Q1. The Tent of this Body
Julie replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #3. The Living Word of Scripture (2 Peter 1:12-21)
For some they are unsure of what happens to them after death, they would rather not think about it. Our bodies are a tent where our soul resides until one day our souls put aside our body and we are eternally free Peter is stressing that he is departing going away, not that we will never see or hear him again. -
Q3. Loving Deeply
Julie replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #2. Add to your Faith Goodness (2 Peter 1:5-11)
I have never imagined agape love being easier then loving church members and now that I have meditated on it I still can not imagine this. If we avoid church because of hurts and do not forgive these church members and we do not seek other Christians we will not mature fully for we will not be united, joined together in the faith and knowledge. -
Q2. A Disciplined Devotional Life
Julie replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #2. Add to your Faith Goodness (2 Peter 1:5-11)
Why is a disciplined devotional life important, It keeps me in touch with the Lord. What happens when I forget or no time, I begin to drift away. What Christian disciplines do I employ, Studing the Bible through Pastor Wilsons Studys, prayer, and talking with my husband about the word. -
Q1. Christian Virtues in Your Life
Julie replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #2. Add to your Faith Goodness (2 Peter 1:5-11)
Knowledge on how to live the Christian life has been the easiest, all others I fall short on. For inside I am very pleased to please God, but sometimes I lose control become angry, impatience, not good, I could say it is just human nature but is it for the Holy Spirit lives in us and it is our choice to act this way. I need to be more in control this is something I need to work on, No this is something I need to pray about. -
1. Strong desires erode our faith when they take us away from God. 2. Seeking to know the Lord can and will build your faith. 3. When you have a strong desire for God you will seek to know Him through the Bible, and gain knowledge of Him. 4. For Example. You shall have no god before me, God promises prosperity for the righteous, but when that prosperity comes one may find Himself over time becoming proud and saying I instead of the Lord and forget the Lord whom gave him the ability in the first place. 5. God is faithful in keeping His promises when we trust in Him we will not be let down, and our faith grows. But when we trust in our own desires without trusting in God we corrupt ourselves in other words we will not not be delivered from the wickedness of the world.

Q3. His Own Glory and Goodness
Julie replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #1. Great and Precious Promises (2 Peter 1:1-4)
To all three I answer not worthy, not worthy to be called, not worthy to be in His presence, not worthy of His goodness. We do not choose Him, He chooses us, and I think why me, but God's ways are not our ways, His thoughts are not our thoughts, and I know that I am so thankful that he has chosen me, for I would not want to be in this world without the Lord. For God's glory I rejoice and give praise. For God is all excellent, perfect, divine, I am being transformed into his Likeness through the Holy Spirit that lives inside me, for I have been given the Holy Spirit whom teaches us, brings us to remembrance, convicts us, guides us, speaks to us, intercedes for us, among others things. We have been given the Holy spirit to live a pure life, to be good, decent, modest, restrained and to live a simple life to love one another and to depend on no one but the lord. -
Q2. Everything We Need
Julie replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #1. Great and Precious Promises (2 Peter 1:1-4)
It is limited and extended to those who know the Lord. This knowledge is found in the Bible, God's Word, as we study the Bible we begin to have a relationship with Him, we begin to know Him, and through knowing the Lord we are given everything we need for life and godliness. See Timothy 4 7-8 -
Q1. Equal Faith
Julie replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #1. Great and Precious Promises (2 Peter 1:1-4)
Everyone's faith is equal with same value, likeness. We have the same faith as St. Peter, but may find we do not use it appropriatly. We may not depend on the Lord for every action we take as St. Peter did, and our faith is not as mature, for this reason. So the more you depend on the Lord, the stronger your faith, and the more righteousness you become. -

We need to be aware of satan's existence in order to resist him, this verse is telling us that satan is here and constantly looking for ways to get us to go against God, if we are not aware that satan is doing this, then we will open ourselves and let him satan help us to rebel against God.

We should cast all our fears to the Lord, we do this for he cares for us, it is done through prayer, everyday we are faced with anxiety, worries and everyday we should trust in God who will take care of us and we should not worry for he will sustain us.

Elders-oversee the flocks well being. Pastor-sheperd cares for the flock and their needs and assumes spiritual responsibility for them. To bring me to God, to be reconciled, to have access to Our Father, to be purified from sin, and have peace with God, this is awesome, and I do admit I do not feel worthy of it, but this is what Our Father wants and why He sent Christ to suffer and die for us, in order that we can be in His presence. -
