I respond differently to situations if I realize as a child of God that today could be the day, today could be my last day on earth. Things that seemed so important are not anymore, Others become my concern. My Father's will for me takes 1st place. I realize in my humanness I forget, and revert to my old ways. But! as His child I can have the mind of Christ and He will keep me.

He uses Noah and the flood, as well as Sodom and Gomorrah, both situations came with put warning. They were all going alone living there life's and not noticing what was going on around them. We need to stay alert, watching and waiting for His return. we should live like today is our last day, and I'm sure we would behave differently. What's most important to us would come to the forefront. We must be cautious of the times, Does Jesus have 1st place?

Q1. Present Kingdom
Seeking His Face replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 4. The Present and Future Kingdom (Luke 17:20-37)
He was Given all power and authority by God, to do His will. The indwelling of the Holy Spirit of every believer. He makes His abode within us. -
Because we must pursue the kingdom, seek after it, long for it etc. Something we desire (want) we go after it. Not sure, maybe we loose confidence in our request, that God will grant it. We get distracted and off point and forget about, something that seemed so urgent last week is not as bad today? Boldness comes by believing who our Father is and all His promises to us. I think the word says if we ask and have doubts we will receive nothing.

Nothing should come before your relationship with God, not money ,family, job anything! God has 1st place. I believe it is figurative, and yes wealthy people do serve the Lord. It all depends on what you consider wealth? Matt 6:33 says seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and then all these things will be added .

Because evil can have no relationship with holy. I must recognize my sin and accept His forgivness. Sin can not come into the presence of God. Baptism is and outward acknowledgment of and inward change, cleansed and made new. I have died on immersion and raised up in Christ, He reigns in me now. Not to mention the Word tells us to do it. No because a unrepentant heart sees no need for a Savior.

Q2. Offensive Baptism
Seeking His Face replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 1. Preparing for the Kingdom (Matthew 3:1-17; 4:17)
Because they were decendants of Abraham, plus it was done in public. Also it would look like they were the same as the Gentiles (heathens) when the converted to Judaism. The Jewish people because John reminded them of Elijah. The Pharisees resisted, because they were from the line of Abraham. They thought they didn't need it. -
Lesson 12. Exercises
Seeking His Face replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 12. Psalms: Giving Thanks to Our Faithful God
Meditating on psalms 34. This study has been so wonderful. I had an opportunity to teach our adult Sunday school class, it was on 7 Hebrew words for praise. This study was very helpful. The Lord dwelt in the midst of us. -
Q4. Psalm 34
Seeking His Face replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 12. Psalms: Giving Thanks to Our Faithful God
The encouragement is that when you are brokenhearted the Lord is close to you. He paid my sin debt, so I might have eternal life. You can avoid condemnation by believing what the Father says about you, not what your carnal mind says. The Bible has all the directions we need to have a wonderful life, we just need to read it and apply it to this life we have been given by our Father. -
Q3. Psalm 34
Seeking His Face replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 12. Psalms: Giving Thanks to Our Faithful God
Ps 150:6 says let everything that has breath praise the Lord, It's a command, not a do it if you want to. Sin and disobedience hinder our ability to praise Him, we have to repent first that our ability to praise Him with our whole heart can be continual. I pray the word. Ps 19:14 May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight. -
Q2. Psalm 118
Seeking His Face replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 12. Psalms: Giving Thanks to Our Faithful God
Jesus is the living stone, sent by the Father so we could have a relationship with Him. His own people rejected Him,they didn't believe He was the Messiah. The people were asking for salvation(deliverance), the Father sent His Son and verse 27 represents Jesus sacrifice on the cross for the forgiveness of sins. His shed blood was the ultimate (final) sacrificial offering on the mercy seat. -

Q4. Psalm 51
Seeking His Face replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 11. Psalms: Finding Forgiveness and Restoration
By having a humble and repentant heart, who has changed . physically and emotional crushed, realizing our separation from God because of sin. Being sorry sometimes seems a little superficial or shallow, sorry because I got caught, not because I've offended my Savior. I think humility makes a broken or contrite heart realizing what I have done over and over again, realizing my dire need for a Savior. Left to my own devises I am forever lost. -

Q2. Psalm 51
Seeking His Face replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 11. Psalms: Finding Forgiveness and Restoration
No. He is saying because of my great love for God( profession of). Before I committed the act, even in the planning and thought of it I sinned against you my God. That I am by nature, have the tendency to, be selfish, self centered, sinful. All by myself i go astray, by my choice.
