To what degree do we partake with the adulterous and sinful generation that Jesus decried? What does the marriage relationship say about love, communication, and intimacy with Christ? We need to live holy lives dedicated to only Him. Often we go about pursuing the things if this world that become idols to us just as the world does. I however want Him to be my center and focus in everthing. Q. If you had to prove to another person that Christ is the center of your life, what evidence would you muster? A. I seek Hill in everything possible and obey His Word as much as I can. I however sometimes fail but get up and go again. Q. What evidence would contradict this? A. In the areas I sometimes fail like anger, resentment and selfish moments as sated above that I sometimes slip but get up and move on. Q. What kind of repentance is necessary to reprioritize your life? A. Asking God to forgive and give me the grace to completely turn arround in the areas of my weakneses.
  14. Q2. (John 6:51; 15:1-5) What do Jesus' teachings on the Living Bread and the True Vine teach us about drawing from his life? What happens to our vital Life when we rely on ourselves, and stop relying on him? Why is it so hard for us humans to learn the lesson of dependence and trust? Jesus is the Living Bread (His Word) that we need to nourish our souls. Obedience to His Word leads to salvation. Likewise, we need to abide in Him ie. continue to trust in and depend on Him for sustenance of our souls. Thus if we rely on our selves or on any other source, we will starve to spiritual death. Because we are Adamic in nature and thus prodigal sons that wrongly believe we can get sustenance elsewhere.
  15. Q1. (John 1:9; 8:12) In what sense is Jesus the True Light? In what sense is he the Light of the World? In what sense are you the light of the world (Matthew 5:14)? Why do you think people resist Jesus' light, his truth, his view of the Father, our world, and eternal life? How does the world's so-called "light" differ from Jesus' light? What can obstruct Jesus' light in this world? What can obstruct our light? He is the True Light because He is light, the giver of light and the one through whom we are translated to the kingdom of light. Only through Him can the world experience true light that leads to salvation. We are the children if light because the Light Jesus Christ shine through us. People who reject the Light are those whose work are dark and they fo nit want the light to expose it. What can obstruct the light of Jesus from us is our attitude and failure to avail ourselves to the Source of life.

Jesus is the Great Physician even in our world full of grief due to sickeness and affuiction. Only when we turn to Him shall we be healled spurtually and physically.
  17. Q3. (John 14:6; 10:7, 9) In light of all the world's religions, how can Jesus be the Way to God, the exclusive door or gateway? Why does this offend the world? Since it is true, how can we most winsomely declare this truth to our generation? Jesus is the only Way to God as there is no salvation in any other but in Him. This offends some other religions because they believe (wrongly) that their region can save them. We need to prayerfully seek the wisdom and boldness to explain to such people and allow the Holy Spirit to convict them.
  18. Q2. (1 Peter 2:4-8) In what way are these rock images of Christ attractive to our world? In what way do they repel people? Why? 19. Q1. (Colossians 1:18) How should the assertion that Jesus is the "head of the body, the church" affect the way we conceive of the church? Is he talking about the universal Church or a local congregation, or both? If we believe that Jesus is the head of the church, how should that affect the way we conduct our life and ministry as the church? In what ways does the visible church represent the "head"? How well do we, as the body, follow his leadership? We should see the church with reverence submission that it a blend with the Lord as as the head and part of the union. A. shepherding as Christ did and still do
  21. Q3. (Mark 10:43-45) Q. How does Jesus serve (like Boaz) as a Kinsman-Redeemer to us? A. Boaz rescued/ delivered Naomi and Ruth and met their needs as a kinsman redeemer. Likewise, and even more so, Jesus met our needs for eternal life by becoming our Saviour who died for us as a Ransom for our sin. Q. What does the idea of needing a ransom imply about our condition? A. Animal sacrifice could not atone our sin permanently, we needed a permanent sacrifice and found it in Jesus Christ our redeemer. Q. What was the redemption-price that the Father paid for us? A. The betrayal, suffering and agonising death on the cross of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ for our redemption..
  22. Q2. Q. How are we disciples to assist in Jesus' mission to seek and to save the lost? A. Jesus gave us the Great Commission to go and preach the Gospel. We thus have the responsibility to preach the Gospel to members of families, neighbourhood, places of our work/ businesses and even to go to the uttermost part of the earth. We can do so particularly by our conduct among unsaved who would see our light and be drawn to us Q. What is the love-balance between seeking to save our friends and having to back off because they feel we are trying to pressure them? A. I think we should continue to love those we are preaching to without giving up but by praying for them when they resist us. I think we should not actually back off. In my experience, I get discouraged and back off when there is resistance to what I am preaching. This is rather due to my own selfish ego of feeling rejected.
  23. Q1. (Luke 19:10; Matthew 11:19) Jesus came to seek and to save the lost. What does it mean to you personally that Jesus is the Friend of Sinners? How should it affect your relationships with people who are deep in sin? A. Because Jesus is a friend of siners, I personally am one who by grace was saved and delivered by my Friend the Lord Jesus Christ from sin and its penalty of spiritual death A. Just like Jesus loved me and died for me, I should love singers and lead them to Christ.
  24. Q4. (Philippians 2:7-8) Q. How are we to follow Jesus' example as the Servant? A. Through/ by obedience and humility to the Master Q. Why is humility difficult? A. We are naturally proud due to the Adamic nature in us. Q. Why is obedience hard? A. Because our Adamic nature is rebellious Q. Where are you struggling right now to be humble and obedient? A. In quite a number of areas especially talking about others in their absence
  25. Q3. (1 Corinthians 11:23-26) Q. What is the purpose of the Lord's Supper? A. To remind us of the sacrifice our Lord made on the cross by shedding His blood for remission of our sin Q. Why should we partake often? A. To keep the memory of this sacrifice always fresh in our minds as we are a forgetful lot. Q. Why is it so easy to forget what Jesus has done for us on the cross? A. The human mind is forgetful. Besides, we get too busy with our lives, (work and other worldly pursuits) that we forget the divine important things of God
