Q4. Scripture is God-Breathed
Old Jerry replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #3. The Living Word of Scripture (2 Peter 1:12-21)
Scripture is God -
A person can be speaking and God be speaking too because God is using that persons Spirit to do his speaking. Our pastor speaks and God is speaking through him. The image of a ship being moved by the wind helps me understand this because it is the wind that is blowing the sails and moving the ship but is the rudder that is that guides the ship.

Q1. The Tent of this Body
Old Jerry replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #3. The Living Word of Scripture (2 Peter 1:12-21)
I think that the reason that our culture avoids talking about death is because they may not fully believe in the resurrection. The only thing that concerns me is how I am going to die not that I am going to die and go to that glorious place and be with God the Father. I look forward to that. I think that describing the earthly body as a -

I think that the virtue so far that has been easiest for me to move on to is perseverance. It has been my character to persevere in areas that I have an interest in. God has but the interest of Him in me so I can persevere in following Him. I think that hardest virtue for me to move on with is that of self-control. I like to have somebody out there to help provide motivation for the things that I do.

Q4. A Healthy Willingness to Die
Old Jerry replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #9. Suffering According to God's Will (4:12-19)
A willingness to die, if need be, is essential to healthy Christianity during persecution because we are showing the world that there is something more powerful the leaders of this world. Our belief is so strong that they can -
The danger of trying to avoid persecution and suffering for Christ is that we will be entering in sin because we will be following those who are sinning. I have been distracted by persecution from what I should have been doing when God calls me to go on a mission trip and I think that it is too dangerous. I have observed this in other Christians when I ask them to go on mission trips.
