  1. Q3. (2 Timothy 1:8-10) Paul is writing to encourage timid Timothy. How is Paul's focus on Christ and the gospel designed to encourage Timothy? How is this an antidote for shame?

According to verse 12, what is the antidote for cowardice and shame? How then do we combat the cowardice and shame we might recognize in ourselves?

  14. ... Once satan succeed in laying a guilt trip on a believer, that believer has put himself in satan's hand - just like Job. God did not put Job in satan's hand; job did, through his negative confessions. I think I disagree with the poster. Yes, Job had some "negative confessions," but "negative confessions" aren't the point of the story of Job. Job was a righteous man. God used Job as an example of a righteous man, even though he allowed Satan to attack him. I think that's the point. That and that we don't always know why God is allowing things.
