The way that failing to drive out the Canaanites correspond to compromising with sin in our lives is that we have to constantly be driving out the sin. Some of our sins are very stubborn and they don’t want to move out, so we need to pray to God to help to move them out. The consequence of this compromise is that we will still fall back in to that sin. So in order to end the compromise we must kick them out.
