  1. Q4. (1 Thessalonians 1:10) What does verse 10 teach us about the Christian faith? Verse 10 teaches us everything about the Christian faith. It teaches us that Jesus is the son of God, He came into this world to redeem mankind. He died on the cross (He bored our sin, our transgress, our iniquity) He rose from the grave after 3 days and 3 nights. He finished his work and seated at the right hand of the father. He is coming back for all those who believe and the one who do not believe will face his judgment. Which of these elements are most important? and which are less important? They all are all important, but as Paul said, the gospel hinge on the resurrection. If Christ did not get out of the grave, then all will be in vain. There is no less important. They all are very important to the salvation of mankind and the punishment of sin. For this is the very reason Jesus came to earth to redeem us from sin. Which are under emphasized in the church today? Christ wrath on sin. Mankind is getting careless in their walk. I know God's grace is what we all will need in order to make it into heaven. But we hear little in the church today about God's wrath on sin. Sin will be punish.
  2. Q3. (1 Thessalonians 1:5b-6a) How important is imitation in the formation of a new Christian's spiritual life? Imitation in the formation of a new Christian's life is very important. New believers need to see others live for Christ, so that they can walk in the newness of life. Like a baby need his/her parents to grow and develop, a new Christian also need mature believers to be an example for them that they may grow and become effective in their walk. We as a people not only learn by studying books we also learn by watching others. What kinds of Ministry are most conductive to imitation? There are many ministry conductive to imitation such as: Ministry of evangelism, helping hand ministry, attending bible study, attending sunday school, singing on the praise and worship team, Praying and interceding, visiting the sick, and attending worship service, Why is the character of the mentor or leader so important to the health of the church? The reason character of the mentor or leader so important to the health of the church is because mentor and leader shall not want to cause anyone to fall or hinder the church from growing. They are there representing Christ and introducing Christ to others. They want to be true in their christian walk. Just like we as parent do not want to do any and everything before our children, because we want they to grown up and be men and women of good character. The same with the church, we want our character to reflect our profession. So mentor or leader should always remind themselves that their character is very important to the health of the church. well people grow in Christ who is not a part of a Christian community? People who are not a part of the Christian community have a harder time growing and being steadfast in their walk. We need other to help us if we are going to grow in maturity. In what ways are your character important to your family and children? My character is important to my family and children because I am representing Christ and witnessing for Christ. I want them to see Christ in me. I do not want them to not want to be apart of the Christian family by what i say or do. Christ has call us to a high calling in Him, and I want the best for my family and children. It is up to me to let my light shine that they may see Christ in me and glorify Him and they will become witness and example for others.
  3. Q2. (1 Thessalonians 1:4-5) Why is the Holy Spirit's working so necessary to effective ministry? What happens when the main power behind our ministry is will-power? What is the role of miracles in Paul's evangelism? What would happen if we saw miracles in evangelism in our day? What is hindering this? The Holy Spirit is necessary to effective ministry because we can do nothing on our own. The Holy Spirit teaches us, lead and guide us, help us in so many ways. He know exactly what to do to reach the unsaved, to build up the saints and to keep us strong and moving in the things of God. When the main power behind our ministry is will-power than we are really relying on the wrong power. It is good to have will-power, but will-power without the Holy Spirit may lead to pride and unbelieving. We must rely on the power of the Holy Spirit so we can remain humble and be effective in the things of God. No ministry should be operate on will-power along. We need will-power to accept what God has call us to do, We need the strength of the Holy Spirit if we are going to be effective. Even Jesus did not operate in His own strength He operate in the power of the Holy spirit. Jesus tells the Pharisees, in verses 31 and 32 of Matthew 12, that they have committed the Unpardonable sin by blaspheming the Holy Spirit. Because they said that the spirit that is working through Him delivering people is not the Holy Spirit but a demonic Spirit Mark 3:30 gives up more specific information by saying, because they said that Jesus had an unclean spirit. They attributed His good works while He was personally there in the flesh to an unholy Spirit. The role of miracles in Paul's evangelism is to let the people know he is operating under the power of the Holy Spirit, and so they may believe on Christ. If we see miracles in our evangelism today, we will have a great revival, and many would believe on Christ. We are being hinder by lack of faith, and dependence on the Holy Spirit.
  4. Q1. (Acts 17:1-10) Why do you think there was strong oppositon to Paul's ministry in Thessalonica? The strong opposition in Thessalonica Paul faced was because of his teaching and preaching Jesus and that Jesus is the Christ. At this time many Jews and non- Jews did not want to believed that Jesus is the Christ, so they consider Paul's preaching and teaching false. Envy rose from the ones who didnot believed, when they seen many believed Paul's teaching about Christ. Why do you think Paul keeps preaching the gospel, even though there is often a violent reaction against him? Paul kept preaching the gospel because of his experience and relationship with Christ. Paul when he was a Pharisee and persecuting the church, he believe what he was doing was right, but when he had that experience with Christ he received the truth and he know that Christ is the hope for humanity. Paul knew that There was no other way for mankind to lived, He knew the law could not save mankind only Christ and sharing Christ was worth the persecuting so that many will experience Christ's Salvation. Paul knew what the people was going through, he once rejected Christ and persecuted others who was teaching Christ. So now that he know the truth of Christ He is just as passion. He never wanted no one to be without God, and when he knew Christ was the only way they could have a relationship with God then it was worth the suffering and the violence he endured. Paul knew He had life after this life. He knew he had a charge to keep, and he was not going to let no one stop him from teaching and preaching Christ. Paul know that to live in Christ is gain and if he loses his life for Christ's sake that he still gain. Does a violent reaction to our ministry necessarily mean we should stop? No, we should never let no one stop us from being a witness for Christ. We have to love the Lord with all our heart, mind and soul and Love others as ourselves. Remember We are working for God and helping carry out His redemptive plan. So like Paul, if we loses our life we still gain. Just trust God and know He is not going to put no more on us than we can bear.

  6. Q2. (Luke 17:22-24) What do Jesus words about lightning teach us about the nature of the coming of his Kingdom? Jesus words about lightning teaches us that the nature of the coming kingdom is going to be powerful and majesty. Lightning is very bright, powerful and destructive. When Christ return every eye is going to see him and every knee is going to Bow. For many judgment, but for those who have believe him praise. The glory of God's kingdom will be reveal as Christ usher the kingdom in.
  7. Q3. (1 Samuel 17:47) Why do we so often forget that “the battle is the Lord’s”? What does that phrase actually mean? How can we avoid the arrogance of pulling God into our battles (“God is on my side”), rather than engaging in His battles (“I am on God’s side”)? We often forget that the battle is the Lord's, when we step out of faith and trusting in Him. We do not have enough faith to know that God have already given us the victory. Like saul and the men of Israel, allowed their perception of goliath to put fear in them. When we are allowing on our own strength we have took on our own battle. Jesus said, in this world we are going to have trials, but be of good cheer for He had overcome the world. When we donot know that God has given us the victory, we tend to take on solving or handling our problems on our own strength. When this happen, we have forgotten the battle is the Lord's. What does that phrase actually mean? How can we avoid the arrogance of pulling God into our battles (“God is on my side”), rather than engaging in His battles (“I am on God’s side”)? We can avoid the arrogance of pulling God into our battles when we stop stepping out of the will of God. We are Children of God and we must obey Him. Because we live in this flesh body, we tend to chase after our wants. we feel because God is on my side i can do what I want, behave like i want and have what i want. Most of the time this kind of thinking put us in trouble and we want God to come to our aid. When it comes to engaging in God's battles, it is more spiritual then fleshly so we put more value of the fleshly thing then the spiritual. We do not know how to deny ourselves, we judge other wrongly instead of helping others, and we do not intercede or pray for others as we should. We have to stop be self-center and become Christ Center and know because we are Christ disciples we have enter a war. Satan come to kill steal and destroy and if we are going to engaged in God's battle we must spread the Good News. Lifes is at stake. This is not our home. We are in God's Army, on God's Side fighting for souls.
  8. There has always been opposition toward the Kingdom of Heaven. Many lives has been lost and persecution has been very forceful. The Lord God told the serpent, I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. Gen 3:15 (KJV). Satan opposed the work of God, and he will do everything he can to stop God plan. God had made it possible for us to enter His Kingdom, but because of satan and his mission, he tries to stop mankind for entering in. It is up to us to withstand and press into the Kingdom. We must realize we have a real enemy. One who opposes everything of God. He is doing all he can to make the Kingdom of God void. We must be like the men and women of old and realize we have no life without Christ and if we loose our lives for Christ sake it still is gain. Christ said in this world we will have persecution, but be of good cheer for He has overcome the world. In spite of trouble the men and women of old faced they stood and continue to spread the Gospel.
  9. Q1. (Matthew 13:20-21) Why, according to Jesus teaching here, do some people fall away so quickly? What is their problem? Some people fall away quickly because their failure to grow in the spiritual things of God. Many get save, and excited, but they fail to prepared themselves in the word of God. Jesus is more than emotion salvation, He is the living word. Our salvation is built on the word of God,which is Jesus. Once one receive salvation, one must study to show thyself approval righlty dividing the word of truth. Even faith comes by the hearing of the word, and one must put the word to action in one's live. When anyone do not have on the whole armor of God the enemy will come in to kill, steal and destroy. If one is a babe in Christ one tends to be vulnerable to the enemy, and have not learn to walk in the spirit of God. Some people fail to count the cost and deny themselves, one must be sold out for Christ if one is going to stand and If one is going to stand through the storms of life, one must trust in the Lord with all their hearts and lean not to their own understanding, but acknowledge the Lord in all their ways. Because so many fail to trust in the Lord, they loose the battle. The help has been given to all, but one must spend time with Jesus to know Him and what He has to offer. So many have lose hope because they have not exercise their faith on the things that are spiritual.
