  1. 3:3 Disciples Requires Obedience: (Matthew 21`:28-31) Q 13: Which son represents the tax collectors and prostitutes? The first son represents the the tax collectors and prostitutes. The first 1st son refused to obey, but later changed his mind. In other words he repented of his answer to his father and choose to be obedient. This is like when we repent of whatever we do and choose to obey the Word of God we find true repentance it is the mark of a true Jesus follower. Why is it harder to actually obey, rather than just mouth the words? I believe is because we are sinners many people are full of pride are scared of rejection, or do not completely trust God. We have an example. (Gen 2:16-17). God commanded Adam not to eat from the tree of knowledge. However, when we are obedient to God, He can use it for His good purpose. How is the lessons of the parable similar to the lesson of the parable of the wise and foolish builders? (Matthew 7:24-27) Obedience and repentance. The 1st. was wise and the 2nd were foolish. Why is actual obedience essential to true discipleship? Although we are saved by Grace through the redemptive work of the cross and by the Blood of Jesus, it is our obedience sets us apart as authentic children of God. The point of this parables is clear. Those who refuse God, but later repent and obey, like the first son, will inherit the Kingdom. Q: 14 What is humorous about the parable of the speck and the beam? (Mote and the Beam). People want to judge you for the wrong actions you may commit, but they refuse to check themselves out. People who do this are spiritually blind. They seem to notice someone else mistake, but not theirs. There is an old saying check yourself before you wreck yourself. In other words don't be such a hypocrite in judging when you yourself is a sinner. How ca we get to a place where we can see with clear spiritual eyes? When we allow the full light of Jesus Christ's presence and truth to flow into us. Because Jesus is the Light of the world. Why does Paul insist that "spiritual" members correct sinning Christians with gentleness? We all have sin and have fall short of the glory of God. However, God wants Christians to help each other in a loving way. We should not judge one another. Mature Christians should display the Fruit of the Spirit when we need to correct someone. (Galatians 5:22-23) . What does judgementalism have to do with hypocrisy? Both have a lot in common. Judgementalism is forming opinions too quickly about someone or something when you disapproved. The Pharisees were an example because they saw Jesus perform miracles and always had something to say about Him. Hypocrisy is also when a person tells others to be themselves but criticizes them for being different form the normal. Again, the Pharisees saw Jesus in a very different way.
  2. Q9 (Mark 7:14-23, Matthew 15:10-11, 15-20) What does Jesus teach about the heart of man? The things that come out of our mouths depends on out actions. The heart of man is deceiving when a person is angry, what comes out of their mouths can lots of damage. Many people can look so good from the outside, but there hearts are cold. When a person speaks unclean words this makes them an unclean person both inside and out, because we will see their true selves. Luke 6:45- For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. In other words it's like a bad tree producing fruit that we cannot eat. The evil person does bad things. His inner nature produces evil actions and evil words. What does Jeremiah 17:9 tell us about the heart of man? The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? This is why there is so much evil because of the deceitful heart of man. No one can really understand the human heart. It is less honest than anything else. Nothing can heal it when it's so evil we can see this when Jacob cheated his brother Esau about the birth rights. (Gen:27:36). Proverbs 18:4, 20:5- reads as follows God sees our hearts. He will give to people what they deserved.our hearts have been rebellious, sinful, and secretive from the moment we were born. It is easy to fall into the routine of forgetting and forsaking God, but it our choice whether to continue to sin. Why do we try to look good on the outside, but resist letting Jesus change us on the inside? The question says try to look good. This is nothing but a Facade. Many a people have a great outside appearance, but deep down they can have a malicious heart. I call it an (ungodly) heart. The inside conceals the truth about themselves. The Pharisees were an example of this their outward appearance made them look holy and the things they did, but deep down their hearts were evil towards Jesus. Again, Jesus preached the Good News many people hearts were change, but not many including the Pharisees. Why is repentance necessary for an outwardly "moral" person in order to be saved? Repentance makes it possible for us to grow and develop spiritually. Repentance is the way to provided for us to become free from our sins and received "Forgiveness" for them. This is why it's so important that when we do sin we can go directly to The Throne of Grace. Q 10 (Matthew 5:23-26) Why did Jesus tell the parable of the Guilty Defendant? If anyone has anything against a brother or sister before you go the altar to pray or worship go to that person repent and make amends. Then you may come and offer your gifts. (Luke 12:53-26). You should decide for yourselves what is right. We all have sinned against God. Therefore, we would be wise to come to him now, before the day of judgement or it may be too late. How do people we have wronged and to whom we have not kept our promises get in the way of us worshiping God properly? Any person we have wronged we are to go and asked for forgiveness. And in not keeping our promises we are consider to be a hypocrite and that will hinder our worship. In what ways is it hypocritical not to address these matters t the best of our ability? When we do not address the issue it can create division. Not only that as a believer we are to address these matters in a loving and sensible way in order to Glorified God. Q 11 Why does Jesus focus on the parable of the wise and foolish builders on "putting into practice' rather than in believing? This parable reminds me of the Ten Bridesmaids. (Matthew 25:1-13) The wise bridesmaids were ready for the groom to return. Their lamps were filled with oil which represents the Holy Spirit. We are accountable for our own actions. The ten bridesmaid were waiting to join the groom and partake in the wedding feast. However, the groom didn't come at the expected time, and the foolish ones use their oil and they went out to purchased more but it was to late. In order to build a strong foundation we are to use wisdom. Using wisdom will enable us to construct a solid foundation. The wise person who obeys the Word of the Lord is like a wise builder. When the storm comes it will not be struct down. Foolish builders are the ones who hears the Word but reject it making them to build a home with no foundation and when the storm comes it will be destroyed. How can you help young Christians move from believing to true discipleship? We are believers should set a positive example for the young Christians in worshiping in Spirit and in Truth. 1. We should help them be confident of their Salvation. 2. We should help them take more responsibility for their Spiritual Growth. 3. We should help them understand that Faith is the Foundation of Discipleship. 4. We should help them understand to put God first in everything. 5. We should help them understand that Discipleship involves making a daily effort to overcome selfish desires and ambitions. Q 12 Why is "seeking" necessary to "find" the narrow gate? (Matthew 7:13-14). To seek the narrow gate is the gate to safety meaning "Eternal Life." This seeking will enable the believer to obtain the salvation of their souls, or finally gain admission into the "Kingdom of Heaven." Why do you think Jesus concludes this brief parable with the phrase, "and only a few find it'? "Not everyone that say Lord says to Me, "Lord, Lord will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. (Matthew 7:21-23). However, those who endure till the end shall be saved. (Matthew 24:13). How is this parable designed to strengthen disciples to be willing to go against the flow, to be different from others in the culture? I believe too strengthen the disciples in the sense that this destination leads believers to "Eternal Life" and they know where they want to go and take the steps to get there. Seek and you shall find.
  3. Question #8 Who do the servants sent to collect the landowners share of the crop represent? God is the landowner. And the servants represent the Old Testament Prophets which also includes John the Baptist. What happened to Israel who rejected God's servants and Son who were sent to them? In trying to reach us with his love, God finally sent his own Son. If we ignore God's gracious gift of salvation in which the Israel did they will and have face the rejection of God Himself sending judgment. Many people today in this society is rejecting the gift of salvation for the fleshly things of the world. Have you ever seen a church reject a pastor or leader that God sends to help them? I can not say I have encounter a situation like this, but have seen and heard people reject the Good News. However, I was once in a Pentecostal church in which the pastor rejected me. At the time I was married and ask the pastor for advice. He literally told me to find another man and he would stand in front of Pulpit making me feel very uncomfortable with the things that was coming out his mouth. God removed me from there and as of today I have been divorced from this man. I live in Maryland. The Lord has lifted me up as a Bible teacher, wrote a book and currently hold a two year license as a Minister. Living peacefully and joyfully in the eyes of the Lord with my dog. And, I owe it all to the Lord. Yes! have faced many many opposition in this walk but My God has not forsaken me and has given me Victory. And, at one time I visited a church and was kicked out because I was carrying a Bible... Why is supporting our pastors and leaders important to God's plan for the church? (Hebrews 13:7, 17) As the body of Christ we are to support our pastors and leaders, because they play a significant role in the body of Christ. God has chosen them as shepherds to leas the flock. They are part of the Five Fold Ministry. They teach is the Word of God and wants the best for us. There are many good pastors who led us by example through the Word of the Lord's with love and faith. However, there are many pastors who just teach us what the itching ears want to hear. We are to respect and obey our spiritual leaders, because they like us must give an account to the Lord. In the Beatitudes, how does Jesus encourage those who are rejected and persecute? (Matthew: 5:10-12) Each beatitude tells us how to be bless by God. Being blessed means more than happy. Being blessed by God means experiencing hope and no matter what the circumstances might be. We are to be joyful in circumstances and pray for those who hurt and persecute you, because "Great Rewards" awaits us. Amen!
  4. Q#5 (Luke 13:6-9)- What cause Israel's barrenness in Jesus time? Israel's barrenness was cause by lack of pride and disobedience. Their spiritual barrenness was due to lack of repentance. God is kind to us. He gives us many opportunities to repent and turn to him. But the time of our death will come. And after that there will be the judgement for all those who didn't repent and didn't accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. What keeps the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Gal. 5:22-23) from growing and maturing in our lives? When we live by Jesus' Fruit of the Spirit, we become people of love. God is Love. We fulfill God's commandments to love others as ourselves. If we lack this it prevents us from growing and maturing in our lives. What can we disciples learn from the Parable of the Barren Fig Tree? God is merciful and willing to forgive. It is also a warning to believers that they must bear fruits after their conversion worthy of repentance or risk of condemnation. Also, He expects us a believers to act, upon our love for Him, rather than just saying empty words/promises. 1. The Master expects Fruit. 2. The Master is patient with us. 3. A time is coming when the Master's Patience will run out. 4. The Master will help us bear-fruit.
  5. The parable of the unmerciful servant, where do you see Justice? "Karma"...What goes around comes around. The master did to the unmerciful servant what the unmerciful servant did to the begging servant. H was put in jail, but suffered greatly because he was tortured. Something that perhaps he would of never image would happened to him. This reminds me of the verse (Hebrews 10:31) It is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God. Grace was still upon him because he probably didn't get what he really deserved. And, he didn't realize that the servants master had taken pity on him and cancelling his debt. The same way he begged the other man begged. The man showed his greed for his money and not having compassion on the other man who begged him. Unforgiveness, in today's society is so hard for many. People do what they want to do and feel they can get away with stuff. Now once they care caught they tried to get out the situation. People will harm others and if the tables turn they will not forgive. The unmerciful servant only thought about himself. He showed no empathy towards the other man. We see that in today's world. We as followers of Christ we must forgive from the heart not just words. It is said in the Lord's Prayer. "Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. We are to constant forgive others as hard as it may seem and ask for forgiveness also. This is part of the Christian wlk.
  6. We serve a loving God. God had already forgiven her for her sins. Because she loved much. Whatever her sin was she had heard Jesus speak before and she knew where to find him and express how much she loved him. She had repented and she knew Jesus would truly forgive her. This was the woman with the alabaster bottle of perfume. She gave her heart and soul when she shed those tears and used the expensive perfume oil. She knew Jesus deserved the best. My gratitude for Jesus is beyond words that I can express. He has not let me down. What Jesus did for me on the Cross says it all. He did it for me, us and you. One time sacrifice on that Cross is more than gratitude. It is love. I am grateful for all He has done, will do and continue to do in my lives and the lives of all that truly believe Him. Salvation is the best Free Gift we can ever received. Again, it is because of what Jesus Christ did on the Cross. The result when God saves us from sin and punishment; the new life that God gives to those people who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.
  7. This parable and the other two have in common that Our Loving Father wishes for no one to be lost. Again, God is a Merciful, Compassionate and Loving Father that loves His children. Even though the father grated his young wish, I truly believe that father knew there was going to be a lesson learn from all this. In the end the lost son came back, repented and his father welcome him with open arms. It was also a lesson don't take for granted for what you have. Be content with what you have. Like Our heavenly Father He took will welcome us back with open arms when we repent. The young thought that his money was his value. When all the time His father values of giving him the best at home was right in front of him. A good father who wanted the best for his sons. I can understand the older son feeling jealous, but he value his father and would of never done what his younger brother did. He really didn't understand what grace, mercy and compassion was all about. But his father reassured him that he was also valuable to him. We all make mistakes. We all fall short of the glory of God. But when we truly come to our senses and realize what is wrong we c an come to the Throne of Grace and Repent and ask for Forgiveness. The lines to heaven are open 24/7. We are not to judge but help the lost find their way back to God in a loving way. This is what Ministry is all about being Jesus eyes, mouth and feet to help reach the lost.
  8. I Have learn that parables are earthly stories with a heavenly meaning. The Lord Jesus frequently used parables as a means of illustrating profound, divine truths. Stories such as these are easily remembered, the characters bold, and the symbolism rich meaning. We serve a loving Father who wishes for no one to perish. However, in order to get to Him we must seek Jesus first. Jesus gave His life for the sinners and for all who would repent. The parable of the the lost sheep and the lost coin both represent something lost and the person diligently searching for what has been lost. Each lost item is consider a lost soul. Each item found represents Joy and rejoicing for what has been lost. The Lord and the Angels rejoice when at least one sinner repents and come to seek Jesus. Jesus came for the lost. We are all valuable in the eyes of the Lord. Again, we serve a loving God and He will make sure that He saves the ones that truly want to be saved and believed in His Son Jesus Christ. The Pharisees were so religious and legalistic. They follow their own traditions and believe in certain about the Law of Moses. They were considered like the separate ones. They complained because they wanted to still be in power over the people. In today's society many people who do not believe in Jesus Christ will talk and complain about those that do want or know Jesus Christ. The Pharisees Jesus saw them as hypocrites. Jesus Christ is the best teacher that we can all learn. His value towards people were filled with love, mercy and compassion. He did not discriminate anyone. He loved the most detestable person that other people consider. We are not to judge anyone. When going to spread the Good News we need to be at the person level and let them know how much Jesus loved us because of what He did for us.
  9. Sometimes we can become stubborn like a donkey and refuse to walk towards the path God has for us. That is why the Lord will discipline you in a way that you may see the light and remove you from your comfort zone. It’s not easy, but God will never leave you no forsake you. When anyone persecute the children of God they are really persecuting the Lord Himself. God used Ananias to opened the way for the Lord to-use him as the powerful man he became to do the work of the Lord.
  10. We only here certain news around the world. However, so many Christians are suffering because their rights have been taken from them. Many around the world like China are not allowed to carry Bibles. Many have lost their lives just by saying they love Jesus. They must go to the underground caves to go read the Word and worship Jesus crying out for Grace and Mercy. We are so bless we can carry our Bibles. The Bible tells us those who endure till the end shall be save. God's promise in Revelation He will wipe away every tear and no more suffering. Amen
  11. I am the Alpha and the Omega the beginning and the end. Jesus the son is the First and the last. He is the living one. He lives forever and ever. Jesus and God are one.
  12. This book is dedicated to Jesus Christ alone. Because of what he has done for his people. Jesus loves us. He has freed us from our sins. He rose from the dead. We live because He lives. And, because of what He did on the cross shedding his precious Blood for you and me.
