God has made us "partakers of the divine nature.” Because we have the old mind (set), our minds need to be consistently renewed (1 Romans 12:1-2); moving away from the mind of the flesh and into the mind of Christ. "God is spirit, and His worshippers must worship in spirit and in truth. To have the mind of Christ, a person must first have the Holy Spirit.
