Shepherds were outcasts, poor, lonely and I believe in most cases humble people. They traveled around a good bit, so the message of the Messiah's birth would spread. He would have learned how people work and live. How to deal with people. He probably would have experienced people's emothion from good to bad, happy to sad.

Mary's response was "I am your servant, let your will be done." Her response was complete faith in the Lord. Mary was raised in a God loving home. Her upbringing provided a background for her beliefs. When we follow the Lord, we do so in obedience and faith.

The virgin birth proves Jesus was divine and human without blemish. The virgin birth is the 1st miracle of Christianity. It connects the triumvirate, God, Jesus and the Hoy Spirit as one.
