  1. Because the battle is the Lord's I don't need to stress about the outcome. He has it all in His capable hands & I know the war has already been won.
  2. King of Glory....nothing can be more glorious. Nothing can compare. Father of glory....He is the beginning of glory. All glory comes through him. Bright. Shining. Pure. Blinding. Lord, blind me with your glory so that I see nothing else.....all else grows dim when I look at your glory & grace.
  3. High & lofty One. Inhabiting eternity. Oh so far beyond my comprehension. I am reminded just how small I am, how insignificant. Yet, because of His great love, I am lifted up. My God's a big God, yet small enough to fit within my heart. All praise & glory belong to Him!
  4. For me, being "in Christ" means that I participate in the life of the creator of the world. I am sheltered by His love. It is my relationship with Him that gives me life and strength and purpose.
  5. Hi! I'm Jennie from Indianapolis. I'm teaching Ephesians in Sunday School right now, so am very excited about having additional input.
  6. Hello, God bless my friend!!

  7. Job believed he would see his redeemer, with his own eyes, a vision of hope/ Earlier writers believed in a shadow place of no hope.
  8. Jesus' enemies knew the prophecies of the Messiah, much more than the disciples. They knew that Jesus' resurrection would change everything they held near and dear. Jesus' enemies thougth that the disciples would come and steal Christ's body in order to proclaim him as Messiah. His enemies did not believe Jesus was the Messiah, so they couldn't fathom that he might actually rise from the dead. I don't think his followers could think beyond their present life with him. They couldn't believe that Jesus would die, much less be raised from the dead. They didn't really believe it until they saw it...and then they believed.
  9. True, abundant life will not come until we are raised to be with Christ eternally. Jesus give us the opportunity to be ever-living and always alive. If we do not choose to have Jesus as our Lord, our resurrection is to ever-dying, never dead.
  10. For the righteous, resurrection means life. We will be present with the Lord of Lords. How much more alive can you get?
  11. The Jews saw Sheol as a shadowland...a place of despair and gloom. Job realized that no matter what happened in his lifetime, he would see God with his own eyes. He would see Him and live, rather than be cast down. His beilef in the resurrection was filled with hope. Progressive revelation is truth that is revealed as we grow in faith. As time went by, the Jews learned more and more about the Lord.
