Q1. Equal Faith
shawn746 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #1. Great and Precious Promises (2 Peter 1:1-4)
Faith- what a word- Faith in God - Live by Faith I would think that any chirstian who has had to over come medical problems, church problems, building a church building and others, any still remains in Him do in fact have real Faith in God. I recall in 1 John 5 that Gods promise is that if we remain in Him , he will remain in us. All we need to do is thank God for the victories and ask Him for the faith to claim the victories -
Q3. Judgment and Gospel
shawn746 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #2 Living Holy Lives (1 Pet 1:13-2:3)
Q3. (1:17) Why are people in our culture so upset when they sense they are being judged by someone else? How do you reconcile final judgment with God's love for the world? Why must final judgment be at the core of the Good News of Jesus Christ? What happens to the Gospel when final judgment is left out or ignored? Why are people in our culture so upset when they sense they are being judged by someone else? It hits to close the home for folks who live in the world. They know that they will never measure up to God's standards. Therefor they don't want, nor feel the need to be judged by others, because they live in this world??? How do you reconcile final judgment with God's love for the world? This is the same as it happen in the days of Noah, We know the end of the story and we try and tell this story of how much God love you and how you will have eternal life with him. But there are those who are so sinful that they will never turn to him. For it is written and it will come to pass. What happens to the Gospel when final judgment is left out or ignored? Folks will not understand why Jesus really came here to give us salvation Why must final judgment be at the core of the Good News of Jesus Christ? Because of his love for us, God give his son to die on the cross togive us enternal life with him. -
Holiness!!! That what we each , who are in him, try and live . Like him. Bring others to him for him and God the Father. Holiness what we should try to reach for, walking in the light not the world. Being whole through him in all things we do. Loving, faithful the "friut of the spirit", be as the Father, Love the world so much that we too would give our all for another. Holiness something I'll never be, for by nature I'm a sinner who will always fall short of the glory of the Lord, but one who has been save through the blood of Jesus Christ my Lord, whodied on that cross for me! Holiness our Father and the Son

Q1. Christ's coming
shawn746 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #2 Living Holy Lives (1 Pet 1:13-2:3)
Q1. (1:13) What about Christ's coming should get our undivided attention? Why should it inspire hope? Why should it inspire self-control and soberness? What happens in our lives when we don't really expect Christ to come soon? We will live with hin for ever. His coming gives us hope and reason to live the holy life he wants for us. We know that this life is but a training ground for what is to come. We should try our best to live the way he showed us to live, through him we have come to know how to live, how to have self-control and how to love one another. He set the example for us to follow and we should try and bring other into his love. When we don't expect him to come we live life in the world , just as some member of my family who believes you live and you die, that's it. They try and get all they can here , anyway they can, hurting whoever they need to so they win. They live for the desires of the world, not knowing or understand what really is ahead. -
Q5. (1:8-9) According to 1 Peter 1:8-9, what is the basis of Christian joy that is "inexpressible and glorious"? How does this joy interplay with human emotions? Is it essentially emotional? How does it differ from what is generally regarded as the pursuit of "happiness"? Extra Credit: How can you tell the genuine article of joy from the counterfeit? Joy, true Joy how do you define something that is within your heart, your very soul. Just knowing that he died for me, yes worthless me,who do did so many wrongs in my life. He died on the cross, his blood saved me and when I finally understood that, Oh what great Joy came into me. Knowing the true love of him and knowing the true Joy . He said that as his followers you would be persecutied for his name sake. As Christians we understand we will have many trials and when they come we will rejoice in his name, that my friend is true Joy and know him , when not seeing him. Thank you Jesus for loving me.

Q4. Refining Faith
shawn746 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #1 Rejoicing in Our Salvation (1 Pet 1:1-12)
When I was on active duty, God tested me many times about my faith. When I did return to my roots after 24 years I was ready to follow the Lord. I had been placed where he needed me. I retired and started working for him through my church and helping others. Today my faith is stronger as I teach, work and do his work in the church. Because of my wittiness others can see how his glory worked in my life and how he can work in thier lives. All things we do should be for his glory. We should worship he in all our acts. -
Through the Love of God and what he did for us. Joy- Its a heart thing, true joy is so good, even during trails , ture joy will always be with you. It knowing that God loves you and will always love and its through his grace we will always to his.

Q3. Secure by Faith
shawn746 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #1 Rejoicing in Our Salvation (1 Pet 1:1-12)
He will provide the power for the shield around us as we walk in Faith with him. Faith where we never saw him, yet we love him and trust him, for he is the the way and the word -
Q2. Forgiveness and Obedience
shawn746 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in #1 Rejoicing in Our Salvation (1 Pet 1:1-12)
You want to be obedience once you have seem the love of God and what forgiveness means. To be truely born again is to have his present in you, with you and you knowing that. But we will fail him, over and over, and he, with his love and grace will forgive us if we truely ask for it. God Loves You Part 2 . For as it is stated in the Word of God: Ephesians 2: 8-9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith- and this not from yourselves, it is a gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast" -
