I was wrong! What would have happened to me if someone hadn't stepped out in faith to lead me to Christ? So, I want to change my answer to-sticking up for someone-giving them a chance-that is the right thing to do. Tell the truth, always! But, as much as we can, stick up for our brothers and sisters in Christ. We all need a little hand up from time to time. So, we should not be afraid to lend on from time to time. Let God be the Judge of the situation, always!

We all know that, when we come to Jesus, we gotta come clean. Part of that is making things right with those we have wronged. Onesimus had to go back and make things right with Philemon. And, Paul wanted to give Philemon a chance to do the right thing-forgive Onesimus, and restore him to his place. All three of them got something really good out of this deal.

In what ways does he remind you of yourself? I think that, speaking of myself as an example, there are some who know what it is that they are suppose to be doing, but they don't for whatever reason. Or, they are hit and miss-a little here-a little there. I don't go to church, and this is a sore spot with me, because I know I should go, but I can't find a church that preaches the truth. Or I get a church that puts on entertainment to get people in. I don't go for "Saturday Night Live"-I go for the truth being preached. So I have to find ways to serve God Without going to church. Don't give up, pay attention, and express gratitude. I need to be consistent in prayer. I need structure. I just put prayer out there whenever I feel the need to do so, but that is wrong. If I followed this guideline, then I would have a good prayer pattern, and I would feel more empowered when I pray.

My Dad Taught me right from wrong. He taught me that hard work is rewarding. He taught me to share with those less fortunate than me, even though we had just the essentials. And, he taught me obedience. When I didn't obey-I was punished! But, my Dad didn't beat me or my sibblings. Firm, but gentle. He meant business. We were not spoiled brats. But, we knew without being told, that we were loved. Dad knew how to mix love and punishment, without being overbearing with either. You don't see that much anymore. I strayed for a while, and did some shameful things. But I never forgot my Dad's love and admonition for me, and that is one of the things that brought me to Jesus, when I laid my burdens at His feet.

Why are they so important in our homes? Christian virtues are so important because they speak of the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives. No matter where we are, or what we do, we need to represent Christ-treat people how Jesus would treat them if He were still here. We now have His nature-soon we will appear like He is! Having His nature is also a testament to us-we are children of God. I need to know this on a daily basis! I want to make sure that the Holy Spirit is still with me, and He lets me know when I do something wrong! Praise the Lord!

We just don't pay attention to what we are saying, or we don't think that what we are saying is bad. Other people are watching and listening, and they may be hurt by something we say about them or someone they know. We need to be aware of what and who we are talking about! Pay attention not only for those around us, but also so we don't hurt God! Pray and ask the Lord to help us get rid of the desire to gossip, and spread lies about people, or thing s that we have heard.

Though we cannot deny that we are sexual beings, how can we keep sexual desire from controlling us and causing us to sin? Some were brought up in a culture that promoted "free love". Anything was the excepted norm. When we take Jesus as our Lord and Savior, the lusts that we thought were good we now see as wrong. Anything that separates us from God is an idol, and is very dangerous! We must recognize these desires for what they are, and change our way of thinking. Surround ourselves with thoughts and images that will promote good feelings and thoughts.
