  1. We should not be concerned about any situation that we face in our lives, because God's word assures us that the battle is the Lord's not ours. The Lord will fight for us and He will win if we trust in Him. There are many verses in the Bible that show us that the battle belongs to the Lord, some are located in the Old Testament and some are in the New Testament. When we are either timid or brash, we do not let the Lord fight the battle for us. If you are timid, you probably will not do what God wants you to because you are afraid that something will go wrong, or someone would think that you are stupid. If you are brash, you will take too much pride in what you are doing and thinking that you are the one winning the battle. The Lord will not fight our battles if we do not ask Him to help.
  2. Moses's rod was like a signal saying - God we are still in a battle. We still need you to help us, to fight for us! God is our banner when we praise Him by raising our banners (arms) in thansgiving unto Him. We are saying to God what our faith is in Him and His power to overcome in the battle that we are facing.
  3. Jesus didn't call on the heavenly hosts because he had to fight this one alone. He had to give His righteousness for our unrighteousness, to bring us to God. When Jesus calls on the heavenly host sin will be destroyed forever and satan will be defeated. All will see the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. Clearly Jesus Christ the Commander will be victorious.
  4. Elisha's servant was afraid because he was unable to see God's army. Elisha knew that God was there and that God's Army was mightier than Aram's Army; Elisha's servant did not. 1 John 4:4 can strengthen us in battle because it lets us know that God has our back and we shouldn't be afraid. God is greater thatn anything that comes against us. Through Jesus we are overcomers. Our faith should be in God not in ourselves or other humans.
  5. The Commander had to know that they were on his side, then he could be on their side. We need to be on God's side before he can work on our behalf. God has already told us that he is on our side and that he would not leave us. In Joshua 1:9, it tells us God is with us wherever we go. When we consider Joshua 5:13 - 6:2, we see that Joshua comes face to face with the Commander of the Lord of Hosts. When Joshua realizes who he is talking to he falls face down on the ground and takes off his sandals in an act of reverence. Joshua realized that he was in the presence of the Lord and showed the awe that he flet on the inside. This is how we should be when we are in the presence of God. Let us seek God's face with all that we have.
  6. God will abide in us and give us all the power and supplies that we need to be successful and prosperous. We have to behold or learn more about God.
  7. "King of Glory and Father of glory" tells us that God is strong and mighty. It, also, tells us that God is the King or Father of honor/respect. Our attitudes affect our worship because our worship will not be to glorify God but our ourselves. We should praise and worship God, because he is/was who he says he is.If we praise and worship God with all that we have.
  8. "High and Lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy..." means that God is High above all things in heaven and in earth. The High and Lofty One is called Holy, because He is the Supreme Power. He is greater than all things because He is our Creator, therefore he has to know more and be greater than we are. We must live our lives in a way the magnifies and glorifies God not ourselves.
  9. Most High means that there is no one greater, more powerful, or more intelligent than God (the Most High). This attitude can and should be incorporated into our worship everyday. I want to worship God by giving Him my "Most High" worship. I want to worship Him with all that I have. If he wants me to dance then I want to dance, if he wants me to run then I want to run, if he wants me to shout then I want to shout. Why worship this way, because He has given us everything that He has, so we need to give Him all that we have.
  10. Abraham and Melchizedek both believed that God was and is the one Supreme Power in the Universe. They believed that he was to be exalted above all other people and things. They believed that God blesses and is blessed by what we do for Him. We must believe as Abraham and Melchizedek believed. We must believe and obey His commandments as Abraham. We must have faith in His plan for our lives. I want to be thought of as a Friend of God as Abraham was.
