Q3. Worshiping Freely
crissy464 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 8. David Brings the Ark to Jerusalem (2 Samuel 6)
He composed the Psalms which were used in worship by the Israelites. He showed respect to the prophets of Yahweh/ listened to their messages. He wanted to build a temple for God/made preparations for its construction. When he made mistakes, he asked for Yahweh’s forgiveness/repented. He sought for God’s guidance in whatever he wanted to do It was a day of rejoicing as David “and all Israel were bringing up the ark of the Lord with shouts and the sound of trumpets” . David had set aside his royal robes and was “wearing a linen ephod” —a clear indication that he was not naked. A way to praise the Lord To praise the Lord -

David seems to ask God instead of thinking for himself. Should he attack the Philistines, would it be right since they did help him hide from Saul He would have been defected We think we can do it all, instead of asking God for help God wants us to depend on Him in everything Follow and trust in God

Q1. The Battle Is the Lord's
crissy464 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 6. Hezekiah’s Reign (Isaiah 36-39; 2 Kings 18)
Hezekiah could approach God directly, since he had a relationship with God he didn’t need Isaiah to act on his behalf. The spreading of the message was between Hezekiah and God God has the authority over us Hezekiah is only a servant It is the Lord’s battle, and we are to let Him fight it. Try to solve things on your own We’ll lose control -

David believed Saul was in God’s hand so he left hm alone. David remember Saul being a mighty warrior and that he was anointed by the Lord to become King The Chronicler's epitaph on Saul's life and legacy speaks of the judgment of the Lord against him: "Saul died because he was unfaithful to the LORD; he did not keep the word of the LORD and even consulted a medium for for guidance, and did not inquire of the LORD. So the LORD put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse." (1 Chronicles 10:13-14) Saul didnt look up to God For guidance or anything, he felt he could do it himself I learned to follow God
