Jesus commanded "that we must repent in order to get into heaven." "Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God". We are to die by our repentance and then be raised up to new life by the Holy Spirit... we can not be born again unless we repent. Also, we serve a Holy God and we are to strive to be Holy on a daily basis with a renewal by the washing of the Word and prayer. Psalm 119:11 I treasure Your Word in my heart so I might not sin against You... The Holy Spirit also through the Word helps root out any hidden sin in our lives.

John's Baptism was the outward sign of repentance and commitment. Baptism of the Holy Spirit is the work of the inward change of attitude leading to a changed life.

. (1 John 2:26-27) If we have the Holy Spirit, why do we need teachers in the church? How does the role of the anointing differ from the Holy Spirit's spiritual gift of teaching? The anointing equips us for service and the Holy Spirit's gift of Teaching is beneficial to us through the anointing of the teacher.

How can we be serious about obeying Christ without becoming legalistic and judgmental, with a self-righteous attitude like the Pharisees had? How do love and legalism differ? How can we be serious about obedience and make love our center? We can be serious by making Jesus Lord over our lives

Blessed are they whose ways are blameless, who walk according to the law of the LORD. Psalm 119:1 In his Epistles, John says if we declare Christ as Lord, have a relationship with Him, but still walk in the darkness of disobedience, how can we be Christian? (1 John 1:6; 2:4) A Christian who denies essential doctrine would be an apostate, which means to reject the truth. It is imperative that when we say we are a follower of Christ, our character and behaviors reflect Him and His call to us to the best of our abilities which includes our temperament. If we are in leadership, this is even more imperative! We demonstrate Character and integrity when we do what we say and act out what we believe; if not, we are hypocrites, and woe to us for being one (Matt. 23)! Our call is to do as we teach, to do as we say, and to act as we teach others to act. Integrity is of the utmost importance for the Christian leader (1 Thess. 2: 10-12; 2 Peter 1-11)! Why? Because, hypocrisy gives people a false impression of God! Insincerity gives people a false impression of who we are called to be; it nullifies integrity and character! Because, God is holy, righteous and just; God exercises grace.

According to First Corinthians 1:9 all believers are called to fellowship. In the Book of Philippians it also tells us there is joy in serving Christ. When we are in fellowship with God and our fellow believers there is joy in the heart. Circles of fellowship are where we circulate. Each of us has different circles of friends, family, and fellowship. Some of those circles are close circles of fellowship. Others are not so close in fellowship. The more things that we have in common the closer our fellowship will be. This can be especially true regarding things that we feel are important to us. It is also important in forgiveness. We must exercise this toward ourselves and toward others. When we properly confess (and forsake) our sin, we are forgiven by God. If God accepts us, then we must learn to accept ourselves. If God forgives those who sin against us, we must learn to forgive them as well according to the teaching given in the Lord
