courageous1
We are removed from the curse of the law through Jesus Christ. He became our curse through his death. The Gentiles also receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Thanks to Jesus Christ - He freed Gentiles (and us) from the curse of the law. charisbarak
Everyone who lives by the law is judged by the law. Since no one is able to perfectly live by the law, those are cursed. Sin = death Having faith in the finished work of Jesus on the cross, justifies us and the promised Spirit is given to us at that time. Jesus was cursed for us for our redemption. On what basis do the Gentiles receive “the promise of the Spirit” (3:14)? We cannot keep the law. JanMary
Q3. (Galatians 3:10-14) What is Paul’s argument for salvation by faith based on the concept of the “curse of the law”? Anyone who depends upon the law to be justified or made right with God is cursed, as the scripture says, since no one except Jesus was able to keep the law....if one was broken, the individual was guilty of all, and cursed! We either live by the law and die by it, or live by faith in Christ to eternal life. On what basis do the Gentiles receive “the promise of the Spirit” (3:14)? Christ purchased our freedom from the law and the curse, becoming a curse for us, so that in Him we live and move and have our being, free from bondage. As a Gentile receives Christ, the blessing promised to Abraham becomes his, by faith.

Highohfaith
By following law (in this case, Jewish law and tradition, particularly that of circumcision) you are negating Jesus' death on the cross.! By the death of Christ who came and died a horrible death, taking with him, to the grave, our sins, we are saved, not by Law. Jesus came to free us from the law, We are set free only through the blood of Jesus! If you believe the law as a way to salvation, you are cursed not sanctified. Only FAITH can redeem us! On the basis of God's promise, which He made to Abraham, that by faith we will receive the Spirit (Christ). God's promise secured the gentiles a way to salvation, through faith in Christ Jesus..The promise of God's salvation is offered to all who accept His son. Luke 11:19 (NIV) "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. All these blessings our heavenly Father( promised to us through Abraham) is more ready to bestow on every one that asks for them.

On what basis do the Gentiles receive “the promise of the Spirit” (3:14)? 3.a. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law being made a curse for us. All who rely on observing the law are under a curse. No one is justified before God by the law, because the just shall live by faith. Jesus took on that curse for us when He hung on the cross at Calvary. Hab. 2:4 NLT "Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. Janissi
(Galatians 3:10-14) What is Paul's argument for salvation by faith based on the concept of the "curse of the law"? If I understand the question correctly, it's based on Deuteronomy 27:26, which states, "'Cursed is the man who does not uphold the words of this law by carrying them out." If one was under the law, they are under the curse of the law. The law is not of faith for the "just shall live by faith." God had a plan for salvation long ago, and it was through Abraham that the blessing of faith to the Gentiles might come through Abraham. On what basis do the Gentiles receive "the promise of the Spirit" (3:14)? Faith in Jesus Christ!
Delivered
Q3. (Galatians 3:10-14) What is Paul's argument for salvation by faith based on the concept of the "curse of the law"? I am reminded of the "GARDEN OF EDEN" where the "CURSE OF THE LAW" originated, when Adam failed to put his "FAITH and TRUST" in God, and he disobeyed God's law and its curse fell on all the seed of Adam. All people, both legalists and those who TRUST will agree that God's law requires obedience to all of its commands - God does not gloss over sin, as Paul quoted in Deu 27:26 Cursed be he that confirmed not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say, Amen. (FAITH and TRUST) HAS ALWAYS been the means to SALVATION. Salvation came to Israel when they put their (FAITH and TRUST) in the God of Israel, and salvation was received through their OBEDIENCE to God's law, and they placed the blood over their door post and the destroyer passed over. God commanded Israel to observe Passover and leavened bread, with all the rites and ceremonies enjoined to them, respecting the Passover Lamb. Exo. 12:26-27 and it shall come to pass, when your children shall say unto you, what mean ye by this service? That ye shall say, it is the sacrifice of the LORD'S Passover, who passed over the houses of the children of Israel in Egypt, when he smote the Egyptians, and delivered our houses. And the people bowed the head and worshipped. Paul made it very clear, Salvation never came from the legalism of the law, legalism is the exact opposite of TRUST, and in fact LEGALISM is the forerunner of religious pride, it is actually disobedience to the LAW. On what basis do the Gentiles receive "the promise of the Spirit" (3:14)? The Gentiles receive the promise of the Spirit only through (FAITH and TRUST) in the God of Israel and His Son, the Passover Lamb. We must remember not to condemn all first century Jews as legalistic, for that would be heresy, it would be the same heresy for the Christians, for many think “if I do this or if I do that” then God will except me whether I put my TRUST Him, or am found FAITHFUL. There are far too many Christians who think because they said the sinners prayer, and because they are good people, doing good things, going to church regular, that God will applaud them for their deeds, and they will receive the Holy Spirit, BUT, without heartfelt (FAITH and TRUST) in God for sending His Son to be atonement for sin, it would be heresy, for all this outward “obedience” is hateful to God, just as it was to Israel, we read in (Isa 1:13-14 Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and Sabbaths, the calling of assemblies, I cannot away with; it is iniquity, even the solemn meeting. Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hates: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.) Rabbi Paul made it clear, it wasn’t the “LAW” that is cursed, it is “WE” who are CURSED, we who have no heartfelt desire to follow after the leading of the Holy Spirit, we who do not thirst and hunger after God’s holy laws - TO DO THEM. Lion of Grace
Q3. (Galatians 3:10-14) What is Paul’s argument for salvation by faith based on the concept of the “curse of the law”? On what basis do the Gentiles receive “the promise of the Spirit” (3:14)? Paul argued that those under the law are cursed and those who are under grace are not cursed because by faith in Jesus, we believe that He took the curse on Himself and freed us. We are no longer under a curse or the law, but are made righteous by faith and live under grace. The Gentiles receive the promise of the Spirit by faith alone. Marloes
We can't keep the Law. So if you can only be saved by keeping the Law, you just can't be saved. So it's a curse. Jesus' blood introduced getting saved by mercy. You can get it by simply believing Him.

hanks
Q3. (Galatians 3:10-14) What is Paul's argument for salvation by faith based on the concept of the "curse of the law"? On what basis do the Gentiles receive "the promise of the Spirit" (3:14)? Paul tells us that disobedience always brings us under the curse of God and exposes us to the awful penalties of His judgment. By breaking just one law we bring ourselves under the curse of the law, which is the curse of God. The law demands obedience in all things, as James says in James 2:10, ‘For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.’ So if we live by the law, obedience must be complete or absolute, and this is impossible for us to achieve. Since all have sinned, except of course, our Lord Jesus, no one can be justified before God by works. Paul continues that far from conferring a blessing, the law can only curse, whereas the blessing of God brings justification and life, and the curse of God brings condemnation and death. Paul quotes Habakkuk 2:4, ‘...the just shall live by his faith’, again emphasizing that salvation can never come by obedience to law but only through faith in our Saviour Lord Jesus Christ. Paul goes on to tell us what Jesus Christ has done for us on the cross. He has redeemed us, ransomed us, set us free from the awful condition of bondage to which the curse of the law has brought the Galatians. The blessing of Abraham that Paul mentions is really salvation by grace through faith. Christ had to die and be glorified before the Spirit could be given. He further states that the basis by which the Gentiles receive ‘the promise of the Spirit’ is solely by faith; by being united with Christ in faith. The conclusion therefore is that God's promise of blessing to the Gentiles is through Christ, by faith and not by law-keeping.
haar
Q3. (Galatians 3:10-14) What is Paul's argument for salvation by faith based on the concept of the "curse of the law"? On what basis do the Gentiles receive "the promise of the Spirit" (3:14)? There is a curse attached to anyone who did not obey all the laws. this implied that every one was under a curse as no one coud obey all the law. When Jesus died on the cross for our sin, He took our currse on Himself and we can now just have faith and be righteous. Through Christ, the Gentiles are given the promised Holy Spirity by faith in Christ

blezed
What is Paul’s argument for salvation by faith based on the concept of the “curse of the law”? Paul's argument for salvation by faith based on the concept of the 'curse of the law' is that no matter what the Judaizers say, the law cannot justify and save us, it can only condemn. Christ took the curse of the law upon himself when he died for us. On what basis do the Gentiles receive “the promise of the Spirit” (3:14)? Gentiles received 'the promise of the Spirit' because of the promise blessings of Abraham.

Old Jerry
Paul’s argument for salvation by faith is based on the concept of the “curse of the law” because we believe. If we believe we are children of Abraham. God foresaw that we would be justified by faith. The basis that the Gentiles received “the promise of the Spirit” was the promise that God gave Abraham.
