Q6. (Matthew 11:28-30) In what sense is Jesus "gentle and lowly in heart"? What does this tell us about him? How does this make him comfortable for struggling people to be around?
Jesus is gentle and lowly in heart by coming to us as one of us, in flesh and blood, rather than as Divine Creator and Lord. He came to us being as a man and able to relate to our human experience even though He has all Power and legions of Angels at His disposal.
It tells us that He wants to know us and for us to know Him. It tells us He desires relationship with us, and even was willing to become like us to show us how much He loves us.
When we realize the extent that He has reached out to us, we should recognize that He desires that we would find our peace and rest in Him. He always made time for the needs of those around Him. He allowed Himself to be interrupted. He wants us to walk with Him allowing Him to be our strength. He wants us to know Him. I never realized before how much it shows humility that He gives us the choice to know and receive His Love and Grace.
