  1. God want us to tell the truth. There are times when people will be hurt if the truth is told. What do we do? So I will say, "If at all possible tell the truth."
  2. Excess of anything is not good. We want to be sober in mind. We want to honor God in all we do.
  3. Saul really sent David to battle to get him killed. Jealous will cause one to do crazy things. When we think we are hurting someone, God use it for our good. David was a great leader. God was with David. He was not killed in battle and they loved and respected him as a leader. When God is with and for us is more than the world against us. Praise God everybody. God is good.
  4. Q3. (1 Samuel 1:13) What is the significance of Samuel anointing David? What is the significance of the Holy Spirit coming upon David? How does this explain his success? How is the Holy Spirit upon us vital for our own success as disciples? Samuel anointing David is an outer showing that God is setting him apart for a specific purpose. The Holy Spirit will enable David for the job. His success comes only through being obedient to God. The Holy Spirit helps us by leading , guiding and teaching us in all truths. He is our Helper. God the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.

  9. Posted 26 July 2012 - 08:16 AM Q1. (1 Samuel 15:22-23). What is rebellion? In what way is rebellion as bad as witchcraft or occult practices? What does rebellion have to do with arrogance? What can we do when we find rebellion against God in our hearts? What happens if we do nothing? Rebellion is doing it my way instead of what God has said. Rebellion is very serious, it is liken to witchcraft or occult practices. I see these as the work of the enemy. When we find rebellion against God in our heart we need to ask for forgiveness. God looks at the heart. When we are forgiven, God remembers it no more. If we do nothing it is counted against us. God said, "If you love me you will obey me."
  10. We should be like Paul, stand up for the truth. They seem to be going backward. They knew they were saved by their faith in God thru Jesus Christ and not works. Sometime we need to be reminded of what we already know.
  11. Paul source is from the only true God, just as His word is true. It was revealed and he was chosen to preach Jesus. Jesus....the truth and the light. This is not man made but from God. When we tell others about Jesus let it be according to the scripture and not our opinion.
  12. Q2. (2 Corinthians 1:9-10) How does facing a harrowing crisis help us grow in the Lord? How has a crisis helped your spiritual life? What is the value of learning not to rely on ourselves? What does this do to our pride? How does this improve our effectiveness as God’s servants Facing a harrowing crisis help us to realize just how much we need the Lord. There are times when we are depending on our own strength. With God all things are possible. It has helped my spiritual growth by teaching me to depend on God from where all my help comes. Pride before the fall...so just throw pride out the window. When we humble ourselves God can use us as His servant especially when telling others about the Good News.
  13. Q1. (2 Corinthians 1:3-7) What kind of comfort do you receive from your faith in God? From your personal daily relationship with God? How might you share the blessing of this kind of comfort with a friend or relative who is currently suffering? What words of comfort can you bring to others? I have comfort that God is in control and all is working for my good. It has cause my faith in God to develop and grow. When a person is suffering I can tell them how God has never left nor forsaken me. Even tho our situations may even get worse God is still with us. A word of comfort: Remember that God is always with us. It is always to help mature us too have a closer relationship with him.
