Q2. The Obstacle of Pride
van replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #6. That I May Know Him (Philippians 3:1-11)
Paul was neutral about His religious pedigree and realize that he felt empty though he had riches and was full Jewish. He had a lot of worldly physical things, but he was missing Jesus Christ. That's something I can witness to myself. I had a lot of physical things, good job, good education but my heart still felt empty. I felt that my life wasn't complete. When Jesus came into my heart, wow, that was the answer I was looking! That's when my heart felt complete. Material things didn't matter. The only thing that matter was live my life for Jesus material things wasn't important anymore. Thank you Jesus for coming in my life. -
Q1. Confidence in the Flesh
van replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #6. That I May Know Him (Philippians 3:1-11)
I believe that everyone in my congregation at the church I attend, do not have confidence in the flesh. Several years ago I struggled with it. The more I trust God for everything in my life the more I had start to walk and talk more and more like Christ and living my life the way God wants me. I would be nothing without Him. -
They had a lot of disagreements among the members and differences in the church. Everyone wants to point the finger at others. Timothy was obedient in learning from Paul, he was humble. He did whatever he had to do in the name of the Gospel to the extent of getting sick. He gave his life by putting his problems last.

It is a high honor to me to slave for Jesus be a use He died for me because He love me. He is my master. We are to serve Jesus wholeheartedly, whether at work or church. We are to work as we are doing it for Jesus. Serving out of preference sooner or later gets bored. You do not suppose to serve be a use you want to stand out amongst the people in church. That's why people drop out of church!

Timothy selfless is he put self on the back to care about the welfare of others. He truly cared and loved the church and people. It was rare because other church leaders didn't have agape love like he did. They just preached and that's it. When I became saved, Jesus change my entire way of thinking to asking myself what would Jesus do. It the change has made me a better person because I put others before myself.

Q4. Do Struggles Honor God?
van replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #4. God Is at Work in You (Philippians 2:12-18)
It honors God through your suffering and obstacles to your faith by looking at your sufferings as a drink offering poured out before God. Instead of looking at your sufferings as why me, focusing on your suffering and of God. -
Q3. Holding Fast the Word of Life
van replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #4. God Is at Work in You (Philippians 2:12-18)
Christians are to hold fast to the Word. We are also to hold the word out to the world. The Word is our way to eternity. This relates to the church because the preacher bring forth the Word the we are to live by. I -

Q3. Holding Fast the Word of Life
van replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #4. God Is at Work in You (Philippians 2:12-18)
Christians are to hold fast to the Word by submitting themselves to listening hearing the Word, and to hold the Word in their heart, spirit, and mind. We are also to hold the word out to the world. The Word is our way to eternity. This relates to the church because the preacher bring forth the Word the we are to live by. -
Q2. Shining as Stars
van replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #4. God Is at Work in You (Philippians 2:12-18)
We are to let our light shine not only outside the church, but within the church so others will see our good deeds and praise our Father in heaven. -

van replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #4. God Is at Work in You (Philippians 2:12-18)
The salvation that is addressed here is sanctification. They are to work out there sanctification not only in themselves, but, unity throughout the whole church and to continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose until Christ comes for His church. -

Q4. Exalting the Humble
van replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #3. He Emptied Himself (Philippians 2:1-11)
In numerous verses in the Bible it speaks about humbling yourself and God will exalt us. We get impatient because of low tolerance in trying to stay humble. We get angry with people and some people go to the extent of fighting with others. You give up a lot when you totally humble yourself be for God. Our impatience lead us to sin. -
Q3. Jesus the Human Being
van replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #3. He Emptied Himself (Philippians 2:1-11)
Jesus was fully human and didn't pretend to be human. Jesus was divine and also human. The first difference is if Jesus wasn't born a human he would not be able to relate with us. The second difference is if Jesus wasn't human then is death would have been in vain and we wouldn't have a chance to go to heaven. -
Q2. Equality with God
van replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #3. He Emptied Himself (Philippians 2:1-11)
Christ is equal to the Father. Christ didn't have to cling to it because the Son is part of the Godhead. He was in the beginning of the creation of the world. He rather obey the Father than to cling to something he already have. -
Q1. Humility and Unity
van replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #3. He Emptied Himself (Philippians 2:1-11)
Humility is necessary so know one in the congregation can think he or she is better than anyone else. An example of lack of humility can be not offering a ride to and from church to someone else who doesn't have a car. By helping those who can't get to church. -

Fear of what others would say would keep us from being a bold witness. Instead of focusing on God gving you the words to say, through weakness of how and what to say people loose heir boldness and fear set in. Losing our life for Christ sake gives us abundant life because we no longer live for ourselves, but live through Christ who is in us.

We can rejoice knowing that God will handle any situation that we may go through because our faith is in Him alone. We must believe that what God started in us He will definitely complete. This is His promise and God don't break promises. My basis for believing is God word, the Bible, which I believe to be true entirely.

Q1. Crediblity
van replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #2. Struggles that Advance the Gospel (Philippians 1:12-30)
When you are undergoing personal struggles, stress, and problems your witness is stronger because even through you are still going through troubles you still stand on God's word. It is for the advance of the Gospel in showing how strong your belief is in Christ to bring you through. When others see this in you, they want to know why you believe like you do. Your actions speaks clearer than words when witnessing to others. Paul wasn't afraid of what would happen to him because of his belief. He was bold in His witnessing about the Gospel. -
