Q3. Trivial Excuses
Seeking His Face replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 10. The Call to the Kingdom (Luke 14:12-24; 9:57-62)
Generally an excuse may say I really don't want to do that(disobedience). Wow! Lord forgive me for doing that. Jesus gave His life for me, Why can't I trust him to handle any situation that may be left undone by me following Him. You know no man knows the day or hour of His return, obedience without thought of results is the best thing to do, He is always faithful to His promises. Oh Lord I desire to be all you have called me to be, please forgive me for my unbelief. -
Q1. Talents

There is a specific way to enter the Kingdom. Only one way! through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, that would make it narrow. The gift Christ gives is open to all peoples which would make it large. At the beginning of our journey with the Lord after accepting Him as savior and Lord we appear small and defenseless like a new born babe, But as we grow in grace and knowledge of our Savior and we allow the Holy Spirit to take control we become strong and mighty in the Lord and can be used to bring glory and honor to our blessed Savior. The seed grows into a tree the feeds and nourishes others.

Because the way of entry is very specific, not just anyone can get in. Because they do not take His word seriously, and at the last minute they try to enter without a change of heart. People don't want to give up any of life's pleasures, but they don't necessarily want to miss the invitation just in case!

I believe it its figurative,we are to forgive others at the least as much as we have been forgiven. As long as we humbly repent of our sin and ask for forgiveness God will forgive us. That He is so merciful and understands my condition, not accepts it but understands it. Not to mention His great love for me and all people.

Q3. Born of Water and Spirit
Seeking His Face replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 6. The Spirit and the Kingdom (John 3:1-21)
When you accept Christ as your Savior and Lord. You must recognize your need for a Savior and repent of your sin and then the Holy Spirit comes and abide within you. Regenerating you into a new man(born anew). Also water means the Word. Because the Word says so. These things are a mystery to the natural man, and unless the Lord reveals that truth we have no way of understand. Light and darkness do not mix. I would call it "Acceptance and the Indwelling". -
Q1. Spiritual Kingdom
Seeking His Face replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 6. The Spirit and the Kingdom (John 3:1-21)
You must be born again (anew)to enter the Kingdom. Born of the water and the spirit. There must be a change. No, Nicodemus knew of the law not of the spirit. His was rules and regulations,You must do this and don't every do that or you would be eternally separated. He had a knowledge of God but not a heart change, there must be a change. -
He wants us to rely completely on Him. Jesus wants all of us. He want to control every area of our lives. I think we feel insecure at first, Its hard to realize that Christ is not like man. I think it could be considered as stuff, not just money. Possessions, status, reputations, nothing comes before God, especially not SELF! family, job, friends etc. We must fully depend on Him.
