  1. 11 A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. 12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. There are many thoughts on this subject. From time to time, I enjoy listening and reading the books of Joyce Meyer Ministry. The Lord has taught me many good things from her ministry that is in the Word. I prefer in my church a male minister though. I don't think she has a church per say that people come to. She does a lot of travel, etc. I think this has to be up to each individual on what the Lord leads them to do. Times has changed since the beginning of the First Church. Back in those days women were treated differently. The laws followed then where also different. At that time Paul said, "he did not permit a woman to teach or have authority over a man. Precious Name Jesus.

  3. For some reason, I feel that many of them were still babes in Christ. Still need training in the Word. The more mature ones may not have been as matured as they thought they were, as they would have known not to bring confusion in the mist. As babes in Christ we need to grow and we do make mistakes. God does hear our prayers and guide us in to more maturity. The Holy Spirit will guide us into more maturity to do the things God would have us to do. Precious Name Jesus
  4. The whole main reason that Jesus came to earth and died and rose again is for all mankind to come to trust and believe in Him and be saved.
  5. I am so thankful and refreshed from reading the scriptures for today. The notes given throughout about the scriptures is so helpful to think upon. Praise the Lord for teachers that God has sent to enlighten us in the Word. Jesus came to save everyone that would believe and put their trust in Him. He is our mediator and God is our Father. I have read many of the comments and find that I could almost duplicate some of what has been said. I really appreciate reading the different views. Precious Name Jesus.
  6. I am pretty much in agreement of what the others are saying. It seems like we have some pretty good students in this class. Amen... Thanks for such good opinions.
  7. Q1. (1 Timothy 1:3-7) What were some of the results of false doctrine in the church at Ephesus? How does doctrinal controversy hurt the spirit of a church? How does it prevent growth? How does it keep the church from its mission? False doctrine confuses members of the church to the point that they are unable to serve the purpose God has for them to do. It creates arguments, division and separation of unity of the body of Christ. It destroys the spirit in that there is too much contention among the members. Many become dissatified and leave. There is no unity to work toward the real mission the church is suppose to do. BettyJo
  8. False doctrine is misleading to oneself and their Christian friends in the church. It breaks down the fellowship and can actually destroy relationships in families and friends. It create breaks down of the fellowship and Christian relationship of growing in the faith. Timothy was faced with Jews who were trying to mix the law with grace.
  9. I have signed up for the I and II Timothy Class. Just love studying the scriptures. I live in St. Louis. MO. Praise the Lord!
