I think a good example would be say like the legal team in a class action suit. Or the Father in a family decides what the rest of the family is going to do.

In order for us to be able to face God, we have to be holy, sanctified. Jesus paid the price in order for us to be able to face God as we once did (as adam and eve) before the fall.

No matter how "good" we are we can never ever be good enough for God. So to say that Christ died for those who were righteous, isn't a possibility. We can never be righteous enough. When Christ walked the earth he sought out the sinners, hung out with those that society found detestable. He died FOR THEM. And when we think that we are better than anyone, we are not acting Christ-like at all.

There are already so many good answers I am not sure i can add anything that hasn't already been covered. So I will just put what my very first thought was when I first read the question, it is bound to repeat someone else...... when we suffer we come close to understanding what Christ went through. And when we have that understanding, be it ever so feeble, we can hope to become like him. If we never suffer we can never know. We learn through experience not through illustration. And then in turn we can be like The Rock when it comes to helping others who find themselves in similar situations.

God spoke and Abraham believed. He wasn't justified AFTER the fact, he wasn't justified once he took that "step of faith", it was while the command was still ringing in his ears. Abraham BELIEVED, and he was justified.
