1) Because Jesus Christ has personal knowledge of what will happen and He wants us to know and learn what to do and to live by His example. 2) He was persecuted and died for our sins. By rising from the dead, He showed us what is possible for us. If we believe in Him and what His death meant for humanity, then we can rise from the dead as well. 3) When someone is being persecuted, it strengthens their faith. To live in a culture where there is no persecution, people tend to take things for granted and aren't as faithful as they should be.
