Hello, It reminds me of what Jesus said in Luke 9:23, if anyone wants to follow Him (paraphrase) the we must first deny ourselves then take up your cross and follow Him, the epitome of humility wrapped in flesh. Self denial takes the focus off self. When we can master that then the rest becomes a little bit easier but we are then focused on others and how Jesus would respond.
