wE CAN REJOICE IN THE MIDST OF DIFFICULTY, WHEN gOD IS IN CONTROL, BECAUSE hE GIVES US HIS wORD THAT hE WILL NEVER LEAVE US, AND IF WE TRUST IN hIM WITH ALL OF OUR HEART , THEN hE WILL GIVE US HIS LEADING AND DIRECTION, AS WE SUBMIT TO hIS WILL. iN ORDER TO REJOICE IN THE MIDST OF PROBLEMS, WE MUST BELIEVE THAT NO MATTER THE TESTING OR TRIALS, hE WILL NOT ALLOW THEM TO OVECCOME US, BUT WILL MAKE A WAY FOR US TO BEAR IT, FOR hE SAID hE WOULD BE OUR STRENGHT IN THE MIDST OF OUR WEAKNESS. tHE BASIS OF THIS BELIEF IS THAT gOD IS NOT A MAN THAT hE SHOULD LIE, AND hIS wORD hE PLACES ABOVE hIS VERY NAME.

Q1. Repitition
shalom98@rogers.com replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 2. Remembering and Proclaiming His Death
When repeated often does the Lord's supper run the risk of being mundane? 1. This indeed could happen if the procedure just becomes a daily practice at the local church without the pastor going into detail with his people the step by step details of the ordiance, so that it becomes a personal matter with the parishioner, so they can fully see how much it cost for their salvation. 2 Why did Jesus command it's repetition? Jesus willingly gave up his life on the cross, because He knew it was the Father's will and way the fellowhip he wants with His creation would never be lost again. He knew that this was not a mere sacrifice to COVER SIN, but a once and for all COVENANT to seal the relationship once for ever, and furthermore, no more need for animal blood :(a temporary thing) , but through Jesus, the redemption of man would be complete, and no condemnation would ever be on His people again, as Jesus paid the full price for our redemption. ''this had to be repeated for all the generations to come into the world, that there is a mighty God in heaven who gave the ultimate sacrifice, that one day we would all be gathered around the throne of God, a family that would rejoice for all eternity with the king of kings and lord of lords. Glory be to God...........Carl. -
Why does Paul ask God to give the philippians christians discernment? How does selfishness cloud discernment? 1. Paul, I believe, was very pleased with the spiritual climate of the Phillipian christians and I think that his work among them was not in vain, and that this body of believers were in the will of God. I believe he was zealous for them that they continue on the path that he has set out for them, and not to be distracted by the world's standards or any other distract;ions . 2 Selfishness will cloud discernment, becsause there is always that opportunity to turn back to the old fleshly ways and try to satisfy the desires of the flesh and place them above the word of God.

1. Why does christianity insist on a physical birth, physicial suffering, and a ressurrection of a physical body? 2. How would it be different if Christ didn't offer himself in this physical way? I believe that if Jesus Christ went to the cross in the form of God only, then he would not be able to identify with physical suffering of mankind to suffer in the flesh and know the pain involved. "He likewise took part of the same that through death, He might destroy him that hathe the power of death, that is the devil , who held man in bondage to death". The physical suffering demonstrated that He felt all the pain that man could know. Jesus , by His resurrection, gave us confidence that this physical life is not the end of all, but assured us that the Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, would also quicken our mortal bodies to a new life. If Christ didn't offer himself in a physical way, then I believe we would not have seen it as a sacrifical death and idenification with those who would follow Him, simply because He would be dying in a spiritual sense only.

Why is your witness for Christ more acceptable when you are going through some personal struggles as a christian ? I believe our witness is more acceptable to others, but it establishes that when we took a stand for Christ and proclaimed him as Lord of our lives, and then continued during our struggles to Stand on God's Word, it demonstrates that the love of God in us is real and not some mere religious activity , but a real desire to live and reflect Christ in our lives.

The action words that point out the and give relevance to the Lords' suppeer are those indicated BY the forum of being, POURED OUT, BROKEN, FORGIVE THEM. tRULY EXPRESS THE CLIMATIC OUTCOME OF ALL THAT GOD DID FOR HIS CREATION. , WITH THE FINAL WORDS , "FATHER, FORGIVE THEM, FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO".

Q2. Extreme Symbolism
shalom98@rogers.com replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 1. My Body, My Blood -- Literal or Figurative?
hOW CAN A SYMBOLIC INTERPREATIION HAVE LITTLE RESPECT FOR THE lOR'S SUPPEER? The doctrine of the Lord's supper is fixed to the work of redemption completed at Calvary. lWithout the shedding of blood and the brokenness of the body, there would have been no hope for us . For one not to understand the significance of the LOrd's supper, is not to really come to an intimacy of the love of God, that would bring about such a great ordeal, as to that which Christ layed down his his life. In the b00k of acts, we understand that it was the will of the Father before the foundation of the world that Jesus would be the LAMB to restore the lost relationship that Adam and eve gave up in the garden in direct defiance of the command of the Lord. The true significance is lost if we partake of the Lord's supper by going through the motions in a religious way, with no realization how much it cost of precious saviour , who WILLINGLY layed down His life that we indeed would eternally live with Him as joint heirs to enjoy all that God has prepared for them who love Him. -
Q1. Intimacy

'what is the basic idea of a slave/ what is the root idea of a saint In what way are both saying the same thing about our relationship with God? 1 The common understanding of slave is one who really is in bondage to another with very little choices in the matter, but to do as he is instructed. 2. A saint is one who has willingly come to Christ because he knows the privilege of becoming a child of the living God with all the promises of this life and the life to come , and looks forward to that special time when he will see the LOrd FACE TO FACE. 3. Even though we prefer the word, SAINT, we are love slaves to the Lord to perform His will , knowing that it is a high calling of God to serve Him with a clean and obedient heart, knowing that one day , we will hear those words, "well done thou good and faithful servant".

Q1. Intimacy
shalom98@rogers.com replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 1. My Body, My Blood -- Literal or Figurative?
My particular understanding of how the how the bread and blood helps me to draw closer when partarking in the Lord's supper, is that I realize the full significance that Christ has to be broken and come into obedience to the Father's will, because until we too can be spiritual broken, we really cannot be in full submission to what God wants to do. Also the blood offering had to be made , without which a purging and cleansing of the old adamic nature would not be erased to allow an ongoing purification and cleansing of the old self, thus causing us to contend with our old nature, thus causing us to battle with our old selves on a daily basis.
