they? In the body of Christ we all have a part to play. The office of the bishop or overseer is both a great privilege and an awesome responsibility. The overseer is to shepherd, direct, teach , and protect the flock of God entrusted to him with integrity and humility, looking to the Lord Jesus as the model for ministry. The office of an elder is given in Scripture to provide spiritual nurture and protection for the church. The role of an deacon can include administering the sacrament of Baptism, distributing the elements at Holy Communion, preaching, blessing marriages, and officiating at funerals and burial services.

Q3. (1 Timothy 3; Titus 1:6-9) Why are tendencies to anger, intimidation, force, and pride so important to consider in selecting church officers? If we overlook these ungodly behaviors the church will go downhill. These are the people that any leader would want to avoid. We want to bring people to Christ not lead them astray. Again, if you don't consider these factors the true love of God has gone astray.

Q2. (1 Timothy 3:6, 10 ; Titus 1:6-9) Why should leaders be observed carefully and tested before placing them in office? Choosing a leader should be the leading of the Holy Spirit. Paul states Overseers (above reproach), Elders (blameless) and Deacons (nothing against them). Of course! we are not perfect, but the Holy Spirit will empower the chosen. A godly leaser will demonstrate the Fruit of the Spirit. A leader should have the basic character be faithful, trustworthy, a person who loves God and love what is good. Upright, use wisdom when having to make a choice. Have a good heart. Must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited, and fall under the same judgment as the devil. In today's society some church people are just letting anybody come in to join just to make a name for themselves. When this is done they are setting themselves up for the enemy. What should you be looking for during this period? A Godly person who will do the will of God from his heart. And not so called godly people that will commit ungodly things that and will hurt the house of the Lord.

Q1. (1 Timothy 3:2-12) Titus 1:6 What kind of leader do you believe Paul is indicating for us with the phrase "husband of one wife? Paul meant that literally a married man should be a one-woman man. A man should not **** for another woman, nor commit adultery. A man should be faithful in his marriage as well as a married woman. Having a godly relationship first with God. Why is a leader's family an important indicator of leadership potential or problems. A godly leader should b e able to manage his own family well and see that this children obey him with proper respect. When a leader is respected and shows that he is capable of straighten communities and values the feelings of others this makes his voice heard he will will enable to make positive changes. When a leader cannot control his own home and there's no respect and his priorities are not in alignment with the will of God there will always be downfalls.

Q5. (1 Timothy 2:11-15) How should Paul's instructions about women teaching and leading in the church be applied in the twenty-first century? Paul did not forbid women from ever teaching. Paul commended co worker Priscilla because she taught Apollos, the great preacher (Acts 18:24-26). Paul mentions many other women who held positions of responsibility in the church. I today's society there are many wonderful women who were blessed with the gift of teaching through the Holy Spirit. Teaching is one of the Five Fold Ministry. Paul was very likely prohibiting the Ephesian women because they didn't yet have enough knowledge or experience. How did you support your view? I support this view of women teaching, because the Holy Spirit has given us many different gifts to build up the church. I was a Sunday School Bible teacher and as of today I was blessed to continue to teach guided by the guidance of the Holy Spirit. In the Bible their were many women that was blessed with the gift of teaching and leadership. We can see an example in the book of Judges how God used Deborah and many other women.

Q4. ( 1 Timothy 2:9-10) How did women dressing in fancy clothes threaten to compromise the church's witness in Ephesus? I believe that many women who dressed in fancy clothes perhaps were new to the church. They probably had little understanding how to dress appropriately. However, Paul was not prohibiting these things, he was simply saying that women should be careful about drawing attention to themselves through how they dress. In today's society many people has lost respect for the house of the Lord. Many dress like they were coming to party. In reality some women dress so ungodly that by dressing that way they think they might find a husband. Some dress according to the 'modern world." How do we apply the principle of Paul's directive in twenty-first century churches without instituting a new legalism? I am a Minister and teach Bible studies at the senior complex where I live. I dress casual but with respect. When I go to church if I put something on that doesn't seem correct the Holy Spirit will convict me. Example: if i wear a top and I feel uncomfortable I will take it off and put on an under tee shirt. In other words I am not revealing anything that shouldn't. Our bodies is the temple of God. As a Christian woman of God women should not go to church revealing anything that will or can make a man sin/****. We should not want to draw attention towards others. Remember God doesn't look at the outward appearance. Paul emphasizes that women of God should dress modestly, with decency and respect for themselves.

Q3. (1 Timothy 2:8) What problem among the men of the congregation is Paul referring to in this verse? Besides displeasing God, anger and controversy make a prayer difficult. The problem was due to again controversies stirred up by false teachers, the men in the church of Ephesus have been in constant disputes. What is so serious about worshiping with the opposite at love in your heart. Jesus says in (Matthew: 53-24) that we should interrupt our prayers, if necessary, to make peace with others. God wants obedience and our goal should be to have a good relationship with God and with others. Remember God sees out heart. And, because of serious controversies it had affected the purity of worship in the church.

Q2. (1 Timothy 2:5-6) In the context of the salvation of all, why do you think Paul emphasizes the roles of Mediator and Ransom? A mediator is someone who speaks on behalf of two parties to help settle any disagreements between both and come to a favorable agreement on behalf of both parties. In what way did Christ fulfill both these roles? Jesus acts as our mediator with God in our behalf. Jesus who brings reconciliation He does this when we sin again God. God paid a huge price for His Son Jesus as a ransom on the Cross for the redemption of our sins. A one time sacrifice.

Q1. (1 Timothy 2:1-4) Why does Paul emphasize salvation of all mankind in this letter? The Good News has universal scope: it is not directed only to people of one race, one sex, or one national background. God loves the whole world and sent his Son to save sinners. (John 3:16). His mercy and promise of salvation reaches you, your loved ones, and those who are still far away from him. (Acts: 2:39). What does this suggest about the practice of evangelism in the Ephesus church? They engaged in false teachers/teachings. They were so focused on Jewish and myths, the minutiae of the Scriptures, that they forgot the Great Commission the main reason of Christ's command to declare the gospel of salvation to the world.

Q.45 (John 6:53-58) The metaphor of "eat the flesh of the son of Man and drink his blood, mean in practical team is "communion." When the Israelites were in the wilderness mana came from heaven and this is what God sent. Bread from heaven is flesh of Jesus. Bread represents Jesus body and his blood is the symbol of wine, eaten and drinking at communion. The Bread is Jesus flesh in which he gave for the life of the world and the wine is the blood shed as His blood. When you nibble on something you are just taking little bits here and there your not really consuming anything. The bread of life this is my body take and it and this is my blood take and drink. When we partake in communion we are acknowledging what Jesus did on the Cross for us. Jesus was very bold and loving. Many disciples couldn't continue to follow Jesus because his teachings were bold and many people couldn't handle it. They found it to be to strenuous to follow this walk with Him. Like today many people don'rt want to submit to God because they feel the flesh is more easier to live than to be a follower of Jesus.

Q.44 (John 15:45) To abide in Christ is allowing His Word to fill our minds, direct our wills, and transform our affections. To obey Christ and everything he taught. We abide coming to before God in prayer, Spending time with the Father by reading the Holy Scriptures. Trusting and depending on the Lord every day for everything. We must remember that it is His grace that sustains you and He is the one who causes your spiritual growth as you come to Him in trust and yield to Him. Abiding have to do with mutual indwelling is love of God. A personal relationship with the Lord means at the end we may here "Well done,good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your Master. Apart from me you can do nothing. No branch can bear fruit by itself...And every single one of our accomplishments is by the grace of God. We are nothing without Him. Value of things done without Christ? There is no value. It is meaningless. The final end of things done without Chris? Is damnation!
