crissy464
They don't want to see or hear the things happening around them and what God has done for them Israel 10 years ago I wasn't into religion that much. I had lost my job and a pastor who had come to my work place had told me to come listen to him at his church. So i went and I really enjoyed it. Since then I’ve been doing a lot of bible studies. Dove81
Q4. (Isaiah 42:18-25) According to this passage, in what ways is God's "servant" blind? Why? Who is the "servant" in this passage? How would you assess your own degree of spiritual blindness in the last 5 or 10 years? How effective is a blind servant in accomplishing his master's purposes? How effective have you been? God’s servant is blind because they are not being lead by the Holy Spirit. They know better, they know the word of God but they still choose to live life by the world’s design. In stead of having spiritual eyes to see and hear and to live a life that reflects that. In the last 5-10 years I have grown so much in my spiritual life. I was so lost and it took a serious incident in my life to wake me up to what I always knew was the life i was supposed to be living. I thank God everyday that he saved my life and I didn't die in sin, not having known the goodness of God and his forgiveness, grace and mercy. There is definitely room for improvement in my spiritual walk. I don’t believe anyone ever “arrives” spiritually because God is continuing a good work in all believers until Jesus returns. The blind servant is spiritually blind and deaf to what God is saying. They have ears to hear and eyes to see but only in the physical relm, the wordly relm of things. Which is why Jesus told the Pharisees in 9:39-41 that if they were blind they have no sin, but if they say they see then sin still remains in them. They couldnt see the word of God in the spiritual they where being lead by the word. I need to grow in that area for myself and to better serve God. I have been effective in leading people back to God and praying with them. Ive shared my testimonies which has encouraged others. Yet i still feel like I don't always know the right decisions to make in my own life and have a hard time hearing spiritual what to do. So in those times I wait, not wanting to make the wrong decisions.
