  1. Maybe Paul was reminding Archippus not to get sidetracked and get stuck within the four walls of the Church. Perhaps the call of ministry for him was not limited to church. Archippus may have been considered a Soldier, because he was Zealous , Bold , Courageous, He Love God/Christ,the Ministry /the Kingdom work and The Church body. Perhaps he also had Great! Faith! He was Faithful, Devoted & Determined, Humble, Willing to Obey, take and follow orders, A man of Valor! Who was without fear! The Lord tells us go into the high-ways and bi-ways compel those that are lost! To me with Archippus Soldier like Characteristics, he was the right man for the job! Jesus also says, Go into all the world and preach the Gospel! I believe he was willing to go anywhere! The Lord says ,do the work of an evangelist! OUTREACH. Therefore, everyone is not called to just work inside the House (church building that is!). In my opinion, Maybe Archippus had gotten comfortable in the House (Church) and His call of ministry was to do more. Sometime a person helping other people in the local church! Can get so busy! That they start neglecting their own personal ministry that the Lord called them to do. Some ,not all, can see your Loyalty, the Gifts, Anointing ,Skills and Talents etc, things about you and try to keep you for themselves and usually they are Leaders who are Very Religious and do not understand your ministry calling Anyhow. Therefore under -minding your Ministry. So in my opinion Paul could have been sort of like Tapping Archippus on the shoulder so to speak and giving him a little whisper in the ear saying, 'Take heed, be careful don't forget to finish the ministry that The Lord gave you. Seems to me he started it and needed a pep talk to finish it. Blessings to you All!
