Helen Posted October 23, 2003 Report Posted October 23, 2003 Around the throne of God a band of glorious angels always stand.. Holy, holy, holy, Lord God almighty, Heaven and earth shall praise thy Name in earth and sky and sea. ....cast our crowns before Thee, lost in wonder, love and grace... ...Worthy to receive honour, and power, and riches and glory... By you all things were created.... He's the Lion of the tribe of Judah,.... Worthy the Lamb ...Ten thousand thousand are their songs and all their joys are one. Lamb of God, that takest away the sins of the world... Quote

Debora Posted December 20, 2003 Report Posted December 20, 2003 Q1. Many Christian hymns, songs, and choruses come from Revelation chapters 4 and 5. Which can you think of? The first three come to mind, the others I had to look up for I could not remember the titles and a couple I never heard of are listed. I found there are many hymns that come from the book of Revelation other than from chapters 4 and 5 which I did think of too but not applicable to this list. There are many more that can be listed from Revelation 4 and 5 as well. I noticed under search for internet topics you find many, many more traditional and contemporary Revelation inspired hymns, songs, spiritual songs. 1. Holy, Holy, Holy 2. Worthy is the Lamb 3. All Hail the Power of Jesus' Name 4. You Are Worthy 5. Kings and Priests to Our God 6. Alleluia, Alleluia, Give Thanks 7. You Alone Are Holy 9. The Lord Our God 10. Out of Every Tribe and Tongue and People and Nation When I see the word chorus, if it pertains to doxology, I think of: 1. Amen 2. Great Amen 3. Hallelujah, Hallelujah Quote
wallyb Posted March 14, 2004 Report Posted March 14, 2004 Holy Holy Holy,,Thou Art Worthy,,Come Thou Long Expected Jesus,,The Messiah..The Doxology. Some of the most beautiful music written comes from John's Revelation. Quote

Julie Ann Posted July 4, 2004 Report Posted July 4, 2004 Hymns from chapters 4 & 5: Holy, Holy, Holy and Worthy is the Lamb were the obvious ones to me. After that I had to do some other research to find the names of others. Ones I found are: Come Thou Almighty Crowns, Gloria Patri, Hallelujah Chorus & Praise Him Praise Him. Quote

Barbara1 Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 Being a Charsmatic Christian a lot of our songs are song from a screen without titles but are all praise songs based from scripture. But the one that stands out the most from earlier years of hymn books is How Great Thou Are. Quote
