There is only one typr of righteousness and thats personal. It is out of a personal relationship with our Father in Heaven. Hezekiah was appealing as a child would his father. Daddy you know I only do what is pleasing to you Yes son then daddy take this from me your faithful child. All sin and unrighteousness will hinder prayer, but Daddy is not looking for our prayer, He will even forgive our sin and correct our unrighteosness. What he is looking for is a pure heart that loves him and seeks him. Jesus said if you love me you will keep my commandments. Love not Law.

Witout true recognition of oru allmighty father it is not possible to give him all glory, praise and adoration. Look to the hills from whence our help cometh. Our prayers must be directed to the one true God, and this recognition refocuses the prayer towards him who is able to answer his prayers. It also appeals to the nature of God as we acknowledge hi in all his fullness. Our Intimate knowledge of him revealed through our appeals

As we had seen in other studies Moses had appealed to our fathers nature regarding how it would look if he destroyed his people, this time it was in the hands of the enemy. Out of the book Of Job we can see that our enemy has no power over us except that the father gives it. We can all agree that the battle is the Lords, but Ephesians tells us that we are in the battle too. So we must seek the Lord with all our Hearts for if God before us who can be against us. The offence was against our God ,The focus was agaist Hezekiah;the victory will be combind.

Our father who art in heaven Hallowed be thy name. the song Oh Lord my God, When I in awesome wonder, consider all the the things thy hands have made. I see the stars,I hear the roaring thunder; thy power throughout the universe displayed. Then sings my soul my saviour God to thee , How great thou art.

Prayer is not just about giving a wish list. Acknowledgement of Our Father for Who he is and what he has done reveals our gratitude and reliance. Our praise will bless Him when it is given out of a grateful heart and not a duty or a format. Too often i hear formatted prayer and feel that God cannot be please with them. In the old testament the insence of burning flesh was pleasing to the Lord and now it is when our hearts are on fire and burn with passion for him. Absolutely sold out and in love we can worship him, praise him and bless as our word flow from our hearts.

Godly sorrow worketh repentance. There is a connection with God as we allow our selves to be broken before God. He resisteth the proud and gives grace to the humble,If we who are called by his name will humble our selves and pray ,repent and turn from our wicked ways he will heal our land. Many times I have had to combat pride in order to break into a truley contrite heart. Pride would say things like come on you big cry baby you are just feeling sorry for yourself. Yet when overcome a freshness and renewal occured in my heart.

Q3. A Pure Heart
stsandy replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 4. David's Prayer for Pardon and Confession of Sin (Psalm 51)
blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God. Yes we can have a pure heart. Create in me a clean heart. God is the only one who can clean the heart of a man. He that searches the heart knows what is the mind of the spirit The Holy spirit has a very real part in the regeneration of our hearts,he convicts of sin and our part is to repent. We also are told to protect our hearts for it is the well spring of life. Rejoice in the Lord always and be careful for nothing, but put everything in prayer and supplication and the peace of God will keep your hearts and mind. -
No ritual or formula or program will ever be able to deliver or release us from our sin.The 1st cammand is to love God with all our heart, strength and understanding. This is a total and absolute requirement to be in relationship with him. So faith is not in letter or word ,Our Confidence is in the nature and character of God who does not lie and will do what he say's he will. It can only be by the power of his Holy Spirit who leads us into all truth and convicts us of our sin, that we will hear the word of God and receive the faith we need. Even faith is a gift from his love toward us and is developed out of an intimate relationship with him.

Q4. Persistence
stsandy replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 3. Abraham's Prayer for Sodom (Genesis 18:16-33)
Abrahan continued to enquire with God how far he was willing to go. And even as he was answered continued to seek more for the answer he wanted which would give Lot his salvation. I was having much difficulty dealing with some character weakness with my new wife who was also a new Christian at the time. I was daily and constantly before God pleading for him to reveal to her the need to change some of those bad habits . Funny thing was He instructed me to place a mirror in my prayer room. As I did this he them showed me as I looked at myself, that I was the one who needed to change. I repented and was absolutely humbled in my prayertime that day. As I walked inside to my wife Who was waiting for the fight (verbal),all I could do was seek her forgiveness and confess my Faults. This absolutley flawed her not being accustomed to this behavior from her previous partners, she was humbled knowing that the problem was her fault and was changed from then on. -
Q3. Pleasing Boldness
stsandy replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 3. Abraham's Prayer for Sodom (Genesis 18:16-33)
Abraham was bold not only in his request but in his questioning of God. So God just how far will you go? No man can see God Face to face and live yet here we see Abraham having a face to face with God. His continued life ,the salvation of lot and the fulfilled promises of God are signs of God's approval, so the anwer is a great big yes. -
Q2. Humility and Boldness
stsandy replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 3. Abraham's Prayer for Sodom (Genesis 18:16-33)
From dust we came and dust we will become again. We exist because he has called it to be so, and by his voice we will become as dust again. One has to have absolute reverence for Him, whose voice commands life and death. From this prospective we then are much more able to acknowledge the Grace that God has given us that we are able to approach him at all. God resists the proud, so humility is essential for an intersessor. (anyone who stands in the gap in prayer ) Seek 1st the Kingdom of God and his Righteousness -
Q1. Contending for Righteousness
stsandy replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 3. Abraham's Prayer for Sodom (Genesis 18:16-33)
This is a very special moment as few people have stood face to facewith God and lived,so here we are able to witness a very special relationship. Abraham was absolutely aware of God's righteousness. Not from stories or scrolls but out of his interaction with him. In this conversation we see God reveal his righteousness and his love for all things righteous. We also see an aproachable God who is Willing to consider the request of the righteous Abraham. We also see mercy and grace towards Lot and family.
