Q1. Treasured Possession
Old Jerry replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 5. The Covenant at Mt. Sinai (Exodus 19-24)
From an emotional standpoint, when I take out and look over one of my treasured possessions it can be a source of pride. The idea of -
God provided manna for the people because he was sustaining them until they reached the promise land. The manna finally ceased because they came to the promise land and they were able to eat the food of the land. The people gradually began to take manna for granted because it was always there. The provisions of God that I take for granted are the freedoms that I have here in the United States especially the one of freedom of religion.

The way that grumbling against a leader maybe a symptom of grumbling against the Lord is if the leader is following what the Lord is commanding him to do then they are grumbling against the Lord. There are cases where this might not be true and that is if the leader is not doing what the Lord has told him to do. The reason that the leaders tend to take complaints so personally is they think that they are implementing their plan and not God

Q3. Blaming the Leader
Old Jerry replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 3. Passover and Crossing the Red Sea (Exodus 12-15)
The people blame Moses for the advancing Egyptian army because they think that he is the one that led them out of Egypt. The thing that motivated their fear is that of the oncoming army. But since Moses was only doing what God had told him to do, the people are really blaming God. Moses responds to their blame and fear by encouraging them and telling them that God is going to do the fighting for them. I think the reason that Moses didn -
Q1. Christ Our Passover Lamb
Old Jerry replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 3. Passover and Crossing the Red Sea (Exodus 12-15)
The sense that Christ is our Passover Lamb is that he died for our sins. It was the blood of Jesus that marks as his if we accept it. On the judgment day God -

Q3. Deserted
Old Jerry replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 13. I Have Fought the Good Fight (2 Timothy 4:6-22)
I think that it is so difficult when trusted friends desert us because we miss their companionship. They were always there when we need them. The same thing is true when they move away or die. We have to move on life and find new friends. We need to trust others so we can discuss our problems with them. It is just best that if we get to know them and sometimes that takes quite a while. The one that remained with Paul besides Luke was the Lord. -

Q1. The Good Fight
Old Jerry replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 13. I Have Fought the Good Fight (2 Timothy 4:6-22)
The meaning of having -
I think the reason that Paul has resorted to the command in verses 1 and 2 was to let Timothy know that it is Jesus is the one that is going to be judging him and not the people that he is teaching. Therefore he can teach them the truth and not fear their judgment. He was telling us that we should always be in God

Q2. Equipping
Old Jerry replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 12. Preachers, Teachers, and Holy Scripture (2 Timothy 3:14-4:5)
The way that Scripture equip Christians for ministry is that it teaches the real truth. If everyone would follow the Scriptures in everyday life this world would be a much better place to live in. The Proverbs have so much wisdom in them that if we would take this wisdom and put it into practice we would be much better human beings. The different ways that Scriptures can function is by teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness. -
Q1. Inspiration
