Philemon, I am praying that the mutual participation that arises from your faith in Christ might become effective in leading you to understand and put into practice all the good that God wills for us and that is found in our community; and do all this for the sake of Christ." mutual participation. God gives many opportunities and in His economy both parties benefit and together they come into a loving relationship with God and each other.

Q4. Charge to Archippus
bower replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 8. Final Instructions and Greetings (4:2-18)
I think, as a representation he describes us all - wanting to please God but easily discouraged and distracted. I think that Paul is sensitive to this. -

Q2. Children and Fathers
bower replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 7. Christian Households (3:18-4:1)
Because it pleases the Lord. This is the part that really speaks to my spirit. We need to lean what surrendering our will is so that we can know our children are coming under the authority of God. This is why we must not discourage our children - their attitude will mark how they are going to feel about God their Father. -

Q4. The Value of Christian Virtues
bower replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 6. Guidelines for Holy Living (3:1-17)
Love God and love one another inspires all the virtues; they reflect the love and grace. They reveal that we love Christ, they show Christ to the world through the church. They give us a chance to love our neighbour and members of our family. -
Q3. Sins of the Tongue
bower replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 6. Guidelines for Holy Living (3:1-17)
My tongue lies every day. Even when someone says How are you? or I ask without sincerity. Only God can give us the power to bridle this - It is an awful sin as the margin of white lie to outright lie is so flexible. We can only pray and watch with vigilance. -
Q2. Sexual Temptation
bower replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 6. Guidelines for Holy Living (3:1-17)
I think that today cars, appearance, clothes are all about making one look sexy. I think that that the subliminal messages touch men more. The are triggerred constantly. I think by seeking the deeper level before God the sexual desire can be controlled. -
