Ramon
Q4. (Luke 13:18-20) According to these parables in this lesson, in what ways is the Kingdom small? In what ways does the Kingdom grow? In what ways is the Kingdom door narrow? In what way is the Kingdom banquet, on the one hand, large and diverse, and on the other, selective? 18This led Him to say, What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it? 19It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his own garden; and it grew and became a tree, and the wild birds [a]found shelter and roosted and nested in its branches. 20And again He said, To what shall I liken the kingdom of God? Answer: The Kingdom is small because only Few will able to enter through its gates. The Kingdom Grow,by applying the WORD OF GOD,nurture it and nourish with our relationship with God,through Prayers,Fellowship, and Praise..until the time comes that it will produce its fruit into our Heart. The Kingdom door is narrow in a sense that Many Knew God,but refuse to acknowledge His perfect Plan in Jesus, and accept the perfect WORK of JESUS in the cross. The Kingdom Banquet, for me are all EQUAL.Once you are admitted, once your name is include in the book of life, there will be no more big,nor small, big and wide, great and greatest,I think all will be EQUAL FEASTING on the TABLE WHERE GOD WILL REIGN FOREVER AND EVER. THANK YOU LORD JESUS. AMEN.
SoiKosum
The Kingdom of God is small because God uses the weak, the poor, the insignificant and the individual to bring His word to the world. As God works through His disciples, the number of people who acknowledge Jesus as their Lord and Saviour will grow and hence the Kingdom of God will grow. The way to the Kingdom door is narrow as we can only find it when we are truly repentant and obedient to the word of God. The Kingdom banquet is large and diverse because the invitation of made to all peoples including both Jews and Gentiles. However, it is also selective as one must have a personal relationship with our Lord Jesus before we are allowed to stay.
PATCH
The Kingdom of God is small because there are still millions out there who have not heeded the call to repent, who have not heard the gospel and who have walked away from the faith. Jesus did not come to save an elite few but he died for everyone. Even though it appears that the number of believers is small, the Kingdom of God will still grow because He is the only one and true God. If every believer do their part in bringing His word to the world and this can be in the form of our testimony, evangelizing, prayer and intercession, etc we will be like the small amount of yeast which multiply the number of believers in the Kingdom of God. The way to the Kingdom door is narrow because it involves a time sensitive decision and it will open only to those who obey the call to repent and receive Jesus as their Lord. The Kingdom banquet is large and diverse because the invitation is made to everyone - Jews, Gentiles, young and old, rich and poor, the intellectuals and the lesser educated. Although the invitation goes out to everyone, it is at the same time selective because only whose who enjoy a personal relationship with the Lord Jesus can make it through the narrow door. daddyboy
According to these parables in this lesson,in what ways is the Kingdom small? It is small because only the people who chose to accept Christ as their Savior will enter the Kingdom. Throughout the ages it is inconceivable the quantity of people who rejected a life Jesus compared to those who have accepted his call. Many are called but only a few are chosen. They may make the claim but Jesus sees the heart of man and what is truely on the inside. In what way does the Kingdom grow? It grows by witnessing to people one heart at a time. Then hoping that the Holy Spirit will convict them that they are seperated from God by sin. May the light of God open their Spititual eye. In what way is the Kingdom door narrow? It is small because there is only one entrance and that is by way of "The Old Rugged Cross" of Calvary. Only those who have accepted Jesus by faith wil enter through the narrow door. In what way is the Kingdom banquet on the one hand, large and diverse, and on the other , selective? It is large and diverse because its guest are from all nations that have accepted Christ down though the years. It is selective due to the fact of the large amount who have rejected his call on their life. This is the sad part. How many opportunities have they put off something so important. With each rejection the next becomes that much easier until the Holy Spirit does not present its call on their hearts. For some the opportunity may be but one call and if refused they will enter eternity seperated from Gods love and not being able to gather on the shores of the Promised Land to meet loved one who have passed over before. The selection is ours. Answer the call today because for a second change may not present itself.
charisbarak
The kingdom is small when it begins in the heart/s. It grows as believers witness and more hearts are turned to Him. The kingdom door is narrow--only one way to enter--accepting Jesus, our savior & shepherd--the keeper of the door. It is large & diverse including peoples & races from every land. Then it becomes selective--have they indeed repented & accepted Jesus? If not, they miss out--forever......

In what ways does the Kingdom grow? In what ways is the Kingdom door narrow? In what way is the Kingdom banquet, on the one hand, large and diverse, and on the other, selective? The kingdom if small because very few people will enter in.The kingdom grows when we as follower of God tell about his words and tell them how to enter the kingdom. The kingdom door is narrow because very few people well go in because of thing that are in there lives that they will not let go of. The kingdom bauguet is when all of God people get to heaven and come together for the feast of all feast. It is selective because very few people will come to the feast. haar
According to the parable, the smallness of the Kingdom refers to the number of those who responded to the call for repentance. Though the invitation was to every one (wide and large), only few responded (small).
Summertime7
Q4. (Luke 13:18-20) According to these parables in this lesson, in what ways is the Kingdom small? The Kingdom is small because very few by their own choice will enter in. Secondly, the stipulation to gain entrance would appear to be narrow to those on the outside, however the gain is so much greater than we could ever imagine in our own human intellect. In what ways does the Kingdom grow? The Kingdom of God grows, I believe first and foremost inside of us as individuals as we begin to feast and meditate upon the word. As the seed of the word inside of us is watered, then we can begin to share the word of God with others and nuture the seed as well....as a result, fruit will begin to grow and the Kindgom of God continues to grow like wild fire as it did in the book of Acts. In what ways is the Kingdom door narrow? The Kindgom is narrow because there is only one way to gain access, and that is through Jesus Christ of Nazareth, our Lord and Savior. In what way is the Kingdom banquet, on the one hand, large and diverse, and on the other, selective? The Kingdom banquet is open to all, which permits and allows diversity. However, there is a selection process of who qualifies to enter into the Kingdom banquet and who doesn't. For example, there are stipulations to gain entry, and the first is repentance. The second is accepting Christ as Lord and Savior.
nurselaino
Luk 13:18 He said therefore, "What is the kingdom of God like? And to what shall I compare it? Luk 13:19 It is like a grain of mustard seed that a man took and sowed in his garden, and it grew and became a tree, and the birds of the air made nests in its branches." At this time the Kingdom is like a seed being planted and until the day the Lord closes the way it will keep growing with those that accept Christ. There is only one way to the Kingdom. The narrow door is that of accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as our Saviour. There is no other way in. Once you have done that then all of eternity of life with our Lord is before you. God loves us and wants us to be with Him but it is up to us to make that decision. He will not force anyone to accept Him. He has given us everything for us to come to the right decision and now it is up to us. We see the world as what we should be hankering for when we should be focusing on eternity. Therefore in the end it will be the select that go through the narrow door and attend the banquet in the Kingdom.
jr4624
Right now it is small because it mainly exists in the hearts of his followers. It is not yet the rule of Jesus as Lord over all creation. It grows both in the number of believers include and in the sense that one day Jesus will be Lord over all creation. Right now, Satan is the ruler of this world, but that will change when God decides that the time has come. It is narrow because Jesus is the only way into the Kingdom. It is hard to find because many don't want to believe that he is their only hope. It is large and diverse in that people from all walks of life and from all times will be represented. Also because every single person who was ever born is invited. It is selective because the only way to get in is to accept the invitation by repenting of your sins and following Jesus, and most people will never accept that they have to do that. Pearl
Q4. (Luke 13:18-20) According to these parables in this lesson, in what ways is the Kingdom small? It is small in that it is only one way to enter in. Repent, believe in the Lord Jesus with all your heart, accept Him and confess with the mouth and thou shall be saved. This is hard for some people to do, because they put so much ahead of Christ. I was also included with that group at one time, but thank God for His grace and mercy. In what ways does the Kingdom grow? one heart sharing with another the beautiful news of the Kingdom. In what ways is the Kingdom door narrow? It is narrow in that it is only one way to enter in and that is receiving the Lord Jesus as one's personal savior, repent and turn away from the old life style and live the new life according to the Kingdom rules. We can not do it our way, but do it God's way. It is only one way. In what way is the Kingdom banquet, on the one hand, large and diverse, and on the other, selective? Because people will come from all over which makes it large and diverse. There will be people of all color in heaven. Only those who obeyed and heeded to the call and were obedient can enter in. Eudora
Q4. (Luke 13:18-20) According to these parables in this lesson, in what ways is the Kingdom small? I think because Jesus only knows a few who are obedient to His word. That straight gate... I believe it is the ones who keep the word of God as it is written, not as it is taught. In what ways does the Kingdom grow? By faith in our redeemer. In what ways is the Kingdom door narrow? Narrow because only a few seem to want to squeeze themselves into what He demands. I think of this door that is narrow as like a olive press. Those who are willing to be squeezed and molded into the person that He asks us to be and not the way that we are told by others that we should be. In what way is the Kingdom banquet, on the one hand, large and diverse, and on the other, selective? Jesus said He has two flocks. I am still not convinced that I get this but I think that He was sent to the two houses. One , whom were His own people, the tribe of Judah and the Gentiles and the rest of the tribes who accept Him and begin to follow His way and His teachings. There are simply those whom He Himself calls. I can

In what ways does the Kingdom grow? In what ways is the Kingdom door narrow? In what way is the Kingdom banquet, on the one hand, large and diverse, and on the other, selective? The kingdom is small like a tree seed, which contains the potential to become a mighty tree; and again like yeast, which can suffuse a large amount of dough and make it rise to great size. The kingdom grows like a tree or like a rising loaf of bread. The door is narrow in that not everyone can find the way inside (i picture us blindly groping along a wall for an opening or for a light from within to guide us). The kingdom banquet is large in that it includes people from all races and cultures, but selective in that it is set only for those who have truly repented their sins and been granted Grace. In what ways is the Kingdom door narrow? In what way is the Kingdom banquet, on the one hand, large and diverse, and on the other, selective? According to these parables in this lesson, in what ways is the Kingdom small? In Jesus day, he only knew a few who are obedient to His words, so it is by little faith that a believer believes and each day add to his belief will make it grow, but in the beginning it is still small to start. In what ways does the Kingdom grow? In faith we continue to believe, and it is struggle and contest to win so the kingdom can grow but in small increments. In what ways is the Kingdom door narrow? It is Narrow because only a few seem to want to squeeze themselves into what his demands are. In what way is the Kingdom banquet, on the one hand, large and diverse, and on the other, selective? Jesus said that their are groups of people who believe and had faith in him with all their heart, and groups that believe, but at times failed due to storms that may cause them to give up their faith, and their are groups that don't believe him at all. The groups that only believe, but faithless and give up soon, may be the group that can be very selective in terms of Jesus allowing them in this narrow door if their faith and belief in him is not up to par. pickledilly
The Kingdom of God is small only to human perception. It is in the sense that we can only see and experience the tiniest portion of it while in the world. It is contained here only in the Body of Christ on earth. It grows with each new believer added to God’s family and with each instance of obedience in every believer as God’s will is done in each personal life. It will only be ultimately and fully revealed when the King of kings returns to lay rightful claim to the entirety of His creation. The Kingdom door is narrow in that admission is gained in only one way – through Christ as defined by God Himself, not man. There are not multiple options for entry. The Kingdom banquet is huge and diverse because the invitation to come has been extended to “every nation, tribe, and tongue”. The guests are from every period of human history, every corner of the earth, every language and culture – all united by the Spirit into one collective Body, one faith, one baptism, one Lord. The banquet is also selective because it is not enough just to receive an invitation; each one must accept it according to terms. The horrible truth is that the greatest number of people won't accept.
jacquie7
The Kingdom is small in its modest beginnings and the willingness of people to repent. It continues to grow as people repent and accept Jesus. The door is narrow in that not many will want to repent or believe in Jesus, which prohibits entry into the Kingdom. Ernie's Son
A. As the mustard seed and the leaven are small in their beginnings, so is the Kingdom in its beginnings. The lesson gives a number of reasons that this is true: it's "influence," and its being "insignificant" at its start/beginning; yet, we know that it will not stay this way--only in its beginning/start. B. The lesson puts it this way: "Jesus mentions the growth, but the main emphasis seems to be on the beginning (very small) and the end (very large): Small beginnings, large endings." Yet, how does it get from the small and insignificant to being large and influential? 1 Co. 3:6 "I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase." Phi. 2:13 "For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure." C. It's narrow, in that, it won't be easy to enter for a number of reason? First, what can and cannot enter the narrow door. The ones who will not repent and respond to God's call will find the door narrow. The ones who will attempt to enter with their self-righteousness will find the door narrow. Probably, there are others, but this is just a few reasons to show just how narrow the door really is--just a few will be able to enter. D. It is large in that it's invitation is "for all peoples," and all the "whosoever wills;" yet, selective for the ones who "will strive to enter the narrow door," through repentance and responding to the call of the Lord.
