  1. The scriptures guide show me the way in this world which is dark without the light of Jesus.
  2. For some they are unsure of what happens to them after death, they would rather not think about it. Our bodies are a tent where our soul resides until one day our souls put aside our body and we are eternally free Peter is stressing that he is departing going away, not that we will never see or hear him again.
  3. For our actions, our conduct says alot about our character which is evidence of our spiritual condition. For the fruitless believer, remember Our Heavenly Father will not leave us barren, He will lift us up (taketh us away), and place us where we will be fruitfull.
  4. I have never imagined agape love being easier then loving church members and now that I have meditated on it I still can not imagine this. If we avoid church because of hurts and do not forgive these church members and we do not seek other Christians we will not mature fully for we will not be united, joined together in the faith and knowledge.
  5. Why is a disciplined devotional life important, It keeps me in touch with the Lord. What happens when I forget or no time, I begin to drift away. What Christian disciplines do I employ, Studing the Bible through Pastor Wilsons Studys, prayer, and talking with my husband about the word.
  6. Knowledge on how to live the Christian life has been the easiest, all others I fall short on. For inside I am very pleased to please God, but sometimes I lose control become angry, impatience, not good, I could say it is just human nature but is it for the Holy Spirit lives in us and it is our choice to act this way. I need to be more in control this is something I need to work on, No this is something I need to pray about.
  7. 1. Strong desires erode our faith when they take us away from God. 2. Seeking to know the Lord can and will build your faith. 3. When you have a strong desire for God you will seek to know Him through the Bible, and gain knowledge of Him. 4. For Example. You shall have no god before me, God promises prosperity for the righteous, but when that prosperity comes one may find Himself over time becoming proud and saying I instead of the Lord and forget the Lord whom gave him the ability in the first place. 5. God is faithful in keeping His promises when we trust in Him we will not be let down, and our faith grows. But when we trust in our own desires without trusting in God we corrupt ourselves in other words we will not not be delivered from the wickedness of the world.
  8. To all three I answer not worthy, not worthy to be called, not worthy to be in His presence, not worthy of His goodness. We do not choose Him, He chooses us, and I think why me, but God's ways are not our ways, His thoughts are not our thoughts, and I know that I am so thankful that he has chosen me, for I would not want to be in this world without the Lord. For God's glory I rejoice and give praise. For God is all excellent, perfect, divine, I am being transformed into his Likeness through the Holy Spirit that lives inside me, for I have been given the Holy Spirit whom teaches us, brings us to remembrance, convicts us, guides us, speaks to us, intercedes for us, among others things. We have been given the Holy spirit to live a pure life, to be good, decent, modest, restrained and to live a simple life to love one another and to depend on no one but the lord.
  9. It is limited and extended to those who know the Lord. This knowledge is found in the Bible, God's Word, as we study the Bible we begin to have a relationship with Him, we begin to know Him, and through knowing the Lord we are given everything we need for life and godliness. See Timothy 4 7-8
  10. Everyone's faith is equal with same value, likeness. We have the same faith as St. Peter, but may find we do not use it appropriatly. We may not depend on the Lord for every action we take as St. Peter did, and our faith is not as mature, for this reason. So the more you depend on the Lord, the stronger your faith, and the more righteousness you become.
  11. Hi, I'm Julie from Mount Orab, Ohio Looking forward to studying with you.
  12. We need to be aware of satan's existence in order to resist him, this verse is telling us that satan is here and constantly looking for ways to get us to go against God, if we are not aware that satan is doing this, then we will open ourselves and let him satan help us to rebel against God.
  13. We should cast all our fears to the Lord, we do this for he cares for us, it is done through prayer, everyday we are faced with anxiety, worries and everyday we should trust in God who will take care of us and we should not worry for he will sustain us.
  14. Elders-oversee the flocks well being. Pastor-sheperd cares for the flock and their needs and assumes spiritual responsibility for them. Overseer- takes care of and accepts responsibility for their care. They all have a huge responsibility of taking care of the flock and accepting spiritual responsibility for them, this, accepting responsibility, I did not know this really stood out.
  15. For it shows your dedication to the Lord. When we commit ourselves we set ourselves apart for a purpose, Gods purpose, Gods will.
  16. They would not see Jesus in us. We when presecuted should rejoice for others have seen Christ in us, this should give us joy.
  17. That of one of joy to be experiencing suffering with Christ.
  18. In trying to avoid persecution and suffering others will not see Jesus in you and you will not fully mature spiritually for you will not let your faith be tested and strenghened and come to know your heart.
  19. Their immature, they are either insecure in the relationship with God or they are letting their ego get in the way. The gift of serving. By praising the Lord.
  20. Nonchristians as well as Christians do not like the idea of giving account for their actions, for we are afraid we will receive just punishment. This realization should make us want to live our lives according to God's standards. We should live with an attitude of Love and Forgiveness.
  21. Nonchristians like to get us to be like them. We are tempted for it is easier to follow mans ways. We can resist temptation by staying alert spiritually.
  22. Yes, I have pledged my faith and promised to serve. When I was baptized I was immersed-buried with Christ, and resurrected-brought up out of the water, to live a new life.
  23. To bring me to God, to be reconciled, to have access to Our Father, to be purified from sin, and have peace with God, this is awesome, and I do admit I do not feel worthy of it, but this is what Our Father wants and why He sent Christ to suffer and die for us, in order that we can be in His presence.
  24. 1. Because of fear 2. For it is easier to go along. 3. Focus on Christ, be ready, reply with gentleness, keep a clear conscience, I find all our needed
  25. 1. Harmonious 2. Sympathetic, full of blessing. 3. Try to be sympathetic and full of blessings.
