Q4. Refining Faith
Old Jerry replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #1 Rejoicing in Our Salvation (1 Pet 1:1-12)
I can remember instances in which God used difficult circumstances to refine and purify my faith. God has made it so that I can depend on him more and look to him for answers. The way that this tested faith brings glory to Jesus is that we will tell others what He has done for us. -

Q1. Homeland
Old Jerry replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #1 Rejoicing in Our Salvation (1 Pet 1:1-12)
I would describe the behavior of a Christian who identifies more with his present homeland than his heaven as one that is trapped in this world. He needs to look to his everlasting life and not his present temporary live. I have caught myself doing this and the more that I study the bible the more I can see that I need to get my spiritual priorities straight. -

Q1. Moses' Prayer of Frustration
Old Jerry replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 8. Rebellion against Moses
I think that Moses is so frustrated in his prayer because he had heard these people complaining for days and there was nothing that he could do about it. The people were grinding him down and so he was spent emotionally and physically at this point. Moses probably didn -
I think that the arrangement of the furniture, the tabernacle, and the courtyard teaches us that we need to all that we can to reach the Holy of Holies. We should confess our sin to God and worship Him. Since the curtain of the Holy of Holies had been torn in half when Jesus was crucified, we not have access to it through Jesus. We come to the bronze altar and the laver or basin before we reach the tent itself so we can confess our sins and God to forgive them. Only Jesus can was our sins away and that was when he shed his blood for us.

I think that the camp of the Israelites was laid out this way so that they would keep God in the center of things that was going on. This layout taught the Israelites that they should always keep God in the center of their lives. The Levites and priests were clamped closest to the tabernacle because they were the keepers.

Q2. Royal Priests
Old Jerry replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 5. The Covenant at Mt. Sinai (Exodus 19-24)
The priests in the Old Testament were to be the between of God and the people. They were the ones that carried out the rituals that are laid out in the Old Testament. I am a priest in the way that my spiritual gifts allow me to. I am
