  1. The rich man was oblivious to poor Lazarus laying in front of his gates and suffering from disease it made him think more that his superior to Lazarus. He als might not have considered Lazarus as a human being because of his poor condition. Mercy is from him is absent towards Lazarus and his condition. Consider todays life with beggars in our communities. If we know you we would try and avoid you or if we see you we change direction and if your dirty and dont smell or look clean we especially keep away from you. We should be reaching out to the poor and help them where we can. The movie Evan almighty last 5 minutes ARK stands for 1 Act of Random Kindness.
  2. Jesus knew that as mankind we had a problem with implementation and doing the work. We will always have an excuse and He also knew that faith wouldnt be enough. But that our faith is nothing without works
  3. Q3. (Luke 3:22; 4:1, 14a; 4:18-19; 5:17b; 10:21; Acts 10:38a) Did Jesus do miracles by reason of being the unique Son of God, or by means of the power of the Holy Spirit upon him? yes Jesus performed miracles by means of the power of the holy spirit. Why is this important for us as his disciples? it is important because without the presence of God in our lives we are capable of absolutely nothing. In what ways does Jesus serve as our example in ministry? Jesus led his complete life on the earth in the spirit. Whatever Jesus did He always talked with God by means of prayer and holy spirit guidance. And all Jesus did was for the glory of God. And Jesus was obedient to God.
  4. I believe it was God who sent the holy spirit. Jesus told the disciples to wait in the upper room for the comforter. Jesus also told the disciples that He must go so that the advocate can come John 16 v 7. Luke 24 v 29 I send the promise of my farther upon you
  5. Q3 Ezra 4: v1>3 The work of God will be seen as human work. there will be no holy spirit presence and they will rely on human insight. which in turn will lead to preaching being humanised. salvation will not be preached, restoration and forgiveness will not be preached. all things will be done with human understanding. the work of God will then be turned into a money making business. but we mere human beings keep forgetting that there are people who have tried this but not succeeded. God will allow no man to play with Him or his word. That is why the church leaders must be true worshippers of God and continuously seek his face. We see so many people open their own churches, ministries and leadership titles based on their own initiative and human understanding. For their own selfish reasons. Many of them have big followings. But they will be held accountable by God for all the misled souls.
  6. Moses's spiritual hunger is because he found what his been looking for all his life. all his questions answered. Moses grew up as an Egyptian prince only to learn that the life he was living is a lie. Moses saw that with God on his side he was someone and God used him to reveal his power through. and Moses wanted to see and experience more of this powerful God who had power over all things. Paul speaks of a life where according to his teachings as a devout Jewish scholar everything that he believed in built his life on meant nothing without Jesus. Paul's experience with God changed his whole life irrevocably. He learnt that Jesus was and is truly the hope that they were waiting for. everything he was taught about the Jewish laws and the great prophets was that they were all speaking about Jesus. He has never met such a powerful peaceful individual such as Jesus Chri.st
  7. His characteristics and His abilities. He would be awesome, amazing, glorious and wonderfull.
  8. becoming a instrument in the hand of Jesus is something some of us fear a lot and beacuse of that God will use the tool thats available unto Him. we need to avail ourselves unto God.
  9. the prophet Isaiah must have been in awe at this vision. seeing the seraphim chants sound like thunder shaking the doors of the temple. i suddenly feel so small. my voice can't make doors shake
  10. the vintner had a beautifull vision of how His garden was gonna look and the great fruit is was going to yield. i cannot help but ask myself the question am i bearing beautifull fruit? am i bearing great tasting fruit? may the good Lord have mercy on our souls.
