  1. What convictions has God formed in you through this "Vision for the Church" Bible Study that will make a difference on how you think about, value, and act toward your own local congregation? Towards the greater Church around the world? I have learned that we should come to church to worship the King of Kings and to love on him...I also know that we shouldn't take it lightly bc that is God's house...We should all love and come together to win the lost and bring them to the full understanding of the Lord Jesus Christ...We are all one body in him and we all need to work together and do what he has called each of us to do...He has a work for each of us... In Christ Jesus, Michelle
  2. Q2. (Ephesians 2:19a) If we are fellow-citizens with the Jewish believers, what are we citizens of? We are citizens of the body of Christ...We are all one family.. In what sense are we "holy" or "saints"? We are holy through knowing Christ as our savior and following after him...We must give our whole lives to his plan and purpose for our lives...As we live for him and walk in his ways we become holy.. In Christ, Michelle
  3. q1. (Ephesians 2:16-18) Why is "access to the Father" important? Access to the Father is important because without him we can nothing..Going directly to him brings intimaticy... In what way is access to the Father similar having diplomatic relations? In is similar because each one is in authority to something... How did we obtain this access? We obtain this access through the cross and the blood of Jesus Christ so we can come boldly to the Father.. Extra credit: How does this access fulfill the two greatest commandments (Matthew 22:36-40) and God's purpose for us? It fulfills by loving God with everything and giving everything to him...As we love him, we learn to love one another and we are able to forgive each other as Christ has forgiven us...Walking in love and loving the lord with all our heart then we are walking in his purpose for our lives.. God bless, Michelle
  4. (Ephesians 3:20-21) Where does God's power work according to verse 20? How much power is at work there quantitatively? Why isn't it more evident? How does exercising Christ's power on earth bring glory to God? God's power works in us who believe and serve the lord...We as believers don't believe that God can do exceeding and abundantly above all we ask..When we excercise this power then more nonbelievers will see him and in turn want this power also..This is when God will get the Glory.. In Christ Jesus, Michelle
  5. (Ephesians 1:23) What does it mean for us Christians that Christ is "head over everything for the church"? What does this say about the Church's power? That Christ is rule over the body and he has all the authority..This says that the church has the same power that Christ has but he is the one who deserves all the glory and honor...Without him, we as christians can't do anything.
  6. (Ephesians 2:6) From the standpoint of power, what is the significance of Paul's statement that "God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus...."? We have the same power and authority that Christ has...We abide in him and he in us. God bless, Michelle
  7. What is the significance to them of Paul saying that Christ is seated at God's right hand in the heavenly realms? Christ is the rule over all and he has all the authority.. In what sense are these spirit beings and powers "under his feet"? Because Christ has complete power and authority over the spirit beings and powers..We should have confidence that they are defeated.. God bless, Michelle
  8. Why does Paul pray that God would open the Ephesians' eyes to discern "his incomparably great power"? What is wrong with their eyes? Because as believers our eyes can be blinded to what the word of God is really saying..He wanted us to really get what the scripture is truly saying.. Where does this power operate according to 1:19? In us the church.. Which miraculous event does Paul use as an example of this level and type of power? The resurrection of Jesus Christ.. Praise the Lord Jesus, Michelle
