  1. Q2. What inherent rights does a Potter, Creator, or Maker have over what he has created? How should that effect our lives, our self-image, our sense of purpose? The creator has all rights over what He created. He owes it and without him the creation would not be. Our lives should be for the one whom created us ...we should see ourselves as the one that created us see us...He sees us as good...and our purpose is for whatever our creator wants it to be but the one thing we need to focus on is that we were created for a reason and a purpose by one who loves us.
  2. Q1. (Isaiah 45:9-12) Why is it ridiculous for a pot to second-guess the Potter? How do we Christians do this? What is a better attitude and behavior before our Creator? Isa 45:9 "Woe to him who strives with him who formed him, a pot among earthen pots! Does the clay say to him who forms it, 'What are you making?' or 'Your work has no handles'? Isa 45:10 Woe to him who says to a father, 'What are you begetting?' or to a woman, 'With what are you in labor?'" Isa 45:11 Thus says the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and the one who formed him: "Ask me of things to come; will you command me concerning my children and the work of my hands? Isa 45:12 I made the earth and created man on it; it was my hands that stretched out the heavens, and I commanded all their host. For the created thing to question the creator of it is silly. The pot has no brain...has no emotions..has no idea of what life is. We as Christians at time feel we know more that our own Creator does. We feel that what we what or feel is the best for us. What we need to do is Worship and Praise and Honour our Creator at all times. We need to thank him for ever situation and the very air we breath. We need to learn from everything that God lets us walk through with faith that the Lord knows what is best for us.
  3. Q4. (1 Samuel 17:26, 36; Hebrews 10:31) How do you think David's understanding of the Living God enabled him to challenge Goliath? Read Hebrews 10:31 in context. Why should the Living God inspire fear and dread? 1Sa 17:26 And David said to the men who stood by him, "What shall be done for the man who kills this Philistine and takes away the reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine, that he should defy the armies of the living God?" 1Sa 17:36 Your servant has struck down both lions and bears, and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be like one of them, for he has defied the armies of the living God." Heb 10:31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God. David knows that the Living God is beside him while Goliath relies on idols for his strength. We serve an actual living God. Not some man made idea of a God. This God will at the end judge us and we have the opportunity to spend all eternity with this living God. We need to have respectful fear based on this. This is the God we serve...the King eternal...the only God. To Him we should be certain to give all our Honour, Glory and Praise. Verse 1: Unto the King Eternal Unto the Lord Immortal Unto the God Invisible You alone are wise Chorus: All Glory and Honor Forever to You, Oh God All Glory and Honor Forever to You, my King Eternal To You my King Eternal To You my King Eternal Bridge: You alone are wise You alone are my King Eternal You alone are wise You alone are my King Eternal
  4. Q3. (Isaiah 44:6; Revelation 1:8) What does the idea of "first" and "last" tell you about God? How does Revelation 1:8 relate to God's revelation to Moses, "I AM THAT I AM"? Isa 44:6 Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: "I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god. Rev 1:8 "I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God, "who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty." The idea of "the first and the last" to me show that God will be and has been eternal. He has no beginning and He will have no end. The two go hand in hand as God is saying both that He is and always will be forever
  5. Q4. (Exodus 24:8; Matthew 26:27-28) What is the function of the
  6. Q2. (Isaiah 57:15) What do you think it is like to "inhabit eternity"? What will it be like when you inhabit eternity with the Eternal God, seated with Christ Jesus in heavenly places? What emotions does this inspire in you? Isa 57:15 For thus says the One who is high and lifted up, who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, and also with him who is of a contrite and lowly spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly, and to revive the heart of the contrite. When I was younger I will admit that this idea scared me. I had no understanding how this could be possible. I know can thing about this in a different way. With the Lord time itself will not be needed...we will not be with the constraints of time which was created for us here on earth with our mortal bodies. I can imagine all the questions and answers that I will seek out. To be actually allowed in the presence of the Lord and to inhabit the same place... It is hard to describe the emotions this brings. I will admit fear is one of them. Not a scared fear but fear of just not knowing what to expect. Then there is complete and total awe to praise the Lord seeing Him and joy and right now there is sadness that some will not be joining me there. font] With all Creation I sing Praise to the King of Kings You are my every thing a and I will adore You
  7. Q1. (Exodus 3:1-15) What does God's name Yahweh reveal about his person and his power? How would an understanding of Yahweh's name contrast him with the idols worshipped by the Egyptians? Exo 3:1 Now Moses was keeping the flock of his father-in-law, Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led his flock to the west side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. Exo 3:2 And the angel of the LORD appeared to him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush. He looked, and behold, the bush was burning, yet it was not consumed. Exo 3:3 And Moses said, "I will turn aside to see this great sight, why the bush is not burned." Exo 3:4 When the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called to him out of the bush, "Moses, Moses!" And he said, "Here I am." Exo 3:5 Then he said, "Do not come near; take your sandals off your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground." Exo 3:6 And he said, "I am the God of your father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob." And Moses hid his face, for he was afraid to look at God. Exo 3:7 Then the LORD said, "I have surely seen the affliction of my people who are in Egypt and have heard their cry because of their taskmasters. I know their sufferings, Exo 3:8 and I have come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land to a good and broad land, a land flowing with milk and honey, to the place of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. Exo 3:9 And now, behold, the cry of the people of Israel has come to me, and I have also seen the oppression with which the Egyptians oppress them. Exo 3:10 Come, I will send you to Pharaoh that you may bring my people, the children of Israel, out of Egypt." Exo 3:11 But Moses said to God, "Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the children of Israel out of Egypt?" Exo 3:12 He said, "But I will be with you, and this shall be the sign for you, that I have sent you: when you have brought the people out of Egypt, you shall serve God on this mountain." Exo 3:13 Then Moses said to God, "If I come to the people of Israel and say to them, 'The God of your fathers has sent me to you,' and they ask me, 'What is his name?' what shall I say to them?" Exo 3:14 God said to Moses, "I AM WHO I AM." And he said, "Say this to the people of Israel, 'I AM has sent me to you.'" Exo 3:15 God also said to Moses, "Say this to the people of Israel, 'The LORD, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.' This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations. God is revealing Who He is. This signifies the real being of God, his self-existence, and that he is the Being of beings; as also it denotes his eternity and immutability, and his constancy and faithfulness in fulfilling his promises, for it includes all time, past, present, and to come; and the sense is, not only I am what I am at present, but I am what I have been, and I am what I shall be, and shall be what I am. God is revealing He is self sufficient. The Egyptians have many Gods to look after different things while I AM is the creator of all things. He is everything

  9. Q5. How should the knowledge that the battle is the Lord's affect the way we approach life? In what way do both timidity and brashness get it wrong? Are there any instances in which the Lord will not fight our battles? Before even attempting to answer this question I just wanted to say that I was very blessed with this study. I have been going through some battles and letting them wear me down but just thinking on God as my Mighty Warrior has once again filled me with the strength to continue the battle and remember that the Lord is my guide and mentor and Warrior and will be with me through out it all...Thank You Jesus We should approach life with a spirit of being winners and without fear. At times both timidity and brashness may enter and both are wrong...we do not need to be timid or fearful and on the other hand being to bold and self-serving is also the wrong approach. It is not us that is in charge but the Lord ...we need to follow His lead with faith and trust. There are times that the Lord will not fight our battles...for one thing if they are not in line with his Word...if they are battles where evil or Satan is dwelling don't expect help from the Lord and I also believe at times the Lord lets us fail for our own good but where we are in a spiritual battle the Lord will always be there for us
  10. Q4. (Exodus 17:9-16) In what sense was Moses' rod like a signal pole in this battle? In what sense is the LORD our banner in the battles we face? Exo 17:9 So Moses said to Joshua, "Choose for us men, and go out and fight with Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on the top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand." Exo 17:10 So Joshua did as Moses told him, and fought with Amalek, while Moses, Aaron, and Hur went up to the top of the hill. Exo 17:11 Whenever Moses held up his hand, Israel prevailed, and whenever he lowered his hand, Amalek prevailed. Exo 17:12 But Moses' hands grew weary, so they took a stone and put it under him, and he sat on it, while Aaron and Hur held up his hands, one on one side, and the other on the other side. So his hands were steady until the going down of the sun. Exo 17:13 And Joshua overwhelmed Amalek and his people with the sword. Exo 17:14 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Write this as a memorial in a book and recite it in the ears of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven." Exo 17:15 And Moses built an altar and called the name of it, The LORD Is My Banner, Exo 17:16 saying, "A hand upon the throne of the LORD! The LORD will have war with Amalek from generation to generation." The faith that the people had required that Moses hold up his rod to show that they had the LORD as their leader in this battle. It was a reminder of who exactly they were committed to. They were going to battle with the LORD as their commander. With Him in control they would always be on top. For us it is the same ... no battle we face is to hard for the LORD. As long as we carry our faith and belief in Him He will be with us and if we are fighting a battle for the LORD there is no way we can lose. I want to share a song that I found with all here...may it help you to praise the LORD for being our Banner
  11. Q3. (Matthew 26:53) Why did Jesus not call on the heavenly host in the Garden of Gethsemane? What happens when does he does call on the heavenly hosts? (Revelation 19:11-16) Mat 26:53 Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels? Jesus came to earth for one reason alone and that reason was to die for us. At that time He knew that His time was nearly at an end. That is why though we did murder Christ he could have stopped it at any time but it was his choosing not to. Rev 19:11 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. Rev 19:12 His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. Rev 19:13 He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God. Rev 19:14 And the armies of heaven, arrayed in fine linen, white and pure, were following him on white horses. Rev 19:15 From his mouth comes a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations, and he will rule them with a rod of iron. He will tread the winepress of the fury of the wrath of God the Almighty. Rev 19:16 On his robe and on his thigh he has a name written, King of kings and Lord of lords. The day that Christ returns will be quite different. He will not be returning as the Lamb but as the Lion...the Mighty Warrior...carrying with Him the Wrath of God. The first time the Lord was here he came not to judge but to save...His return will be the time for Judgement...Christ is returning and at that time He is coming to make war and with Him will be all the Heavenly Hosts...all the armies of the Lord and they are returning to strike down the nations...He will rule then as King of Kings and Lord of Lords
  12. Q2. (2 Kings 6:13-17) Why was Elisha's servant afraid? What was the difference between Elisha and his servant? What does it take for our eyes to be opened? How can 1 John 4:4 strengthen you in your spiritual battle? 2Ki 6:13 And he said, "Go and see where he is, that I may send and seize him." It was told him, "Behold, he is in Dothan." 2Ki 6:14 So he sent there horses and chariots and a great army, and they came by night and surrounded the city. 2Ki 6:15 When the servant of the man of God rose early in the morning and went out, behold, an army with horses and chariots was all around the city. And the servant said, "Alas, my master! What shall we do?" 2Ki 6:16 He said, "Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them." 2Ki 6:17 Then Elisha prayed and said, "O LORD, please open his eyes that he may see." So the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw, and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. Elisha's servant does not understand that they have the LORD fighting for them. Elisha has his the Spirit of the Lord guiding him. His eyes are opened to the Spiritual things of the World. The servant is worldly and understand only what he can see. We must have faith and trust in the Lord of our eyes to be opened. We also must have knowledge of who the Lord is and what He desires of us. We must have a hunger for Him. 1Jn 4:4 Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. Once we understand that we are God's and that He has sent to us the Holy Spirit to live within us and guide us and teach us and protect us...and we understand fully who the person the Holy Spirit is...then we have the knowledge that within us is someone who is stronger and powerful beyond our understanding. God is within us...with Him who can hurt us.
  13. Q1. (Joshua 5:13-15) Why did the Commander say he was on neither side? What is the significance of this? What did Joshua feel like during this encounter? How did he feel after this encounter? Jos 5:13 When Joshua was by Jericho, he lifted up his eyes and looked, and behold, a man was standing before him with his drawn sword in his hand. And Joshua went to him and said to him, "Are you for us, or for our adversaries?" Jos 5:14 And he said, "No; but I am the commander of the army of the LORD. Now I have come." And Joshua fell on his face to the earth and worshiped and said to him, "What does my lord say to his servant?" Jos 5:15 And the commander of the LORD's army said to Joshua, "Take off your sandals from your feet, for the place where you are standing is holy." And Joshua did so. The Commander was the Commander of the LORD, he is the LORD Himself the leader of the Heavenly Hosts. It is not Him who picks the sides but us who decide whose side we are on. We can choose to follow the LORD or we can follow the enemy. During this encounter Joshua must have a first wondered what was going on then he must have felt awe and wonder and after the encounter Joshua must have felt trust and faith and he did what he was told to do.

  15. Q4. Meditate on the titles "King of Glory" (Psalm 24:7-10) and "Father of glory" (Ephesians 1:17). What do they tell us about God? How should they affect our attitudes as we worship God? According to 2 Corinthians 3:18, how does God's glory come to fill our lives? After looking at what Glory involves I desire to have His Glory flood my life. I want the Lord to be the King of Glory in my life facing all the battles both physical and spiritual for me. As told in 2Co 3:18 And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit. the more we live within the Glory of the Lord the more we become like Him. Praise God Who is this King of Glory that pursues me with his love And haunts me with each hearing of His softly spoken words My conscience, a reminder of forgiveness that I need Who is this King of Glory who offers it to me Who is this King of angels, O blessed Prince of Peace Revealing things of Heaven and all its mysteries My spirit's ever longing for His grace in which to stand Who's this King of glory, Son of God and son of man His name is Jesus, precious Jesus The Lord Almighty, the King of my heart The King of glory Who is this King of Glory with strength and majesty And wisdom beyond measure, the gracious King of kings the Lord of Earth and Heaven, the Creator of all things Who is this King of Glory, He's everything to me The Lord of Earth and Heaven, the Creator of all things He is the King of glory, He's everything to me King of Glory....His name is Jesus
