  1. Q4. (Ephesians 1:5-6) Why is adoption a particularly apt illustration of God's relationship with us? Why is the concept of adoption encouraging to us? One is adopted as a child by parents that want to love and care for a child. So adoption shows unconditional love. this is so incourafng to us to know we are loved by Our Father Who Art in Heaven to adopt us as sons and daughters in His family.
  2. (Ephesians 1:4) What does it mean to be "holy"? In what sense can you stand "blameless" before God? I am only holy because Jesus says so, and only blameless because of the Blood of Christ. Not by by own merit or my works am I found holy and blameless before the Lord. For it was Jesus Christ who died on the Cross to shed His Blood to make me holy and blameless before God the Father
  3. Q2. (Ephesians 1:4-5) What is scary about predestination? What is comforting? Why does Paul bring up predestination? Why do you think he praising God for it in the "hearing" of the Ephesians? I see nothing in this to be scared of as I had the freedom of choice to follow or not follow until it got to painfull and forced to serender. It is a comfort to know that God has forgive my past, present, and future short comminings. Prasing for the knowledge of forgiven sins.
  4. Q2. (Ephesians 1:4-5) What is scary about predestination? What is comforting? Why does Paul bring up predestination? Why do you think he praising God for it in the "hearing" of the Ephesians? The only thing that I can think of as being scary about predestination is that God knows my ever move, thougt and actions so He knows my short commings. Its conforting to know that mypast failures and sins have already been forgiven. I believe that Paul was also speaking to us to day also and letting people know that God loved us before we were born and wanted to save us prior to our birth. Praising God for his Love for us.
  5. Q1. (Ephesians 1:3) What does it mean to you to be "in Christ" -- incorporated into Christ? What are the implications of this for your life? I always thought of Christ in me and not me in Christ. Christ has the power and not me so now if I incorporate myself into Christ then Christ can work through me. This brings more meaning to me of myself I am nothing, but Christ can do all things through me. This implys I can't, He can, and He will if I let Him
