Q3. An Analogy for Baptism
sandy replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 4. The Present-Day Significance of Christ's Resurrection
Absolutely, as you say so it is. -
He is the rock of salvation on which the wise person builds a life upon. being firmly plant on him we are able to withstand all storms and remain to the end. no budge, no grudge means lots of fudge. Our emotions are as equally important as our actions just as our motives and our motions. in that day many shall say Lord .Lord and he will say depart from me. Our works must remain consistant in attitude and altitude without favor and predudice. Because God is no man debtor as you sow you shall reap also even as you do unto the least of mine you do it to me. Not all of our rewards are held back for that great day many have been hidden for us to discover as we continue steadfastly in this walk we call life.

Q4. Firstborn from the Dead
sandy replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 4. The Present-Day Significance of Christ's Resurrection
The first was significant of more to come. Jesus retained a body for which was tested by thomas as he doubted and needed proof. Jesus ate fter his resurrection and even states that he would not eat of the fruit of the vine untill the marriage feast of the lamb.Just as Jesus paved the way for men to live on earth he has also prepared a way for us in eternity. He said in my fathers house are many mansion and i go to prepare a [place for you). his example is our example and his promise our promise as we move from servants to freinds and sons of God. "All os creation groan whit anticipation at the revelation of the son's of God. -
Q3. An Analogy for Baptism
sandy replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 4. The Present-Day Significance of Christ's Resurrection
The baptism of water was alway a sign of entering into a new covenant. both jew,s and gentiles were convinced of John,s baptism for repentance a sign of death to the old life and the emerging into a new life. Jesus was without sin so when he was baptised it signified a deeper meaning behind the baptism.being an image of the past (the red sea) and a picture of things to come. John stating that he was ineed of Jesus baptism was significant in the picture of things to come. Sanctification by baptism is the setting apart for a life that was worldly and carnal for one that is eternal and spiritual. The new birth at the coming out from the water is symbolic of a resurrection to come , it is also a reality in the now as we continue into the abundant life as promised by Christ. But Christ had another baptism that of the spirit. flesh and spirit war against each other so it is essential that we as believers must be baptised into the death of the carnal and born again into the life of the spirit. God is spirit and those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth. in Acts 1 Jesus proclaimed the baptism of the spirit as he told his disciples to wait in Jerusalem the promise of God after which you shall recieve power. -
The only hope we have is faith . Knowledge and belief even the devils have. faith is the action of our beliefs. Our hope therefore lies in that God is not a man that he should lie. therefore as he has promised through his eternal word that the same spirit that raised Christ will raise the faithful also. Also if God is able to release Christ from all the sin that he took upon himself , then he will also release us of ours through the covenant relationship that he has with his own son.

The validity of all prophets was in the fulfillment of thier prophecies. if they did not come to pass they were stoned. everything that both Jesus and the prophets spoke about his death came to pass. this validation was not restricted to his own prophecies, but for everything that he spoke and every claim he made. this is God's seal of approval, confirmation by eventand advent.

no-one understood that he was the resurrection and that his claims were all true. even visiting his tomb his followers could not believe that his body had gone. Even though the authorities did not beleive, they thought it prudent to post guards to ensure that Jesus's followers did not take the body to make false claims to his resurrection. I am amazed that they did not think to come up with a substitute body to quash any validity or uprising as a result of the resurrection which they infact helped to authenticate.

Q3. I Am the Resurrection and the Life
sandy replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 1. The Promise of Resurrection from the Dead
In the beguinning was the word and the word was with God and was God. all of creation is held together by the power of his word. Elijah raised the dead by the annointed power the Holy Spirit Christ also means the annointed Christos Phonetic: khris-tos' Text: from Strongs exhaustive concordance 5548; anointed, i.e. the Messiah, an epithet of Jesus: --Christ. He who commands the stars is able to command life also, because he is the life. My thoughts regarding the glorified body we will be resurrected into has been shaped by the fact that on the road to Damascus Jesus was not recognised by his disciples. Yet Thomas was able to put his hands into the places where Jesus was wounded. Mark 16 12. After that, He appeared in another form to two of them as they walked and went into the country. 13. And they went and told it to the rest, but they did not believe them either. 14. Afterward He appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and He rebuked their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen Him after He had risen. Jesus being the 1st fruit means that we to will be like him,in fact it is written that when he appears we will be like him. Flesh and blood cannot inheirit the kingdom of God so the glorified body although may appear similar cannot be the same as the body we walk on earth in. It will not die or get sick ,it will not be corrupted. -
1 Corinthians 15:42 So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption. 43. It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power. 44. It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. Mortal puts on imortality.and that's just the start. As we have always been in the presence of the Lord the only difference ther is if we remain, and that is the domain of the righteouss. A lot of what we do and can be will depend on what riches we have built up in heaven. It is written as you sow you shall reap also, thinking about the parable of those who build with hay and clay which can be consumed in the fire or silver and gold which is purified by fire. Our God is an all consuming fire and only those things that we have built into our lives that are eternal and spiritual will remain in the resurrection. It is also written " do you not know that you will judge angels ?" This verse also implies that the degree we develope here will determine our place or function in the resurrection.

Q1. Job's Vision of Resurrection
sandy replied to Pastor Ralph's topic in 1. The Promise of Resurrection from the Dead
Q1. How does Job's vision of resurrection (Job 19:25-27) differ from the Jews' former understanding of death as Sheol? Sheol is a place from which no one can save himself (Ps. 89:48). Once there, a person has no hope of returning to the realm of the living (Job 7:9; 17:13-16). In Sheol there is no activity of work, planning, knowledge, or wisdom (Eccl. 9:10); no one praises God from there (Pss. 6:5; 88:10-12; Isa. 38:18). a place of darkness (Job 10:21-22) and a place of silence (Pss. 94:17; 115:17). It is clear that Job's veiw of death has changed from earlier passages. In job 7.7 he say's his eye will see no good again as he has become dispondant, yet here in chptr 19 he say,e his flesh( self) will see God. The prevailing thought was that sheol was a place of darkness with no activity, knowledge or wisdom, yet for him to be able to see God implies both activity and intellect after death. What is progressive revelation? The revealing of truth one step at a time. As his way's are higher than ours, this seems to be our Fathers prescribed method of revealing himself and his truths. Paul was another example of one who out of a deep and intimate relationship was revealed the mysteries we call doctorine. Martin Luther was another, other brought back baptisms and so on. I guess the biggest danger of all is that we could ignore new revelations even now, by holding fast to our tradditional thinking and refusing our veiws to be challenged by any new revelation. This would result in us being the same as the Jewish leaders in the days Jesus was in the flesh.Test all things and holdfast to that which is good. some revelations are simply a personal understanding gained, yet they could be the key to unlocking so much more. eg Last week after a time of great worship and meditation I got a revelation. I saw that Mary giving birth to Christ was always God's plan. that she was also a picture of the church. That God was going to bring forth the Christ through the church. also that this is the women in revelation who the dragon sought to destroy. A personnal revelation without a doubt, could it be anything more, only god can tell; but it may be a key for me to come into a better understanding of some other mysteries. -
I am always amazed ai Fathers sense of humor. I ahve a Lutheran history as mt family moved to New Zealand 1842 still running from the catholic oppression from within europe. My great greatgreatgrand father who was a lutheran minister built the 1st knox presbytarian church in wellington. this is the part that i found funny. I was sunday schooled by the salvation army, went to church of england with my grand mother, was a sunday school teacher at a presbyterian church, was inspirede by the jehovah witnesses(reading a book on revelation ) and found the reality of God in an independant pentacostal church, and now am a preacher and director of an assy of god in australia. a father of 3 kids and 6 step children also 2 of my 6 grandkids are older than my youngest 2. when god has a call he has a call. Both my wife an i have come from varios childhood abuses and previous marriages to find our selves ministering to broken couples and families in crisis. the next step in our journey is to move back to New Zealand and start a new ministry in Wellington. so for me the study is just adding more word and depth to an awesome experience as we walk in faith to the promised land. never ever think that anything is beyond you as i do sense a great call is on you.

[well hello everyone it's good to be back on board. I have yet again come to a point where i feel the need to succeed. And by that I have realised that study to show thyself is not just to show that you are to others but to show my self. All that God want's to do is to move us into our destiny that plan that has for us all. and now some extra measures must be taken to push through the barrier and into the next.
