  1. The bible tells us in Revelation 5 that John is weeping because no man was found worthy to open the scroll. One of the elders told him to not weep because there is one who is worthy to open the scroll with the seven seals. The four beasts and the twenty-four elders fell down before the lamb with their harps and golden vials of odors of the prayers of the saints and they sang a new song saying "Thou are worthy to take the book and to open the seals" for thou wast slain and has redeemed us to God by the blood out of every kindred, and tongue and people and nation. The worthy one the elders are speaking of is Jesus, the Lamb of God who was slain and who overcame the world and is worthy indeed to open the scroll and start the process that reclaims this earth from Satan who stole it from Adam because of sin. Praise the name of Jesus.
  2. Glory to the throne of God in the center of the rainbow, Praise the music of Holy, Holy, Holy, Praise to the Lord of Host and give glory, honor and Thanks to Him, we fall down before Him cast down our crowns and worship his holy name, He is worthy to receive our praise, Praise you Father you alone have created all things, Praise the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, Praise the lamb of God, Thank you Father God for the harps, the golden vials of incense, worthy is the lamb to receive power, riches, wisdom, strength and honor, and glory and blessings for Him.
  3. I have enjoyed reading all the songs listed under this question. There are two that come to my mind: Holy, Holy, Holy from Revelation 4:8 and one of my favorite praise songs from my church. It is almost word for word from the bible, and it is: Thou art worthy, O Lord to receive glory and honor and power, for thou hast created, hast all things created, thou has created all things and for thy pleasure thou hast created all things from Revelation 4:11.
  4. The churches were criticized for abandoning the love they had once had. They were to repent and get back into the word of God. For their involvement in idoltry. For blasphemy of those who said they were Jews and were not. For a Jezebel spirit. For eating food that had been sacrificed to idols. The churches were praised for overcoming obstacles. The churches were warned that if they should lose their light bearing quality, the church will be removed from the community. The church was criticized for immortality, adultry and lukewarmness. The 21st century church should exist to serve God .... not man.
  5. Revelation 3:16 So then, because thou art lukewarm and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee out of my mouth. If we put God first in our lives. If we look to him for guidance and give him our devotion, I don't believe that spiritual apathy would exist in the church. This is the problem we don't put God first and when we attend church we are going for different reasons than just to honor our Lord. There are so many things one can focus on at church: social activities, meeting friends, church dinners, committee meetings, etc. These things are not bad but if they come before God..this is not where we should be. I believe everyone is guilty of this. We should consider why we attend church. I have never attended a church were everyone put God first. This question has made me think deeply about my own worship at my church.
  6. Heathern religious practices. false teachings, and idioltry are the dangers about which the bible warns us. God says put no gods before me. This must be taken seriously. God in his wisdom knows how easily we can be deceived by Satan's charms. There are so many heathern religions in our country today. It seems they are everywhere. Friends can be involved in the new age and encourage us to come in with them and get us involved. We must not open this door.
  7. This question made me think of a recent email I received. The writer of the email mention a popular new movie with homosexual content. The writer said that Christians should refuse to attend this movie. This is a call for the vast number of people in our country who call themselves Christians to stand together against immorality. Christians could make an impact on morality in this country. We should stand together against what we know to be unchristian. We have many opportunities to take a stand for Jesus. There may be a cost. But many have paid a price before us. We shouldn't take our Christian freedom for granted.
  8. A congregation can lose its first love for Jesus by being more interested in worldly things than spiritual ones. We can show genuine love for Jesus in our prayers, praise and worship. The lack of love for Jesus shows up as our focus moves from Him to distractions, such as social activities in the church. To regain our love for Him: Deut. 6:5 Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.
  9. John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life. No man cometh unto the Father but by me. The church is to look to Jesus because he is the only way to the father. This teaches us Jesus is our example. He is the light of the world.
  10. Jesus walked the earth as we do. Jesus overcame the world. Emotions are evoked of glory, honor, and awe. Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God Almighty who was and is and is to come.
  11. Q3. In what countries are Christians presently experiencing tribulation or persecution for the faith? How can the Book of Revelation be a comfort and encouragement to them? There are many countries where Christians are experiencing tribultion or persecution for their faith ....but Israel, China and Moslim countries come to mind. The Book of Revelation can be a comfort to those who have suffered persecution for being Christians ..they can be at peace because they made the right choice when they chose to follow Jesus. He is coming soon.
  12. Q2. What does this tell us about the Father? The Father is the speaker here in 1:8 and in 21:6. But Jesus is the speaker in 1:17 and 22:12-13. What is the significance of this for our understanding of who Jesus is? When Jesus is speaking in the bible, God is speaking. They are one.
  13. Q1 Persecution can be mental and emotional as well as physical. Through daily walking with the Lord and our testimony and witness of Him, we can develop strength and courage to become overcomers of the persecutions of this world. Think of Peter when faced with the fear of admitting he was a follower of Jesus...he was afraid of the persecution..and he couldn't witness for Jesus...then shortly he was able to overcome his fear and face persecution and death for his Lord... Jesus is our example. He overcame the world and we look to Him for guidance and strength.
