Q4. Changing God's Mind
Candygoo58 replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 2. Moses' Intercession for Israel (Exodus 32:9-14)
Q4. How can prayer change God's mind without conflicting with the doctrine of the Immutability of God? Can God answer a prayer for something outside of the scope of his will? How can prayer change God's mind without conflicting with the doctrine of the Immutability of God? I believe God will never change. And his will for us will never change. I believe that whyen we do something wrong. Or we know someone else is doing something wrong. If we pray a prayer of repentance he wil change from doing what we deserve to forgiving us and making our relationship to him right again. Or same with praying for God to change the other persons heart that it will be changed. I think what Giod is doing when he is angered by someone is to wake them up and to gett hem to come back to him. Can God answer a prayer for something outside of the scope of his will? No he can't. If its not Gods will we should be glad he tells us now. Cause it would be his best for us -

Is God's sentence to destroy Israel and raise up a new nation through Moses justified? Yes, it was justified. He couldn't allow their disobedience to continue. He had to do something about it. -
Q4. Why should we continually ask forgiveness? How can unforgiveness on our part block God's blessing? How can unforgiveness block God's forgiveness? Why should we continually ask forgiveness? As long as we are human we will sin. We have to ask daily to be forgiven. To keep our relationship with him. How can unforgiveness on our part block God's blessing? When we hold unforgiveness in our hearts, it gives God no room to give us a blessing. Once we learn to let go of the unforgiveness and forgivethe wrong the doors of his blessing will be open again. How can unforgiveness block God's forgiveness? When we can't forgive we become bitter. If we can't forgive others, he can't forgive us. We need to work on having a spirit the forgives, so we to can be forgiven

Q3. Why do we seek to be independent of asking anyone for help? Why do we seek to be independent of God? Why should we ask God to "give" us daily bread so long as we can earn a living for ourselves? Why do we seek to be independent of asking anyone for help? Pride. We don't ask for help cause we don't want anyone think less of us. We want everyone to think we are able to provide for our own needs and don't need any help. Why do we seek to be independent of God? We forget that everything we have is Gods to begin with. We feel since we go out to work that is us that is providing for ourselves. When it was God that helped us to get that job so that our needs through him can be met. Why should we ask God to "give" us daily bread so long as we can earn a living for ourselves? Without him we have nothing, can do nothing. He is our provider. All we have is because of him. He wants us to ask for all that we need and to thank him for it. I give him the priase for my daily bread. Thank you Jesus.
