To know that God watches over me 24/7 is a relief. He knows me inside and out and knows what I do as i do it. Incredible. Not that it is like spying thats untrustworthy. But as a caring Mother watching the every move of a baby who is learning to walk making sure that there is no sharp edges that the baby can fall and hit their head on. Its out of love that he cares. It funny to think of it cause thats exactly what my parents use to say to me. "Its because we love you, that is why we discipline you" That was a long time ago and now that I am my own mother, I can understand a little better. God really knows how to make you relate to the ones who love you the most. Psalms 121 is also a worship song back in the day that I use to sing at church to. Back then being 16.. oh sooo many years ago, it was just a song with words to sing. Now there is a tremendous meaning that I discovered and learned with experience. Lifting my eyes up naturally seeing my defeat, but spiritually knowing that I have conquered with God is a praise I like to call "HALLELUJAH".

God's protection is constant, his protection overshadowing. As long as we love him, know his name and call upon him, his protection is unconditional. There is grace however for those who do not know him or call upon him for a certain time in their life because of the call and destiny in their life, but if they miss the opportunity for change and growth, then his hand of grace might lift off of them. The authority God has given us is the same as Jesus. We speak it then it shall be done. The promises God has made was to protect us, shelter us to fight off the demons for us, and to equip us. This psalm being very popular in my own study has great meaning to me. Knowing that God will protect me so that I no longer have to fear... Finally I can relax and be confident that I will arrive to my destination.

Knowing that God's protection is always with me is such a relief. Although the enemy will tempt me with fear say if I was on a plane or bus, but quoting versing to myself that promote Gods power and protection just rest the tension in my shoulders and relaxes me. Its kind of feeling like David when he was fighting Goliath. He kept on saying to not fear cause they are the children of Isreal and that they are God's children, and when he faced Goliath, even through what he saw, he still knew what will happen cause he is on God's side. The battle can be won. God's protection is like a mother hen covering her young ones with her wings just as much as it can be a rock pointing us in the direction of a higher one. No matter what kind of protection we need, he is still there to be our strong tower and refuge. Thanks God that I can place my own child in your hands to protect. Everything is possible with God.

" God Sorry for the things I have done today that wasn't cool. Forgive my sins lord and revive the fruit of self-control to be birthed in me so that I might be stronger to resist the temptation the next time. God you have been there through thick and thin with me and my husband and I ask that you continue to show your glory in our families. The broken people that have trouble coming to you God that are in our families, we bring their faces to you. You know who needs to come to you God and I ask for a way in to their lives. A way to communicate to them that you have not forgotten about them. God I pray that restoration comes to those who want it and that revival sets a blaze in our hearts to see the generation of youth grown to their full potential, know who they are in Christ, speak your word to others, heal the sick, raise the dead, deliver demons from your people and see signs, wonders and miracles happen before their eyes, Bring revival to Monteal God and let your lion roam the streets to devour the unwanted spirits of this land, this city, this province and this nation." AMEN The "recipe" for renewal and blessings : humility, prayer, commitment and repentance. and of course the holy spirit. We cannot come to God asking for things with an impure heart. Repentance and forgiveness " then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Faith and Humility should go hand in hand. You need faith in order to be saved and you need humility in order to not boast and think you are higher than God cause of the power that comes through faith. God wants pure hearts and obedient hearts. People who usually are proud are not obedient cause they do things on their own and own time, that's what gets them proud. THEY did it. NOT GOD..... So Faith and humility is a key to advancing the kingdom of God.

To know that God thinks of me during his unhurried schedule... (which in my eyes i was thinking he was too busy) its incredible to know that God the ALMIGHTY EVERLASTING KING OF KINGS NAME OVER ALL ELSE ALPHA OMEGA thinks about ME.... Little old ME. To know that he has everything all laid out for me and that the end result is with him.... what else can I ask for. The one thing that struck me was when I gave birth to my son. The love I all of a sudden had for this new baby boy, it reminded me of how much God loved and still loves me. The immense love that I had for my boy God always and will forever have for me. And its funny cause throughout my whole life there has always been 1 verse that he has constantly shown me. Whereever I was what ever I am doing. Even in a book I would read it or in a movie I would hear it but the same verse keeps me going. JEREMIAH 29:11. WHOOHOO.. God has everything under control...

All laments end with praising and thanksgiving so that we don't dwell only on the circumstance but look up to the one who will help us through it. God has been there countless times for me in desperation and remembering on those times is good enough for me to praise him. When we praise God something inside of us happens. Our soul just connects with the holy spirit and nothing can break that bond. There is this fire sensation inside that just wants to come out and scream and bring all the lost and brokenhearted to Jesus. That's the passion stirring in my heart. So when I praise him my mind, body and soul lift, my faith builds and everything around me doesn't seem to be as important as I thought they were. Praising God is the only way for those who do not know him to come to him. When they see the joy we carry, they'll want nothing else but the same.

David dares just like any of us dare to lift our heads up to God and tell him our feelings... Like he doesn't know already how we feel. Everytime challenges and struggles come my way, I say " God I shouldn't of said that, or I shouldn't of done that and I'm sorry. I pray a blessing into this situation" And then I know God has already taken over even before I started my prayer. We acknowledge our sins confess them and then ask forgiveness. Praying every day to not do those things again. God's Grace and Mercy function everyday for me. I struggle sometimes with judgment, which I'm sure I'm not the only one, however for me, I ask God right away to block out any images or nasty things I would say about the person and I decree every night the goodness of God. As of now I can only say blessings about the person, God has truly done a change in my heart. I love him for it too. I was selfish but now I love to give. Only because of GODS GRACE AND MERCY.

The reason why they praised God in this Psalm is because of the great works he has done for them. " The Lord has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations." (2) Also another reason is at the end of the Psalm. "Let them sing before the Lord, for he comes to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples with equity." (9) I will praise God not simply because of the fear of judgment but because of his grace and mercy as well. God's very own right hand and holy arm are being revealed and people are praising him. Our church loves to praise God. The Holy spirit is very welcomed and we create an atmosphere where God's throne is set up and he can come and be praised when he wants. Which is always so you get the point. I'm very sure there are alot of churches of the same way. As long as everyone has their own personal revival in their hearts, worshiping God will come easy. All I do is praise God. My husband and I lead worship at conferences for some big known people. Charlie Robinson, Todd Bentley, Sammy and Kristin Robinson, Jedidiah Tham.... Jeremy and Miranda Nelson etc... and throughout all those times, God has continually showed me that no matter who's there preaching or praising.. know that I am always and forever, God... Jesus we praise your name, we go up the mountain lord and rest in your dwelling place. We seek your face God and embrace all your goodness. Let the prayers of the lost be answered through us your people and give us the boldness to do the things you ask us to do, so that your children can come to your freely and open heartedly. Amen

One of the reasons why we should worship God is simply because he is a "GREAT GOD" "GREAT KING ABOVE ALL GODS". I will forever praise God simply because he IS GOD. Another reason why we should praise is because he is our shepherd. We have Family and friends on earth who do take care of us when we need it, but God IS the ultimate shoulder. The forever Kleenex box and strong tower in our lives. No Judgment and no condemnation. Our Flesh is unable to not do those things, so God being our shepherd above all others is another reason to praise him. As we worship God and enter in, we become more in tuned to the holy spirit and what God has to reveal to us. Corporately or individually. It is the best time for us to receive a warning or encouragement from God himself with our hearts opened and more ready to receive it. Gosh I LOVE you GOD.

this psalms teaches us to simply praise God with everything you have. With your heart, with instruments etc. We can praise God anytime of the day. No matter what is going on, good or bad, we are to praise him. Most of the time praise is with singing and playing music, praise can be shouting and dancing. Praise him loud or praise him quietly. Everyone that breaths who has air in their lungs should praise God The first time I read it I was sort of mumbling the words quietly, until I realized what I was declaring in the atmosphere. I re read the psalms with this time a more confident and joyful tone and loud as can be alone in my little appartment. You can feel right a way the change in the air when you are joining the angels and praising him.

Q3. Psalm 133
chillsey1 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 3. Psalms: Choosing the Path of Righteousness
Psalms 133:2 is the verse that stands out for me. Knowing that there is a complete pouring of perfumed oil pouring all over us when we unite. The effort behind the unity is to me a huge deal. I find sometimes when I want to tell my other friends from others churches about the things that I learn, there is this halt in my heart because I know they would not be opened to such things and sometimes one minded to what they have been brought up with. I have been to different types of churches in my life and different denominations. Take the good leave the bad that's all. Unity and purity conflict each other due to our own doctrines and how they are different to others. And simply because of this, people are not wanting to unite together. Purity comes from the heart, and when there is no purity there is no wanting to unite Reconciliation is extremely huge for the body of Christ. God doesn't want to see his people separate and alone. He wants to see families together in harmony, marriages reconciled, friendships united and churches united. -
Q2. Psalm 15
chillsey1 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 3. Psalms: Choosing the Path of Righteousness
With the understanding that I am unable to control absolutely everything of my sons lifestyle and characteristics, I do have a great deal of influence that I can show him in my lifestyle and I can only pray to God that he will develop his own unique God given lifestyle to serve God. My husband and I try our best at the moment to do that even though our son is only 13 months. But we have to start when they see all and hear all. Also we are accountable to our own characteristics and attitude and lifestyle when judgment day comes so for our own being and soul, its better to follow Gods wisdom and instructions 1. Obey God 2. Inner Integrity 3. Sense of Fairness 4. Love your enemies 5. Be not tolerant to evil 6. Keeping my word 7. Not loving money but using it for his kingdom -
Q1. Psalm 1
chillsey1 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 3. Psalms: Choosing the Path of Righteousness
We are continually reminded that "the righteous will succeed and the wicked will perish" because our souls have flesh that sometimes wants to do its own thing. and we always have to renew our mind and spirit so that we don't get desensitized of the world and its sins. As much of a loving God we have, there is much power we can never comprehend because of his awesomeness and majesty. He is a big God and we are humans in our borrowed world for just 1 night until the coming of Jesus. I would rather use the fruits of the spirit of the already-winning-team then the so-called-wannabees of the confused team. I really like verse 3. Which I sure most of you do too. Its just comforting knowing that God's supply of everything is like flowing water. never stops, never runs dry, always en mass(alot of), and water is the source for things to grow, plus you cannot go without water longer than 3 weeks or you will die. Sounds familiar when I do not have Jesus in my heart for that long. I spiritually and emotionally die. His flowing water has been my source for many times in my life where water had to be the only thing I took in. Chelsey -
There is nothing more warming than knowing that God loves you. He simply loves you. Just like a mother to a child. the child would then gain the confidence and faith to grow in life and know who he is simply based on the fact of his faith in his mother's love. No matter how far we stray he will always love you and just that brings faith up from inside of me and I gain confidence and control to do the things he has asked me to do. To see healing in people and restoration in families. Just knowing God loves me, my faith builds and gets more bold. I will not be afraid to step out any more and I will try my best to continue to have faith in the things that God asks. Even though I don't see the outcome or the way to do it, I will accomplish what I need to do, cause I have faith in God because I know that he loves me...praise God

David feels lost and forgotten. He is longing for a response from God or even a little touch of his presence. He feels so far away from God and is discouraged. But when he reminds himself through self-talk about the power of God especially in his past experiences, he knows that God will show up. He knows that God hears his cry and will come when he knows is the best time to come. David tells himself to place his hope in God and to praise him. Have I ever felt the longing for God and his presence? The panting of water for his touch? Everyday I long for him. For him to show his mercy and grace. Yet without me asking all the time he is always there for me. I see it through my husband, my son, my parents and siblings, and the wonderful people God placed in my life at a time like this. I will forever long more of you God, through trials and through joys. And if I do the math, There are actually more Trials in my life, but that means that in the morning, the Joy of the lord comes and bees my strength and overcomes all things through Christ. Thank you God for your constant faith in me and to have never let me go to the dogs.

To Dwell in the house of the Lord means to be walking in God's presence all the time. to know breath smell hear and touch everything of God. In the Webster dictionary the word Dwell means : to remain for some time, to stay as a resident. God says that we have access to his kingdom on earth. so we can go up into heaven, spend time with God and his kingdom which is what he wants us to do, then go back to earth with the wisdom from heaven for those who do not know him. To "SEEK HIS FACE" simply means to spend time with God. To have a relationship with him and to DWELL in his presence. The hope that David is offering us is the reassurance of God's unfailing love and faith for us. David knows from his past experiences that God will show up, so he is declaring these verses out loud to his heart and soul so that they all can embrace the truth about God. He is affirming his whole being that God will come through for him.

the Psalmist has just realized that God will always be there by his side no matter what he does or where he is. Then he turns his emotions into an actual awe of God. Saying that even before birth God knew him and was creating him from the inside out. The Psalmist turned from annoyance to amazement. And again because the psalmist was so caught up in Gods knowledge and power that he even thought of hating those who did not like God or even know God. PS. 139:19 But in conclusion of 139 the psalmist asks God to check every part of him and his intentions. To look in his heart and convict him of the wrongs. to check his thoughts and the words he says and to allow room for progress. He is basically giving God the green card in accountability of his actions, words and thoughts. I guess going to the master himself to be his accountable partner is the way to go. God bless David and his boldness...

Hey everyone, My name is Chelsey Johnston and I live in Montreal, Quebec (Canada). This is my first study online and I am quite enjoying the fact that my brain is being challenged both spiritually and emotionally. I am a stay at home mom and I am 25. Yes young but love every minute of my son who is growing more and more like his daddy. Judah just turned 1 last month and it brought memories of what I was doing with my life a year before he came into this earth. So I decided to take on a challenge and seriously open my unfortunate dusty bible. Support and courage is all I'm asking. And most of all Friends. Its good to be back in the game Chelsey

the common thread from verses 1-6 and verses 7-13 is that God remains and will forever remain majestic and glorious through sight (his creation) and through his word (the bible). The psalmist is saying, to what I understand, that there is no excuse in the world to deny God's power and existence when you look up at the sky, and then read the word that says the truth. The psalmist is basking by simply stating how radiant and sweet the message is. How its precious more than gold and is perfect. Its almost as if he is just sitting there talking in a trance about how amazing God is. and how he suddenly feels not worthy enough to go further, unless he discerns his sins and asks for forgiveness. I feel that way all the time. I'm not perfect, but I know that the glory of god is present and that I can be forgiven and live a life to serve and be his friend. As I have mentioned before, the psalmist is so caught up in the moment of God's attraction that he suddenly feels not worthy enough to go on without asking for forgiveness of his own sins, willful sins, great transgressions and errors. I believe the psalmist is asking God to renew his mind, soul and body so that his mouth can speak the words of his heart and that it is pleasing to God. That not only should he talk the talk but also live it out in his own heart and walk.

Q1. (Psalm 8). What does this psalm teach about God? What does it teach about human beings? What does it teach us about Christ? What does it teach about our responsibilities? Hi to everyone out there. First time doing a course like this, especially online, so lets all have fun about it. as per your questions Dr. Ralph: The psalmist, to my understanding, is joining the angels in heaven, declaring that God is MAJESTIC. That is name is above any other name in the earth. and that his Glory which is accessible to us remains in the heavens cause if we really understood the immense power of God's glory we would be dead in heaven...lol. The presence we feel on earth is only but a small portion of his whole glory manifested. The psalmist, again to my understanding, is stating a remarkable fact of how the children and infants have the power to praise God and silence the enemies. God see's faith and innocence, and when there is faith and innocence there is great immense power. We should learn from them through their child like faith and not over stuffy religion. We as adults have more time to figure things out in our head, where a child would have no questions and no fear and obey God instantly. Christ was brought onto this world to regain our innocence at the cross. God needed a sinless man who was holy and untouched to perform this act of sacrifice. What better person than his own son. What a true sacrifice, showing the love that God has for us. descending from heaven and being crowned with glory and honor, and then saying that we are made in his image, tells us how he sees us as well. Our Responsibility is to rule over the works of God's hands. To be sent out from nation to nation baptizing the people with the father son and the holy spirit preaching the good news of God. We have authority under the name Jesus Christ to heal, deliver, prophecy, raise the dead and deliver the gospel to everyone who is lost and seeking.
