charisbarak
People don't want to be hurried--they think they have plenty of time before they make the decision. That is our job--to evangelize. How do I regard my position in Christ & how am I truly serving Him right now?

haar
It is good and wonderful to extend the great invitation to the great banquet around us. The reaction to the call/ invitation varies from cold response to warm and hearty reception and aceptance. We (all Christians) are like the servants given the resposibility to go and make disciples, that is, make/ urge them to come to accept the Lord Jesus Christ. At the same time we too are also invited to the great feast. It will be suicidal for us to gain all the converts but missed the great banquete. wifee
a)The call should be one of urgency, without Jesus they will not be saved. b)Jesus urged each of us as his disciples to go tell others good news,so they will not perish, but accept Jesus & enter the kingdom/Great banquet on day of judgement. C)Although we are undeserving,in his mercy we have still been called by Jesus to share in the feast in the kingdom with our brothers & sisters. We need to not be complacent & respond to the promptings of spirit, making use of every opportunity to share faith. Commissioned
Q4. What does the call to the Great Banquet sound like when we extend the invitation to those around us? The call to the Great Banquet sound like the call to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb when we extend the invitation to those around us. In what sense are we the servants told to compel them to come in? The servants are told to compel them to come in because today is the day of repentence, tomorrow is not promised to anyone. In what sense are we those who have been called to the feast in the Kingdom of God? We those who have been called to the feast in the Kingdom of God because it has been prepared for the Believers. Raph
Q4. What does the call to the Great Banquet sound like when we extend the invitation to those around us? When we extend the invitation to those around us, the call to the Great Banquet sounds urgent and serious that cannot be put for a later time; the decision to attend should be made now. In what sense are we the servants told to "compel them to come in"? We are servants told to "compel them to come in" in the sense that, as we are waiting for the Great Feast, we should preach evangelism; we should spread the good new to all people around us. In what sense are we those who have been called to the feast in the Kingdom of God? we are those who have been called to the feast in the Kingdom of God in the sense that, we have accepted His invitation; we have received the good news and acepted Jesus as our Saviour. We are only waiting to be called to sit around the table.

blezed
What does the call to the Great Banquet sound like when we extend the invitation to those around us? The call to the Great Banquet sounds like evangelism when we extend the invitation to those around us. In what sense are we the servants told to “compel them to come in”? We, the servants are told to "compel them to come in" because as believers we are to evangelize to the unbelievers with urgency. We cannot take no or excuses. We do not know when Jesus is coming back, but we know he is coming back. In what sense are we those who have been called to the feast in the Kingdom of God? We are those who have been called to the feast in the Kingdom of God in the sense that we have excepted the invitation.
jacquie7
The call doesn’t seem that urgent to non-believers as it does to potential believers. We think we have time to answer the call and we put it off until we’re done with our other obligations. The fact that believers know and understand the Kingdom of God and the end times, we make every attempt to urge those around us to repent and be saved before it’s too late. We also have been invited and have accepted the invitation because as I mentioned before, we know and understand the Host and will do as He has requested out of obedience and love to our Father. tgandy
The call to the Great Banquet is an invitation. An invitation one cannot refuse. If you believe you will "drop" everything and follow. We as the servants must impress upon those who are invited the importance of such an invitation. It may be the last invitation you receive. We too are called to the Great Banquet. Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. He calls us, we obey. There is no other way to be Happy in Jesus.
Ernie's Son
What does the call to the Great Banquet sound like when we extend the invitation to those around us? The servants who "compel them to come in" for the "householder" is a message of "grace" has to be "Good News" to all those who " . . . labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" (Mat. 11:28). In what sense are we the servants told to "compel them to come in"? The "compilers" are the "servants" of the "householder." Also, the call is "urgent and cannot be put off" (Lesson Material). In what sense are we those who have been called to the feast in the Kingdom of God? "And until the final call comes to take our seats around the table, we are still inviters to yet others to come" (Lesson Material).
